By the way, he will become a free agent after the end of this season, and it would be cool if this performance affected the Mavs' decision to sign a new contract with him.

Mavs will have to choose between him or Josh Richardson. Or even pick totally new player on SG position. If Mavs keep both, then there is no chance to get another good player next season on forward or power forward position where are the weakest.

I guess Mavs should choose the one who is performing well during this season, and IMO, Hardaway Jr. is the better one and he should stay. If they want to save on the salary cap, they probably trade KP as he is a high-value player and they can get good players in exchange for him.

In my opinion yeah you can but the whe point of trading away multiple first round picks for him isn't to just trade him away which you aren't going to get great value back.  There is injury concern for KP and no one will give mays what they gave up for him.  Their best bet is to cross fingers and hope kristaps lives up to the hype at some point

Everyone cares about the standings way too much. Right now Suns have a chance to become number one in the west, do you really really believe that they are that good? I mean think about it, this is Suns we are talking about and even with CP3 on the team I do not think that they will go too much in the playoffs. This is why I think it is obvious that we should not care about standings.

You look at the east and Nets are number one and they might end up becoming champions, you look at west and you see Utah and they may end up not even be in conference finals, long story short never judge a season by the standings, but what people can do in playoffs. I still have a big feeling about Lakers, they will have Lebron back and with some more conditioning that team will become much much better, they will probably end up being in at least conference finals once again.
You cant blame up people on not to make out presumptions basing on the stats or numbers that they are currently seeing. Standings might be non relevant for some but this is where everybody been basing
You do actually have some point though that this isnt the entire basis for us to tell that top tier teams would really be dominating in the playoffs. The real game do start out in that part.
So expect that there's difference in terms of game plays which you havent seen in current season.

Anyone here surprised what Tim Hardaway Jr. did in their game against the Pistons.

Luka wasn't playing but they still manage to win with a good margin.
This guy (Hardaway Jr.) manages to score 42 points and probably that's his all-time high in the NBA.

I think he should be given more touches on the ball, probably he can contribute more to his team.
The guys really can score, at the same time he really is given a chance that he also can pour points not as good as Luka but can score, all he needs is playing time and a role since Luka is the star, he most often have the ball in his hands, that means less for other players of the team, now that is given a chance to lead the game, he shows what he is capable of doing.

Actually, his stats have declined with the Dallas Mavericks, but his contribution to the team is being noticed as Dallas Mavericks is a playoff team compared to the NYK team in the past which is a shitty team. We can verify that on his record _ https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hardati02.html
It was a great performance by Hardaway Jr., and he also was so close to beat his father's career-high record(45 points). By the way, he will become a free agent after the end of this season, and it would be cool if this performance affected the Mavs' decision to sign a new contract with him.

Last couple of games he has somewhat stepping up, against the Warriors, he was a key on how they stop Steph Curry, so defensively he still has it. But now it's different, he take the game over from Luka and yeah probably that is his all time career in the NBA.

To be honest, I was on the Detroit side, bet on them live with odds @3.x or something because I think that they can outlast Dallas. However, Hardaway Jr was on fire.

I already love this guy even when he was still playing with the NYK, he is really good addition to the Dallas Mavericks, he is versatile and he is a real team player. Mavericks winning without Luka is good, it shows their chemistry is good and that would make them successful. By the way, KP is back, that's good.

Big win for the Nuggets. Michael Porter Jr., Green, and Millsap. dominated the 4th quarter with 25-8 run until the recycling team ruined it at the last minutes of the game ending with just a 10 point lead.
Nikola Jokic had some good rest thanks to them.
Last game the Nuggets wasn't able to cover the spread, but this time they make it sure that they are going to win in a dominating fashion. Good for those who bet on the Nuggets. West top 4 teams are bringing their A-game.
I did bet for them and I maxed it at -5.5.  Wink
This maybe a strategy for Coach Mike Malone. They are trying to gain the higher seed to avoid a first round match with the Lakers where Lebron could be back anytime.
If they gain the 3rd or the 2nd seed then it may become a little easier for them to go against a hurt KP of Dallas Mavericks or any team who will win the 7th and 8th seed of the play-in tournament.
Could be one reason why they want to win every game they could while also preserving their star Jokic and avoiding fatigue.
2nd team of the Nuggets is doing great. Their defense is hardcore especially Facundo Campazzo.

Congrats! and I agree with you, Nuggets are really trying to position in much comfortable place,
Lakers are very strong once LeBron start to playback.

His rest is quietly intriguing knowing that they are now outside a comfort zone, they need to play against top seeded team. But with LeBron's healthy condition, whoever team to compete with, the chance still high for Lakers to dominate.

And with that, Coach Malone is smart enough to avoid meeting them in the first round, Just saying  Wink

Let us finish the regular season to know the real standing, there's still plenty of games left, the Nuggets has a chance to be in the number 1 spot but they also have a chance to meet the Lakers in the first round of the playoffs, it's very crucial, they need to make a smart move here and the safest way is to win the remaining games in this season.

Facundo Campazzo has been a big help for the Nugget's success this season, this guy is short only 5'11 I guess but his talent is well showcased with his team. it looks like they are not feeling the loss of Murray, they are still strong as usual, good job for the Nuggets in this game.

Bad loss for the Warriors. They badly need the win to put a higher gap with the Pelicans for the 10th spot.
That's because there are still 10 more games and if they keep on losing the Pelicans will be going near them to snatch that spot for the play-in tournament.
They have a good schedule ahead. 3 road games 1 with Rockets 2 with Pelicans then 6 home games which should be won in perfection especially the games against the Thunders.
Yeah, I thought that they can cover the spread against the Pelicans, but the Pels blew them out early and the Warriors wasn't able to catch them.

For now, we have four teams that guaranteed qualifying for the playoffs (1/8-finals). These are Jazz, Suns, Nets and 76ers. They have been great for a very long lime. And I can't wait to see the playoff games as there is a little time left for the regular season to end.

Great news for the Suns. It’s been over 10 years since they’ve seen the postseason. I’m happy for Devin Booker who was looking like he may never see a playoff game. Adding CP3 to the lineup has made such a huge difference. What a great move by Suns management. Some might have been expecting a buyout, but CP3 proved worth the investment.
The addition of CP3 in the roster really made a huge difference in the team Smiley.
As the most surprising team (for me), I'm happy for the Suns to finally reach the playoffs after a decade. I still remember this team being in the last position for some years and now they just added a player who can be a huge contributor in the team in CP3. He unleashed the hidden potentials of Booker and Ayton and other players. Some calls him "Point God" and I agree with that because of his impact on the team.
It's been a while since D Antoni's days when every year they are in the playoffs, your right Chris paul make the difference, Booker is a scorer with paul in the driver seat, they have now focus on their role because there is someone now that can pass score and give them the best spot to score, because as we know Paul is one of the elite point guards in the league, suns can go further as long as paul is healthy.

Kevin Durant having a big game against the Pacers with 42 points.

He carried the team on this backs, there where times that the Pacers will come back and close the gap, but Durant hitting big and putting the dagger. They won without Irving and Harden. Winning 4 right now and keeping their lead on the East against the Sixers.
How about Alize Johnson, 20 points and 21 rebounds.

And after Timberwolves beats Utah the last time, now it's time for Golden State to fall. Rubio has a big game with 26 points. Steph with his usual 37 points but not enough to get them a win.

Bucks also lost to the Rockets, lots of upsets before the end of the regular season.
