But if we look at the Celtics, they made it before against the Warriors, while this is the first time that the Mavs will advance in the finals with Luka. And most likely if they didn't get Kyrie, there will be no help from Luka again.

And for Kyrie, he had won a ring already, and he did played with the Celtics a couple of years back and it didn't went well with the Celtics that time. This angle is also being look at this finals, wherein analyst are seeing the Kyrie will want to win badly another ring and it will be at the expense of his former team.

Experience doesn't matter a lot anymore. We have to look at which team is better. If we consider experience as one of the biggest factors in determining the chances of winning, what do we make of the Wolves vs. Nuggets series, where a team led by a young superstar beat the defending champion?

The Celtics may have been in the NBA Finals before, but we can't underestimate Dallas here, as they beat the team that defeated the defending champion. Additionally, they battled against a healthy team, unlike the Celtics, whose journey to the finals was relatively easy.

But those two works hand in hand, Wolves are betting in terms of standing and they beat the defending champion, the Denver Nuggets. But look at how they got destroyed by the Mavs because they don't have that kind of experience in the West conference finals while Luka has been there and so is Irving.

So experience is important in the finals and of course, the coach and it's play and the execution. Jason Kidd has the edge as far as NBA experience goes so we will give credit to him if they win this NBA championship.

It doesn't add up. Nuggets have more experience than the Wolves since they have won the champion, and it's still very fresh compared to Luka and Irving where they have been in the conference finals years back. Miami Heat even have more experience in the NBA finals before but they still lose to the Nuggets. So although experience is quite important, but things will be different once they are in the NBA Finals as long as both teams are confident and hungry to win.  For me, betting with Dallas is not guaranteed but I trust them like I trust them to beat the Wolves in the WCF despite being the underdog.

With that, it means that it is still very unpredictable isn't it. Even if you lead 2-0, you are not not assured that you will win the trophy although your chance are good. So for me this is still very interesting match-up and it will be the first time that we might see this kind of set-up. Number 1 team in the East going against the Number 5 in the West.

And then it will be a duo, not super team compose of 3 or more elite players.

But as we have seen in the finals, the key is defense and who can best execute and not commit turn over or minimized it specially in the last 2 minutes of the game.

Yup nothing is secure as long as the series ain't over even you are in a good lead that's not an assurance that you'll win the title, you need to protect that lead and end the series to enjoy the celebration, I guess both are capable and we can't compare the regular season with the final series, as we all know that all the players and the coaching stuff will do their best to win and become the season champ!

Like what you mentioned, a system game where defense and offense needs to execute correctly, both star players will need the support of all the role players and they need to blend together to execute their goals.

Well, you can say that, and in every 10 people that you will ask who's in favor in this match-up, I would say 8 out of 10 would say Boston as well. I mean they are one of the favorites to win the title even before the start of the regular season, so no surprise that you're saying it.

I predicted the Mavericks will win this series not because I hate with the Celtics, or they're weaker, but they are lacking in one thing and that's crucial. What's that? They don't have a clutch player that can step up in close games. Tatum can't do that, so as Brown. The Celtics are winning by an average of 10 PPG in this year's playoffs. They are winning through total domination and in close games. They are having a hard time finding who can make the last shot. For the Mavericks, they have 2 clutch player that you can rely on if needed. The question is, how will they stop Luka and Kyrie, or at least make them less efficient in the whole series.

Odds are clearly in Boston obviously, but it's also the same thing when Dallas fought the Timberwolves. All eyes are on the Wolves at that time, and many already predicted that they will win, but what happened. I know that Boston isn't Minnesota, and Boston are stronger and more experienced, but I believe that the Mavericks will at least give them a hard time to win series that's for sure.

The Celtics are winning not only because of dominance but also because of luck. At least they were lucky enough to have their opponents' key players out due to injuries in the previous rounds. As for whether the Celtics can stop Kyrie and Luka, it's worth noting that they were able to do so with some success during the regular season. Just to remind you, the last game between these two teams ended with the Celtics winning by 28 points.

We will never forget that but this is the NBA Finals, it's adjustments throughout the series that we are going to witness. I think Dallas just have enough confidence to play the Celtics at a high level, forget about that regular season as its still cost one game per loss, regardless on how big the margin of win from the Celtics. What I'm thankful for these two is that they are all healthy, so as a fan, we are gonna see a very interesting match up.

No chance for Dallas in this finals.

Boston Celtics is way better than them, Dallas Mavericks only relly on the super performance of they two stars Luka Doncic and Kirie Irving, but what if they are in a bad day? what if Boston Celtics knows how to defend them?.

For that i think the odds are clearly in Boston favour, if you ask me is like a 75% chance of win the title for Boston and only a 25% per Dallas Mavericks.

Who else can relate?
I really can relate to this, waiting for the NBA finals to start. Since Mavericks versus Boston Celtics is an exciting match for this finals.
I believe there will be some sleepless nights for some countries as the times of the games are different for some countries.

No chance for Dallas in this finals.
It's debatable, both are champions on their own conferences and that's why both of them have the chances.

Boston Celtics is way better than them, Dallas Mavericks only relly on the super performance of they two stars Luka Doncic and Kirie Irving
Not at all with Dallas, they've got other performers who helps in defense and scoring too.

but what if they are in a bad day? what if Boston Celtics knows how to defend them?.
This question can also be asked oppositely for the Boston.

For that i think the odds are clearly in Boston favour, if you ask me is like a 75% chance of win the title for Boston and only a 25% per Dallas Mavericks.
Then that's settled, you contradict what you've said that there's no chance but there is a 25% chance for Dallas to win.  Cheesy

Don't worry, we've got few more days and it's less than a week until we see the first match. Let's see who's stat is going to be better on this NBA finals.

All of those stats won't be relevant anymore as the important thing here is who's going to get the title and who contributes more not just in points but all kinds of stats and situational plays.

I'm just showing the numbers and that is their stat on the playoff, so it's recent and I do think it is important. Lol, of course there are a lot of intangibles here, but as I have said, numbers are there to gauge how good the team is and why they are in the finals, they have the best duo right now and they score the bulk for their team.
You're right, they're for the record and we'll know if they're going to be consistent with the numbers that they've provided. Well, I'm not arguing since we're all fans and bettors here.

No problem if they're important but it's just different for me.

Both crowds are one of the loudest though, so just imagine playing game 1 and how the fans are going to be in Boston. Or fans of Mavs travelling to Boston to support their teams and same with Boston. Celtics is the favorite in game 1 so let's see if they can keep up with the odds or Mavs pushing again to pull an upset.
I probably going to skip the game 1 for betting and we'll see how both of these teams will adjust.

Latest NBA coaching rumors: Thibodeau extension, Jeff Van Gundy could return, Ham, Redick
~
Do you like this?
If you follow JJ Redick's podcast, you will somehow get an idea of why he is being targeted for a coaching job. He has a wide knowledge of the sport and watching him and Lebron James talk about it in his podcast is damn informative.
I think Lebron James might also have an effect on why he is being talked about as a Coach for the Lakers.
But I am against it. I like hearing the voice of Redick on sports news and his being a coach means he won't get that freedom of speech anymore as a basketball sports analyst and media. Also, I think he is too young and he might not get the respect that he wanted if he starts being a coach.
All coaches are starting as an inexperienced one.
Steve Kerr also started his coaching career on the Warriors and immediately made an impact with the team winning 4 titles in his whole stint. Ime Udoka lead his Celtics to the NBA Finals in his first year alone. While there are some coaches who ended up being a good coach in their own teams, there are some who really coaches who many people don't like like Darvin Ham with the Lakers, and Steve Nash when he was the coach of the Nets.

As for JJ Redick, he can try to be a head coach for a team like the Lakers and the interaction between him and Lebron on his podcast himself increases the chances of him getting hired. TBH, I don't see any coaches that is fit with the Lakers aside from him. If you will add a coach that might get hired as the new coach of the Lakers, who would it be? I mean it's just your opinion. Smiley As for Coach Thibs' contract extension, he deserves it because of how he lead his Knicks team in this playoffs. I just don't want the fact that he uses his players the whole game, and will not let him rest like what happened to Josh Hart where there are times where he played every single minute of the game.

~

The journey to the NBA Finals might be very easy for the Celtics because the all-star of their opponents are injured, but we know for the fact that the Celtics are one of the best teams even before the season even starts. For years, they have been at the top 5 teams to win the title. As for the Mavericks, I agree with what you said that we don't need to underestimate them because we already saw how the duo of Luka and Kyrie dominated their opponents especially Doncic. The question right now is, how will Holiday and White lessen his performance in every game.

I'm reading some good stats on this finals, Luka and Kyrie averages 51.6, while Tatum and Brown averages 51.0. So that even out everything if they are going to play that big in the finals. And again, we all know that defense win the game, so we will see how each team will have their best defenders, like White and Jrue Holiday for the Celtics and then we have PJ Washington, Derrick Jones Jr., or even Josh Green and Dante Exum.

So it's really a intriguing finals match-up, Kyrie harboring resentment against the Celtics, and then Tatum and Brown trying to erase that stigma against the Warriors in 2022 wherein they have a good lead in the series only to crumble down.

It's a system game between them I know players win the game like MJ said, but it's more on how the coach will design their plays, I think the series will be a game of adjustments, though both of them deserves to win as they are now in the finals, but who will win will depend to who's more hunger to take the trophy,  it going to be rely to how fans believe on them and for sure both teams got their own crowd that relying to how they'll going to play their game during the series.

Tatum and Brown are just being hype, when Kyrie played with the Celtics, he was their best player, and now he is back, he is still very confident as the was their leader before. Kyrie and Luka were the real superstar here, and a real superstar knows how to win games in clutch, and honestly (no offense), I don't see both Tatum and Brown are good in clutch times.

I could be wrong though, but sorry, this is just my personal opinion and I can't lie although it might hurt the Celtcis fans.

Not a Celtics fan but I have to disagree that Tatum or Brown is hype, I would agree that they are the best duo and Luka and Kyrie is late into the picture. But the later exploded this playoff so I think their names deserves to be in the same sentence with Tatum and Brown.

I'm saying that they are not overhype because they were able to bring the Celtics into the finals already, but the experience and the championship DNA of the Warriors that time was too much for them. Now, they are the one with the experience, but still with Luka, this series is unpredictable.

Latest NBA coaching rumors: Thibodeau extension, Jeff Van Gundy could return, Ham, Redick
https://sports.yahoo.com/latest-nba-coaching-rumors-thibodeau-021812251.html
Quote
Buzz only gets louder about J.J. Redick coaching the Lakers. Rob Pelinka and the Lakers front office are taking their time with the search for a new coach and are interviewing multiple people for the job. However, a variety of league sources speaking to NBC Sports say the buzz that J.J. Redick will ultimately land the job is only growing louder. While LeBron James and his agent Rich Paul have said he's not involved in the coaching search, the perception (at the very least) is Redick is who he wants, and LeBron can be a free agent this summer so there is leverage. Also, Anthony Davis (another Rich Paul/Klutch client) will have a say in the hire but appears good with Redick (Davis was not a big fan of Ham). Whether there is a consensus yet among the Lakers decision makers on Redick is up for debate, all signs point to the Lakers leaning toward the former player and current podcaster/broadcaster (Redick will be part of ABC's team broadcasting the NBA Finals, so an announcement could be on hold until after the Finals ends).

I guess that whoever gets to do some contribution on crucial plays even with lesser points, they're always being honored not just by the team but most of the fans.

I think it's relevant though, I mean this players are the heart of soul of their respective teams so it's very important for them to at least get into their scoring averages. This is the finals so expect a lot of tough defense from both teams, so meaning it's going to be very different to score. But they will have to lead their teams no matter what. I remember Brown not shooting very well against the Pacers in game one but as one of their leaders, he had to shoot that 3 and force the OT and win the game for them. Same with Luka in game 4, he had bad shooting night and so they didn't sweep the Wolves. But he learn from that lesson and shoot the lights out in game 5 from the first quarter alone and then 4-1 win for them.
