"Sources: Detroit Pistons trade Derrick Rose to New York Knicks in deal that reunites former MVP with Tom Thibodeau"
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/30855113/sources-detroit-pistons-trade-derrick-rose-new-york-knicks-deal-reunites-former-mvp-tom-thibodeau

Derrick Rose back with the Knicks, he and Thibs will be working together after Chicago, Minnesota and now in NY.

Interesting to see how this trade plays out for both the team and Rose, Knicks definitely have a shot at the playoffs in the East, currently holding the 8th spot.

Plenty of guards at Thibs disposal, i just hope Quickley doesn't get his minutes reduced as he has shown promising things thus far, Knick fans can attest to that.

Oh, Dennis Smith Jr goes to the Pistons, part of the trade.

That's automatic, Embiid is even a good MVP candidate this season, so no reason he would not pick in the All star, he maybe will not get the starting role but he will surely get a reserve spot. I love to see the All star this month, hopefully there's no problem that will result for all star break not to be realize.
It looks like that Joel Embiid has a good chance to play in starting lineup of the upcoming all-star game because he is taking the third position by a number of votes in the Eastern Conference at the current moment.

I'm wondering what site you are following to see the updated standing?

I search some info and found this site where Embiid was listed at the number 3 ranking in Eastern Conference frontcourt

I am quite happy that my team Spurs is finally playing like a team again, last season was just a growing pain years and I get that, it happens to any team, after 22 years of playoff streak it was bound to happen eventually, I wasn't really imagining spurs making playoffs 50+ more years in the future, I was hoping it would have been after Pop retires so he never has to deal with a rebuilding team but he consistently said watching younger players grow up to be great man was something he enjoys and gives him love of the game back instead of having that constant pressure of winning.

We needed just one year and now this year we are once again good, all of our young players are playing their roles very well, if you look at the youngs of the roster there is no challenge between them they are all good locker room friends and we have great two leaders on the court with Derozan and LMA but also great two veterans who help them with Patty and Rudy as well.

Who also notice the great D team Piston put out last night with no Blake and Rose... They got good youngsters but the Lakers are a great team full of experience players too.

I'm more interested in seeing those guys from Detroit build their franchise now.
Yeah, they really gave the Lakers team a difficult time to win it.
Actually, they almost won the game but Lebron was just too good even with an exhausted body.

Still, the Mavs is in the 14th spot. They will need more wins in their next matches.

Yes it looks very bad. Also their game is nothing like it was at start of season. They were 2nd in defence ratings before covid strike. If they will not improve defence even easier schedule in next weeks will not help them. Bright side is that thy are only 4 wins away from 4th spot. So with 2/3 of season left playoff is easily doable. But only if they improve very fast.
That one big point into why the Mavs is a mess now.
Positive Covid-19 players that took time before they can come back to the rotation.
They are revived now when we consider how they put an offensive show against GSW.

I thought the injury was serious.

Joel Embiid Nasty Knee Injury After Collision With Enes Kanter

Good thing he was able to come back and play, unfortunately they loss by a huge margin against the Lillard less Portland TrailBlazers.

What a disappointment.

Indeed! Joel Embiid is doing an amazing season, he could be considered as one of the best centers this year (with Nicola Jokic) so I was also scared when he had the Knee incident last match versus Portland but he was strong enough to move forward!!! Let's see if he is picked for the next NBA All Star Game!

What a great display of offensive barrage from both teams Mavs and Warriors.
Curry 11/19 at 3 point line and Luka 7/12.
Kleber though is the one who puts the dagger to give Dallas another win with his last-second 3 point shot.

Funny thing is, I bet for other teams but yet I enjoyed watching them more than what I bet for.  Grin

At least they did not lose in this game, they bounce back from a big loss in the previous game, so this team for me has improve and have a chance to be in the playoffs. Luka and Curry are always spectacular, it's fun to watch these two playing against each other.

It was a close game, this is the kind of game we want to see from Dallas Mavericks, they are sharing the ball well and they know how to win close games. Oubre Jr. also did not explode again, so good job by them for limiting him, and it resulted  a win, big win to be exact.

It seems like the Lakers have a tough time beating the Detroit Pistons. The Lakers lost their first game and the second one is so close that it went to a double OT. I haven't watched the whole game, but judging how the Lakers struggle to this young team makes me think about the Pistons have a chance to become a stronger team. Jerami Grant will lead this team, and I personally think him (Grant) moving out of Denver is somehow a good move for him to increase his player value.

A good game between these two teams anyway.

30 points for Stephen Curry in the first half on 7 of 10 shooting from three point range. Dude is lighting it up right now! This could turn into something special if he can keep it up. Nice to see he’s back to having MVP nights. I missed seeing this kind of shooting last year.

He's still on fire adding 13 points now almost end of  third quarter.

Playing healthy and enjoying, glad to see him to this MVP mode again if only Klay is there to help him up this team might be in good
position, though they are keep on competiting it's far from what they've should be if one of the splash bro is there to help him to lift them up. Enjoy watching Dub Nation.

It fine to just reach the playoffs as they did reach the playoffs already last season, so if we are looking for some big improvement this season, it should be at least reach the ECF or the NBA Finals. Nets are next to the Lakers as the favorites to win a championship this season, that's how people expect them to achieve.

That's how it should be from the views of the many. 3 well-experienced superstars, the most active in rebuilding this season, people are expecting something big.

Nets seriously do all ways to make that happen. This season should be their championship season. I doubt we will still see the same lineup next season.
for me 2 superstars must submit to the one in the team to co-exist, Kyrie wants to be the leader of the team we see what he did to the Cavs, and what he did like making statements that he wants others to feel that he got always says on everything, this is one of the attitudes that will destroy a superteam, kyrie maybe a superstar but we can see clearly that he can't lead alone, he always need another to accomplish, the task, I like kyrie but he should mature like LeBron.

Kevin Durant will probably miss multiple games for Brooklyn Nets for contact tracing protocols because he was in contact with someone whop tested positive for covid.
Big blow for Nets, they and they are also missing few other players and now they play with Philadelphia 76ers

Durant might be out for a while but with their standing now, I think they can still get into the playoffs even with Harden and Irving only leading the team.
With this crucial situation we are, every protocol should be followed and NBA has to be strict in implementing it so this season will be a success.
Interestingly Durant did tested negative as far as we know, and we know he also had Coronavirus when it first started so he should be fine himself but the fear was that he might had been in contact with someone who had corona, but that person didn't even get their results back just yet. So, basically it wasn't even about Durant being with someone who had coronavirus, it was about Durant being with someone who "might" had coronavirus.

I am all fine with extreme measures honestly, if everyone sees what is going on and extreme measures are taken about these things, players could probably act a bit better about it and not take any risks. Durant is a marvelous player but they still have a lot of other great players with Irving and Harden, I am sure if you put those two together they can still get wins, but at the end of the day as long as they make it to playoffs healthy, they are going to be fine.

Just waiting for the game of Magic and Bulls. It will surely be a good game since both of these teams are now playing a good performance and we cannot decide who will win even if we have a 60-52 standing in the side of chicago because 8 win is not much when it comes to probability of betgame. Also on the game between these two from 18-19 season, 19-20 season and 20-21 season orlando managed to defeat chicaco bulls for 4 consecutive games. Orlando magic is really getting stronger maybe because Cole Anthony comes to this team for the first round pick of season 2020. Chicago is still playing with their old players even if they got two new players maybe because these two new player, which is Williams and Simonovic, is still young and not too experienced.
