One thing I didn’t expect about this series between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Dallas Mavericks is that there would be a Kyrie Irving vs Anthony Edwards narrative. I’m happy to see it though. Kyrie’s postgame interview was funny to see when they asked him about it. You can really see Kyrie’s growth as a person over the last few years.

That's true. He has come a long way since covid and his antics while being a member of the Brooklyn Nets.
When Dallas traded for him I thought "man, how could they". Giving up 2 of their best defensive players in Dorian Finney Smith and Spencer Dinwiddie, AND 3 future picks.
And now it seems like they have done everything right. Kyrie is his own self again and paired with Luka their are a back court double punch the league is afraid of.
Still, if one of those 2 has an off night Dallas is in trouble, especially if one of the tho is Luka.
Let's see how Dallas will play in the games to come. 1:0 and home court advantage looks nice on paper but in the previous 2 rounds they also lost 1 game at home in each round. Minnesota on the other hand showed they can win on the road winning 3 games in Denver as well as both games in Phoenix.
I for some reason still see the T'wolves ahead and they will win this series (also because I hate Dallas now because every time I bet on the they lose  Grin ).

Imagine Wolfes vs Pacers in the finals. that would be a great surprise, best defense vs best offense. What more can we hope for?
Boston is too boring and Dalles, I have the mentioned reasons to not root for them.  Wink

Okay, just few hours until Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals Pacers vs. Celtics starts. I think the Celtics will win this Game 2 again. In Game 1, I know the Pacers almost won, but I think it will be easier for the Celtics to win this time because I'm sure Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla will make some adjustments. The Celtics bench is also really good. They're more talented compared to Pacers bench. Payton Pritchard almost averaging 10 pts per games this playoffs.

What to say about the yesterday game.... very complicated to analize for me, because i wasnt expecting a Dallas Mavericks wins , Minesota after defeating Denver becomes the best contender of the west side for me, they seem solid and they take down the reigning champion, but well seems like Luka Doncic wants to start to make his name on NBA.

I think there's nothing wrong with that odds, punters are  good at putting the line for us to bet, and so it's either we take it or not and believed otherwise. I'm one of those though who fall for the Wolves in game 1 as I thought that they will win with ANT leading but it seems that he had struggle in this game.

But the game 2 is still unpredictable though, it could be a trap that the Mavs are now the clear favorite. But the Wolves are good at adjusting and obviously, they don't want to be down 0-2 in this series, just saying.
The odds are just correct as it's expected the Wolves are gonna even the series, the question now is if they could cover or not. Based ont their records in the playoffs, if they win they usually cover the spread, so it's safe to assume that if they'll win game 2, it should be close to double digit if it will not fall into that. Still it's a risk because there's no guarantee it will happen, all that is just the line set up by the odds provider, so we just have to choose the right side, and hopefully we can.

Yeah I pretty much think whoever is the home team will be slight favorites here unless one of the stars gets hurt or isn't playing.  I think Wolves even it up but who knwos last series with them the road teams kept winning.  Gonna be a back and forth series if it was anything like last night.  The other series is going to be boring.  Can't see it going more than 5 or so games

There's no wrong odds, it's just their for us to choose which side we will bet. odds provider are good in setting up lines. One team could be overvalued or undervalued, at the end of the day, it's still up to our evaluation as there's no team that are guaranteed to win. If we believe in upset, that's the unexpected happened, so in this game, even if Dallas are underdog by +5, I think we can't consider it to fall on the upset view if they'll beat the Wolves again as they have already done that in game 1.

Regardless though, just keep in analyzing the game, and make it right to convert your knowledge into money. This series is gonna be a long one, so always try to analyze both teams as it's not advisable to just bet on one team only in a series of games, or just bet on the series price, that would be easier.

Well, this is just game 1, there's still more game to be played but Dallas winning on the road is big, they don't need to win game 2, they are still ahead IMO. what I'm surprise with this is that Dallas have more points in the paint compared to the Wolves which is suppose to be the opposite.
True, but as a Mavericks fun this already bring safisfaction, one win at a time, I trust Kyrie and Luka to deliver so I'm very positive with the possible outcome of the series that will favor the Mavs. There will be more adjustments that will happen, just like the Nuggets vs Wolves series, every game was really unpredictable, Wolves took 2 games on the road  and they loss 2 at their homecourt as well, who would  even thought of that?

now the series odds has changed, it's quite the opposite before game 1.

Dallas now at 1.59 and Wolves at 2.38.
Yes, it's quite the opposite now, Dallas even away from home are the clear favorite in game 2 because of what they have shown in game 1. I thought that the Wolves are going to take it in a very close game. And they did manage to take a good lead early, but they are missing their outside shot specially from ANT, Towns and Naz Reid. And they are the number 1 defensive team but they can't stop Luka and Kyrie. And their bigs dominated the Wolves, Lively and Gafford makes it hard for Rudy to dominate the rebounding department. So time again for the Wolves to make a adjustment and at least tie the series in game 2.
Probably a clear favorite for some but on the sportsbook, they aren't. In fact, if we check on our sportsbook now, the spread of Wolves is now -5, which is higher by 1 in game 1. I can say that it might attrack a lot of bettors in game 2 that will favor Dallas because they beat the Wolves and yet it only resulted to an increase of point spread for the Wolves, it doesn't make sense but bookies are good at making lines for bettors to fall into trap.

This duo in Dallas Mavericks is insane! 30+ points to each of them. The teamwork is really alive and their chemistry, compared to other teams there is only 1 player that got the most points. LuKai is doing it.
Well done for this tandem. Despite that it was an homecourt advantage for the Timberwolves, LuKy was able to score this match.

Mike Conley was the key player on the possible overtime when there were few seconds left. He's fouled at 3 point line and Dallas was on the 4 points lead.

He has to shoot first and second free throw and possibly to miss the third one and get a quick response to have two points to just tie the game.

But he didn't shoot the 2nd shot and by that time, Luka already clapped and that's their victory.

It's no surprise that the odds changed in favor of the Mavs after the first game. However, I still think the Wolves will finally win this series and become the Western Conference champions. Objectively speaking, the Nuggets were clearly a tougher opponent for the Wolves than the Mavs.

Yeah he needs to show some respect though it's his gesture of being competitive and it might inspire him to play hard just like how Kyrie play being inspire by that kind of challenge, proving that you can still bring something and manage to win the game, I like the exchange attacks of Kyrie and Luka they are not forcing it but instead they really managing the help that they can get from all their teammates, like what you said those young big man they all working hard fighting for the second chance points.

It's tough for them and they are against a team who beat the defending champion and still managed to win game one with a hard-fought battle. It wasn't an easy game for them and they needed to win number 1 as much as possible because winning against Timberwolves when their big men are healthy is almost impossible. Thankfully, they were sinking threes and sometimes back to back to get the lead or not to be left behind too long. which is kinda bad in the NBA playoff games because they are having a hard time catching up in the last quarter because they won't be given any easy chance to do so.

Really wasn't easy for Dallas to defeat the Wolves since we see that each of them is really connecting well and provide more better defense its just Dallas is showing some great experience and take advantage to take the lead for the first game of this series. We see a lot of actions happening and for sure people watching the game is satisfied for what they see on that game. Its great to see a classic Kyrie stepping up and provide some good numbers for his team since it really show they are  trying their best  to take the lead and possible get the advantage before the Wolves will gather its momentum. I expect that game two would be more intense since for sure its time for Wolves to take revenge and they provably won't allow Dallas to get another win since this will be dangerous for them if they allow that.

Kyrie will probably remain unstoppable as he had already proved it in game 1. he like the match up with ANT which is the best player of the wolves. Luka as well is playing great basketball, his shooting struggled at the beginning but in the 2nd half, especially in the 4th quarter, he exploded again.

Like I told you guys most in my posts about the Dallas Mavericks, Kyrie Irving will be the key player of the game. If he starts aggressive early in the game, the Mavs will survive anything and it will boost the offensive energy of his teammates which happened today.

A very close game and it was so damn entertaining, teeth-clenching, heart-stopping, and exciting. I cannot even count how many times I stopped breathing for a while because of how close the game was. This is the playoffs that we had been waiting for.

The Mavs stopped AntMan at 19 points, Gobert at 7 rebounds only (not normal), and Towns at 16 points. That's the recipe to win a game. Don't let Ant get his rhythm and get offensive rebounds as much as possible which I believe is credited to their Twin Towers Lively (4/11 off. rebounds) and Gafford (4/9 off. rebounds). All of that could've been for Gobert but those two did a great job giving their team a second chance opportunity.

Yea, as what we have been seeing, Kyrie doesn't have a good series OKC, but here he did step up and that is scary for the Wolves in game 1. He looks like he is looking for this kind of game to show his talent again, whether he goes left or right of even if it is the DPOY in front of him, he will take his shot.

I thought it will be a good match up down with Gafford and Lively against Gobert and Towns, but it was the Mavs who are more dominant and Gobert didn't get his usual rebounds. Although Towns scores, he has difficulty against Lively as he was blocked twice in one possession.

He need to teach ANT a lesson that he is no easy opponent for him and its good to see him that he step up since that leave some statement that he need to respect the veteran like him. But this is a intense match and Wolves also show some quality performance. I really think earlier that they could take the win on game one since they are dictating the phase of the game and they shoot a lot of three pointers while Mavs struggling in rainbow area. But what make Mavs alive is their inside offense and second chance opportunity that's why Wolves didn't get a far lead from Mavs.

Also its really amazing to see the young big man of Mavs perform so well since they really bring a big help to get the win on game 1.
