Anyway, I've read that message of Steph for Klay, it was touching and heartwarming. It's hard to accept that but he knows that this is business and the times that they've been together will remain forever in their hearts and shared a lot of championships already.

Yeah. Well, Pippen did part ways with Jordan too although we all know those two are like brothers. Steph and Klay had been through thick and thin so I bet they will still be brothers no matter where they will go.
"Splash bros for life."
It's sweet but very soon they will be up against each other and I'd like to see what could happen. But there's more that I want to see. We all know both Doncic and Klay Thompson have some beef with Booker of the Suns. If they play against each other, I bet there will be a lot of trash-talking that will happen. It's two against one now. Cheesy
For sure if they face each other in a game, it will be fierce as both are very competitive in nature. Not blaming the Warriors for the demise of Klay, I mean they offered him good money in the beginning of the season if I'm not mistaken, but Klay gamble and says no and probably bet on this performance this season but it was a very different Klay. If he only perform good, perhaps he will have the same max contract or a huge contract offered to him. So there's nothing that the Warriors can do to keep him with the team. It was really Klay who did it to himself and maybe he really doesn't want to remain in the Warriors and so it's now done, no more Splash Brothers and probably if they face in a crucial game, we are going to see how competitive they are.

They will remain friends, but this is business. When a team no longer needs you and your value drops, it's time to look for another team that will help you grow your value. For Klay Thompson, who struggled a lot during his time with the Warriors after winning a championship again, it's time to move on to another team and try to win another championship. He didn't get a huge contract, but he can keep his pride with the new team. With the Warriors, he would only be criticized if he doesn't return to his old form.

Joe Ingles to the Minnesota Timberwolves was a signing I didn’t see coming. I guess with the athleticism of Anthony Edwards maybe a guy like Joe Ingles will help spread the floor a little bit more while having the defensive player of the year in Rudy Gobert might help shore up things on the defensive end for him.

While I do find it very sad to see Klay Thompson leaving Warriors, it also has to be considered that we are talking about Klay Thompson going to a team where he can fit like a glove. One thing that they will talk a lot about is that Kyrie is there, and Klay vs Kyrie played against each other on their Warriors vs Cavs finals series multiple times, and did manage to win over each other as well.
(....)
We are still not sure if Klay Thompson will fit in the Dallas, like the chemistry combination of Kyrie Irving and Luka Dončić.
I am also curious if Klay Thompson will be back in his play just like how he played during their multiple championship rings during his time in Golden State Warriors.

I think Dallas is definitely the perfect fit for him.  Whether he will thrive or not is uo to him.  Luka gets doubled all the time, and kyrie attacking the zone and having defenses collapse will open up tons of spot up 3 point opportunities.  Not sure if he is on the decline in his career at this point but this is a great fit.

He is on a strong decline in his career of course.
Another thing I don't like about signing him, he has become a defensive liability. The back court is already not that strong defensively but adding Klay, who was a very good defender but now isn't even close to that, just weakens them even more when he will be on the field. Overall I don't like his productivity and his mindset. He didn't deserve a pick up for good money after all his crying and blaming. He got paid a lot of money for not playing and then acts like a spoiled kid once they won't (because also they can't) pay him what he thinks he deserves. The NBA is not a charity and they have to pay heavy fines when they go over the cap. Doing this because one guy thinks he deserves it because of his "legacy" would just be bad business.

Dalles will regret this contract real quick I think, or maybe he is just getting hurt again, that's what he he does best in recent years.

I’m glad to see Kemba Walker join the Hornets coaching staff as a player enhancement coach. I thought the Hornets did him dirty by underpaying him for so long and then dumping him. This is the type of move that shows an organization is a class act though. This is what Boston should’ve done for Isiah Thomas.

What are your take here fellas? It's just sad because, after Kevin Durant left the Golden States, Klay Thompson is next.
So, Draymond Green + Stephen Curry left in the team. Their chemistry before winning multiple championships is superb, I still believe that Golden States Warrior will still have something to blow.
Klay on GSW run is a big factor, I don't know about green, i would bet on the king of midrange Livingston than him, he even cost them a ring vs lebron, I would say the big factor on GSW during their era is Steph Klay Shaun Livingston, not that much on dray, in my opinion, they have better players but since their GM left the team they are giving away players who have potentials, even trade JP to appease green.

I’m a little bit surprised to see LeBron sign a two year deal instead of a 3 year deal. I wonder if the motivation there was retirement after 2 years or if he’s freeing himself up to possibly sign a one year deal with whoever drafts Bryce so he can say he played with both of his sons. Interesting to think about.
That's reasonable for me. I think that after this contract, he might retire. I agree with Bryce's statement that he can't play his father because LeBron is going to be 42 by the time he is drafted.

Also, LeBron doesn't need to prove anything anymore. For me, when it comes to the GOAT discussion, I can say he's the GOAT. Stats don't lie

You're a Lebron fan, eh? That's why you said that he's the GOAT. Not against you of course because until now, even the smartest sports analysts are debating about that. For me, it's still MJ that's the GOAT, and Lebron is at near 2nd.

As for him only getting 2 years, I think what you said was true that he might retire after this contract. He didn't get a pay cut like what most are expecting because they didn't get the players that he wants to play with them like Valanciunas, Harden, Thompson, and DeRozan. Maybe they can still get DeMar depending on the situation. Whatever happens, I also don't see him anything to prove anymore because he's at the top already. One of the best players ever played in the NBA.

And that's what the Spurs is lacking of, someone that can lead the team and with experience and age too. For sure that most of the players there are going to respect him. Compared to what with we've seen in the past that when Wemby's free and open and asking for the ball, he's not even given the pass.
At least the Spurs won't be pressured since they aren't currently a playoff team. With CP3 leading them and a good coach, the team should improve, as long as there's no problem with their chemistry. CP3 is probably the oldest on the roster, given that the Spurs are composed of young players. Now that they have an experienced and veteran PG, it's really exciting to see how they'll play next season.
Yes, there's not that much expectation during the 1st year of Wemby and now, this is a well planned addition by Coach Popo. I can't wait to see on how they're going to do with their first games since CP3 is going to manage it all and look after all of them inside the court.
The capability of CP3 of making the team better is not in question now as he is one of the best PG in the NBA. However, although I do not wish but I can't be confident enough that he'll stay healthy in the season. CP3 is already aging and he has been experiencing injuries that's why sometimes he is missing in some important games, hopefully it will not happen with the Spurs especially if they'll be in the playoffs.

While Paul George has signed with the Philly. His former teammate on the Clippers, James Harden will sign and go back to the Clippers with a 2-year $70 million contract.
Source: Reports: James Harden to return to Clippers on 2-year, $70 million deal[url]

PG's contract is huge, $212M for 4 years, that's $53 million per year, probably his biggest conract and he is blessed that after the serious injury he suffered he was able to come back and even improve his value.
Well, he deserve that. But it's known that all of the amounts that are projected and given to the players are always slashed with huge tax, agent's fee and other commissions that are taken from them. But yes, this is a big one and we can expect him to be with them for the next 4 years.

That's true, I think tax is the major deduction of that contact, however it's still a huge amount and PG had secured his future with another big contract. I know he'll do good in any team that he'll play but honestly, I have a little doubt if the chemistry will work between PG and Embiid.

I don't know that PG contract might become an albatross real quick.  Last year he reached 70 games in the regular season but the 3 years leading up to that he played like half the year.  He is 34 amd will be almost 38 at the end of that contract.  He is on the wrong side of 30.  Philly now has to keep embiid and pg healthy for a whole year.  Tough business for them

If it's about staying healthy, we all know that all of the players are in that risk. I've seen a stats comparison to the teams that he's been with and the stats entirely have increased for most of them when he landed to each of those teams.

I've read for some decisions that these players make is about the paycut through taxes. That's why even if they want to stay to a team but if it's sucking too much money from their contract through taxes, that's why they're moving to other state and teams due to the considerable lowered amount of percentage for the tax that they're obliged to pay so, that's one major factor why a player moves even if he's loved and been loved by the fans and citizens there.

Maybe that's his next plan, just waiting for Bryce to get drafted and would go there whichever team drafts Bryce.

It seems far fetched, but it does seem like he is at least leaving that option open. Imagine if he wins a ring with Bronny and then goes to a team that drafts Bryce but has salary cap room to sign him and a couple other big names on their way out… Then he wins another ring with Bryce to tie MJ. That would be a hell of a way to end your career.
That's a great exit and that legacy he'll leave will be incomparable. MJ has got a different era and no doubt that many considers him as the goat.

While LBJ, he's there, made histories and probably gonna make another sometime soon. So, it's true that he's there trying to beat the odds before his career ends and announces his retirement.

Kyle "Slow mo" Anderson to the Warriors and it also been reported that they are in deep talks with the Sixers to acquire Buddy Hield, one of the best 3 points shooter we have in the NBA, and also with Lauri Markkanen. So they are aggressive right now to fill in the void that was left by Klay Thompson and maybe more. Good for a role player like Anderson, he did good last season with the Wolves but probably if Looney is going to be traded then one role of Anderson is for the pick and roll on Curry which Looney has perfected already and help them bring rings as well during his Warrior tenure.
Haha! This has become a meme over the internet. But good luck to him being in the Dubs nation. He's a look-a-like of Steph as well so we've got two Steph playing there as shooters.  Cheesy
Anyway, I've read that message of Steph for Klay, it was touching and heartwarming. It's hard to accept that but he knows that this is business and the times that they've been together will remain forever in their hearts and shared a lot of championships already.

Winning a ring with the same lineup seems unlikely, especially since LeBron's age is catching up with him season by season. It's not that the Lakers are a bad team, but last season showed that it's all about LeBron and Davis, with the supporting cast not being as effective. If LeBron were still in his prime, it might be possible, but now he's not as unstoppable. Although he's developed his passing skills well, his aggressiveness in driving to the paint isn't the same anymore.

Winning a ring with Bronny would definitely silence the critics who say LeBron influenced the management to draft his son. However, as I mentioned, it's unlikely given the current situation. We never know, though. Bronny's performance this season will determine his future. Even if they win a championship, it doesn't guarantee Bronny a good contract if he doesn't produce numbers comparable to those of a star player.

The possibilities you mentioned are difficult but not impossible.
We will be able to watch Lebron for 2 more years. 2 years is a long time, I hope we continue to enjoy it.
Also, only two people in the NBA have a non-trade clause in their contracts. One is Lebron James, the other is Bradley Beal.

Isaiah Hartenstein goes to the Oklahoma City Thunders.

Isaiah Hartenstein agrees to 3-year, $87 million deal with Oklahoma City Thunder: Reports

Main reason, as said is about New York Knicks inability to pay him what he should receive from them as per Shams Charania.

Yeah the Knicks couple only offer something like 70 mil over 4 years they are hard capped after that.  Was hoping he took a discount to be on the knicks but okc offered crazy good money for him good for him.  Knicks now need to grab a solid backup and someone that can hold the fort down if big mitch goes down for any significant amount of time.
OKC became stronger after this trade happened. Hartenstein sure is going to be an additional man for their roster will have a stronger defense and as well as offense inside the paint.

Too bad that the Knicks can't keep him due to the budget constraint.

I think he will fit there like a glove without a doubt. Why? Because right now they have two players who likes to have the ball, meaning that they can't have yet another player who would be better for ball handling, they needed someone who doesn't require the ball on his hands while they are on offense.

Klay Thompson is that guy, he played with Curry and Draymond, one is a great ball handler and shooter, the other one is a little maniac but can distribute the ball very well too, so Klay rarely ever had any dribbling required from him, he just shot it when he got it. Sure this new "zero points" narrative will haunt him for a while, but he is getting older, so it's normal that he gets worse, I think that won't be repeated though, he will definitely play better than that, no matter where he was. Dallas is also a team that went to finals, so adding a player who is a great defender and a shooter would only be helpful for them without a doubt.
