Looking at schedules, Mavs has the easiest among the 3 fighting for the 5th and 6th spot.

Problem of this easiest schedule is that Mavs play good against good tams. They have high % of wins against teams with 50% wining. And they lose against Huston and Sacramento and, ...  So that easiest seclude sort of turn into toughest schedule for Mavs. Lets hope this will not be the case anymore. And loss against weakest teams were just because of lack of motivation.

Mavericks will be more careful now knowing they need to ensure that they will belong in a rank that will not anymore play for the elimination. Mavericks had already won their last 2 games, so they are in a good momentum now and they could probably continue winning again knowing that Mavericks loves a winning streak.

Washington at Dallas, this is a big game,  Washington is also winning lately and they want to be part of the top 10, so let's expect a good matchup, but in the end, I think it will be Mavericks winning the game.

In the match which Durant and Harden both were absent, Nets were defeated by Trail Blazers 128-109 away. Irving's 28-point effort wasn't enough for a win. Nets already guaranteed the 1/8 finals. But this was a critical win for Trail Blazers as they still have a big chance to qualify for 1/8 finals.
Nets is the underdog against the Trailblazers, the line open up at -6.5 and I'm sure many gamblers took the odds because that's already attractive and Portland covered it with more spare. And it's Irving vs CJ and Dame Time so obviously Portland really take care of it and this is a must win situation for them.

A must win for the Blazers, Kyrie alone is not enough  the help from Green and Griffin ain't enough to compete with Lilard leads Blazer.

Blazers squad blends well as they really rotate well and shared the ball, Stars and role players take their job accordingly. Great to see them playing as a team you'll see the players inside the court really jiving.

They are aiming to be at least in the top 6. Nice win by the Blazers as they now slowly back on the winning track, as of now, they have 3 win streak already, and their standing I slowly rising, currently ranked at number 7 but with close competition on Dalllas and Lakers which are top 5 and 6.

Well covered handicap, sorry lost for those handicappers who follow New Jersey Nets.

handicap covered easily, 1st half was a bit close but in the 2nd half, Blazers had already dominated the game.

Yes they do. Let's take a look at the Western Conference standing.

Mavs has a game tomorrow against the Wizards and there is a high chance they may lose it if they don't work hard.
Wizards badly need that win too. Kristaps Porzingis and Josh Richardson are back for the Mavs but the Wizards had won 11 of their 13 games.
I think this will be a close game with a little spread difference.
Lakers are also on the edge to be pushed to 7th position which is not a good thing when AD and Lebron just came back. They will need that rest before the playoffs to fully heal and have their A game.

Looking at schedules, Mavs has the easiest among the 3 fighting for the 5th and 6th spot.

It looks like I spoke too soon on the Lakers game. They looked terrible down the stretch. They were outscored 32 to 18 in the fourth quarter and seemed to run out of gas at the end. LeBron stepped it up at the end of the game to get some points on the board but the entire team seemed like they lost interest in the 4th. Hopefully a few more games together will get them back on the same page late in games.

They are good till the 4th quarter, they really look terrible as they can't score points while Sacramento took advantage of it. But this is just the beginning for Lebron, give him a couple of games (might be late though for this regular season), but starting playoffs it might be a different Lakers.

But they are going to contend with the top seeds in the West, so it will be interesting how Lebron will fair himself against those teams, it will be an interesting match.

They won defensively but cannot find their offensive power.
Yeah, they might need to work it out to put the chemistry back. It's good to see Lebron James that healthy though with 32 minutes already and he just got back.
If I am a Lakers fan, I would be ecstatic about it even with the loss against the Kings.
Hope is back and the fear of being pulled down to the lower seeds is fading.

Next game Raptors, I doubt they will let this one slide.

Anyone seen the massive comeback by the Boston Celtics?

They are down 30 points but they slowly eat out that big lead force an OT and beat the San Antonio Spurs by 3 points.

Lebron James is back, but of course with limited minutes, so far he scored 1 point in 7 minutes. But they are down 13 points in the first quarter. Let's see if he will still play in the 2nd quarter, this might be a good morale booster for the team. Still early, lots of things can happen in the game.

Down the stretch it’s looking good for the Lakers but LeBron definitely isn’t back to his old self yet. He isn’t being utilized as much as normal. AD is looking pretty good though. His best game since coming back in my opinion. They’re up 3 as I write this and with 5 minutes left they look like they’re gonna squeeze out a win. I’m glad LeBron is back on the court. Gotta enjoy every game we get from him at this point.
Jason Tatum is really the star of the team, he carries the load down the stretch but his teammates fail to make an open shot, that would take the win against the lakers, Lebron James certainly making sure he's safe, surely he doesn't want to miss the playoffs, but decent scoring 20 plus points and 7 assist 7 rebounds, even though that's not 100 percent LeBron, this team is really scary.

Congrats! and I agree with you, Nuggets are really trying to position in much comfortable place,
Lakers are very strong once LeBron start to playback.
Thanks bro.
And... Lebron is back.  Wink
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/31366950/lebron-james-returns-ankle-sprain-friday-vs-sacramento-kings
Now they need to win every game they could possibly get. With AD, James, Schroder, and Drummond I guess that will be an easy tasks.
Wishing for a healthy season starting today so that we'll be entertained more.
Their schedule after Kings and Raptors will be rough. Nuggets, Clippers, Blazers, Suns and then the young amazing Knicks.
Lebron will be forced to put more minutes if the other players can't handle them.

Anyone here surprised what Tim Hardaway Jr. did in their game against the Pistons.

Luka wasn't playing but they still manage to win with a good margin.
This guy (Hardaway Jr.) manages to score 42 points and probably that's his all-time high in the NBA.

I think he should be given more touches on the ball, probably he can contribute more to his team.
The guys really can score, at the same time he really is given a chance that he also can pour points not as good as Luka but can score, all he needs is playing time and a role since Luka is the star, he most often have the ball in his hands, that means less for other players of the team, now that is given a chance to lead the game, he shows what he is capable of doing.

Actually, his stats have declined with the Dallas Mavericks, but his contribution to the team is being noticed as Dallas Mavericks is a playoff team compared to the NYK team in the past which is a shitty team. We can verify that on his record _ https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hardati02.html
It was a great performance by Hardaway Jr., and he also was so close to beat his father's career-high record(45 points). By the way, he will become a free agent after the end of this season, and it would be cool if this performance affected the Mavs' decision to sign a new contract with him.

He needs to be consistent though if he wanted the Mavs to keep him for next season.

I think he has the tools to be good, not as great as his father, but with enough motivation and perseverance, the Mavs might value him more and could potentially give him a good offer if he remains consistent up to their playoff runs. He is a total compliment for Luka's passes, he just need to drain and make those shots.

Tim Jr. right there was shooting the lights out, that's a classic case for a spot up shooter who can create his own shot and is on fire.
He pretty has a good playing time and averages 16 ppg. I guess he have enough touches on the ball and contributing so well. He just had to step up on this game without their best player in the line up against the Pistons.
He's on fire and he's feeling the moment that he needs to step up for his team, and that's the result 42 points from a 13-23 fgm and 6-10 from the 3pt line.

The management knows how valuable he is in the team, and he is healthy so they will not trade him. This might probably the best playoffs of the Mavericks as they have learned already from their first experience, now, Luka is better and they have better chemistry now. I'm betting on the Mavericks to upset the LA teams in the playoffs, whatever round they'll face each other.

Mavs will have to choose between him or Josh Richardson. Or even pick totally new player on SG position. If Mavs keep both, then there is no chance to get another good player next season on forward or power forward position where are the weakest.

I guess Mavs should choose the one who is performing well during this season, and IMO, Hardaway Jr. is the better one and he should stay. If they want to save on the salary cap, they probably trade KP as he is a high-value player and they can get good players in exchange for him.

In my opinion yeah you can but the whe point of trading away multiple first round picks for him isn't to just trade him away which you aren't going to get great value back.  There is injury concern for KP and no one will give mays what they gave up for him.  Their best bet is to cross fingers and hope kristaps lives up to the hype at some point

Mavericks is capable of winning the regular season and be in the playoffs, but in the playoffs, it's a different game, they need KP, so the most important is to keep KP healthy to keep the Mavericks' chance of winning and be in the NBA Finals if lucky enough. We've seen how good they are during the Clippers' series last playoffs, but when KP was out, that's where the problem happened.
