Another stellar performance by Luka Magic, here are his stats in the game against the Wizards.

31 points, 20 assists, and 12 rebounds.
I know this guy would become MVP someday, if not this season.

It was the battle of triple-double machines, Westbrook vs Luka but Luka won this game, it's a very close match though.

I just watched the highlights and it was really a close game, Luka's unselfishness made them win.
Look now, https://ph.global.nba.com/standings/... Dallas is already in the number 5 with this win, 1 rank higher than the Lakers now.

They continue games such as that, they will secure their spot on the playoff. as for The Lakers, they are in trouble and they kept losing every time they play their crucial game. I think the long days that Lebron hasn't step into the court affect the rhythms of the team and now he's back, they need a new adjustment. well, they need to do whatever adjustment they need there on the 6 spots now and the teams behind them are going to demolish them when they fell to that play-in mini-tournament just before the playoffs.

Lakers are also on the edge to be pushed to 7th position which is not a good thing when AD and Lebron just came back. They will need that rest before the playoffs to fully heal and have their A game.

Davis and Lebron were absent for a very long time, and I guess they have had enough rest. Sure, AD and LJ need to play some more matches to adapt after injuries, but these guys don't have much time for this, considering that only nine games left until the end of the regular season.

That's why there back is against the wall for now, they have to win every remaining games just to stay in the spot the problem is their next 6 games is against a very tough teams.

vs Raptors
vs Nuggets
vs Clippers
vs Portland
vs Suns
vs Knicks

Ouch!, except for Toronto, the rest are high caliber teams. So imagine what's going on Lebron's mind right now.

That's not gonna be a big problem when LeBron gets back to his groove and finds his rhythm. He could lead his team to get a few more wins to secure the 5th spot and we'll have to witness the Battle of LA in the first round If the Clippers sustain their current position lol.

I honestly don't worry much for the Lakers right now. They'll make it to the playoffs no matter what.

Damn, it will be a rough road for them.
All of these teams do want to win their last remaining games and take the 1st and 2nd seed.
For obvious reasons, they want to battle an exhausted 7th and 8th seed that just finished a hardcore game in the play-in tournament.
A good tactic to advance in the 1st round of the playoffs with less effort. Lebron and the Lakers team will need to perform at their highest level to defeat them.

If being force by certain situations, LeBron and AD playing together still deadly especially if they are healthy.

Those remaining games are tough and with them trying to hold for the playoffs they needed to keep winning. As it's been mentioned
those teams are also trying to keep their playoff spot and wanting to have a much smoother next round, let see if how LeBron and the
whole Lakers squad handle all this remaining games.

Yeah, it will be really hard for James to win against those top team because they are also eager to have a good position.

Regarding those words from Lebron, yeah, he seems to admit that his body has taken a lot of toll in his NBA career, I do hope that he has enough years for him though to see him and Bronnie play along in the NBA as the same time, that will be great.

Right, the next remaining schedule for them is really tough, and even though those teams are assured of a playoff berth, they still wanted to improved their rankings so that it will be relatively easy for them to face a 7th or 8th seed who are exhausted just trying to get into the playoffs.

And this is odd coming from Lebron James himself,

Quote
“It’s been urgency for me to get back ever since I got injured. So that’s just who I am,” he said. “You guys could have seen the logging of the minutes and hours per day that I was doing as far as rehab and treatment, it was a lot more than I slept. So over the last six weeks, that’s all I’ve been doing, is having an urgency to get back and play…. I knew I wasn’t going to get back to 100%. It’s impossible. I don’t think I will ever get back to 100% in my career.”

https://lebronwire.usatoday.com/2021/05/01/lebron-james-says-hell-never-get-back-to-100-percent-after-latest-injury/

What can you guys say about this? It seems that Lebron James has admitted that father time has catches up with him.

Looking at schedules, Mavs has the easiest among the 3 fighting for the 5th and 6th spot.

Problem of this easiest schedule is that Mavs play good against good tams. They have high % of wins against teams with 50% wining. And they lose against Huston and Sacramento and, ...  So that easiest seclude sort of turn into toughest schedule for Mavs. Lets hope this will not be the case anymore. And loss against weakest teams were just because of lack of motivation.
That's correct. But now they have their full roster healthy again.
They won with just 1 point with a strong Wizards today. Their lucky Beal didn't hit that three and Luka being wise throwing the ball after the rebound to avoid a foul.

Tomorrow it will be Kings again. We will see if they will make a difference now and avoid a 3 losing streak versus the Kings. (0-2) Yes, they never won against them yet. I'll put my bets for the Mavs tomorrow even if they'll make them as underdogs.

It is a difficult games for now in my opinion. Lebron and AD are just trying to get back to their groove. They are not 100% as of this time. And those teams have been playing solid, so yes it will be a difficult task for the Lakers, they might end up losing all of them if they didn't have the breaks at this regular season. They will be lucky on winning half of those games.

I don't think they have a problem with those teams, LeBron is already back, and in the last game he is not that explosive as usual but if you see his numbers its alright, and there will be no problem facing this list of teams, clippers will be the hard one, but I'm pretty sure they will have those games, Davis is already eager to play they may be not pushing their self during the last game to check their body if it's okay.

As a spurs fan I have to say it was horrible to watch that game. We won the first half with 32 points, that is one of the highest scoring difference in a half as well, and there has never been a team that lead as much and lost their game neither, we are the first one. However I have to say that we sucked on offense, I mean if you fail to score on your opponent and get complacent that means you do not pay attention to where you are or who you are playing.

You can lead a game with 30+ points but this is NBA, even though many fans think some players are bad, it is obvious that even the bench player that got 10 minutes all season is 1000x better than regular person. So you can't just stop defending or stop scoring, if you do this will be the result. This is how we lost, we just thought we are leading by 32 so things are easy and we let go off the gas and they showed us why we can't.

Pelicans also wanting a spot, they'll be playing against the Wolves today and they could have a good chance of winning here. As of now, Pelicans needs to start winning if they want to have a chance, they are just 3 wins behind the Warriors.

Yeah right, if they wanted to chase that spot they need to play harder and win each games that they've got, though Warriors also trying to position chasing the 8th spot.

They are just a win away from the  Grizzlies, if they continue winning they are also capable to take that spot, those remaining games for this teams are very important, expect to see more amazing game from their stars.

Playoffs is really nearing and each franchise are trying to get their spots.

They are not one win away from Grizzlies, here's their respective record.

Grizzlies 32 wins 30 loses.
Pelicans 28 wins 35 loses.

source: https://ph.global.nba.com/standings/

This means there chances are low but not impossible. Let's just see what they can do.

They need to win every game as the teams with higher standing than them will also do the same. If they can't win against the Wolves tonight, then I don't think we can still expect a win from them against tougher teams.

Mavericks will be more careful now knowing they need to ensure that they will belong in a rank that will not anymore play for the elimination. Mavericks had already won their last 2 games, so they are in a good momentum now and they could probably continue winning again knowing that Mavericks loves a winning streak.

Washington at Dallas, this is a big game,  Washington is also winning lately and they want to be part of the top 10, so let's expect a good matchup, but in the end, I think it will be Mavericks winning the game.
