Jared Dudley’s new book had some controversial comments about Clippers guard Paul George. Basically he said Kawhi had a right to talk cocky about being the team to beat because he’s a defending champion, but Paul George doesn’t have any right to talk big because he’s never won anything. PG13 has been having a great year, but without a championship soon he’s dangerously close to entering the club of HOF-type players without a ring.
I would have to agree with Dudley's comments though, Kawhi though is not a trash talker or seems to be the quiet so we don't expect him to talk cocky. I wouldn't say that PG is cocky though, it's borderline, sometimes he says thing that is unusual. I remember him saying that Lillard take a bad shot against him in their elimination match, but Lillard hit that 3 shot to end the game and sent them packing. Perhaps he can't really take losing lightly like that.

Do you have the website where you get the summary of these stats? It will be helpful if you can share the link here. I'm interested in checking each game's stats but can't find it on the web, I only see the whole stats of players for the whole season. I want to check the per game. Thanks!

A simple summary of game stats (boxscore) can be seen at most of the sites posting the results after a game.

But if you want a much detailed and deeper one, I always follow these sites even before the creation of this thread. Cheesy

lamelo now has the upper hand to become ROY but if he can't play consistently, he will be at the 2 or 3 spots, Charlotte is making a good run, this year young core and veterans are clicking, they might make it to the playoffs, another gem for charlotte I hope they can keep him, and put good players around him, his passing is one of his best weapons, and with Hayward getting back to old self this is the year for the charlotte, but surely they can't make it to the finals.

I see that too, Hayward is really creating for himself. He's now back on his feet.

Hopefully he won't get another serious injury to continue this chased of winning and pushing this young team to the playoffs, they are
building good checmitry along together, with Ball bringing the ball and passing so great, this team might get some attentions, I agree , the management should add more good role players to support Hayward and Ball.

''Report: NBA, NBPA 'Progressing Toward' All-Star Game, Skills Events for March 7''
source: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2929378-report-nba-nbpa-progressing-toward-all-star-game-skills-events-for-march-7

Quote
The NBA and NBPA are reportedly "progressing toward" agreeing to hold the 2020-21 NBA All-Star Game on March 7.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the game would be played at State Farm Arena in Atlanta and feature the traditional Eastern Conference vs. Western Conference format.

What are your thoughts on the NBA having an All-Star game this year?

The 2021 All-Star game was originally set to be played in Indianapolis but it was then canceled due to the pandemic.
The last couple of weeks there have been discussions between the NBA and NBPA to bring back the ASG in a shortened format, one day off sorta thing, the 3pt competition, dunk contest, and the ASG played all in one day.

Would you enjoy watching the ASG with no fans in the stands? The dunk contest held in an empty arena would be the most offputting thing ever. The NBA risks having all top players in one place, just so they can push ads on tv for 5 hours. Idk, i'd rather have players take full advantage of their mid-March break and skip this event altogether. The ASG has always been about the fans...

edit;

and it's confirmed:

Well, I have been following LaMelo Ball's performance for a while now, and I realized that he is managing to maintain consistency in his acting.
Do you think he's one of the favorites to win the rookie of the year award?

Are there other players?

I think he stood out among the rest, it's a unanimous win for him this season if he continues to be consistent, Lamelo is just a rookie but the team already trusted him so much, that simply says he will be the future star of the team.

according to the betting odds, https://www.sportsbettingdime.com/nba/rookie-of-the-year-odds/

Lamelo is the favorites with -125, so he has not failed our expectation.
I definitely agree that Lamelo has a chance to win the rookie of the year, however he has something that other players do not have, which is a star on his position at his team. James wiseman doesn't get that much minutes neither, he gets 21 minutes, Anthony Edwards gets 26 minutes which a rookie can hope to get, whereas Lamelo gets 25 minutes on a team that has Terry Rozier as starter and suddenly dude is getting minutes even from him. That is why I think Lamelo definitley deserves ROTY award if he gets it, but I wouldn't be shocked if he doesn't get it neither.

I believe this dude is definitely on a path that would allow him to be a great player in the future, he definitely needs to figure out how to shoot a lot better, he chucked up 40 foothers when he was 14 years old or so but this is NBA and you need better mechanics. If Blake Griffin can become a good shooter so can anyone, I feel like Lamelo needs to work out with Blakes shooting coach. That would make him elite level.

I think it will come down to lamelo, Edward's and quickley.  Quickly was getting less than 15-20 minutes a game.  Last couple games he has emerged and recently got 30 minutes.  He was averaging 12 points a game while not even playing 20 mins.  And he is shooting 94% from the line so you know end of games he will be out there especially while they are winning.  I need to check out his current odds and lay a bet on him...have to say for 25th pick in the draft cbs sports had it rated as a D+ for the pick.  Goes to show "grades" really amount to almost zero

I think it will come down to LaMelo and Wiseman.  Edwards has had a good year but I'm just not too impressed with him for whatever reason, while I think Wiseman makes a great fit in Golden State and seems to be getting better quickly.  Same with LaMelo...  I'm not sure Edwards fits in as good so long as KAT is around.

On a side note, I'm surprised that KAT, Booker, & DLo haven't managed to get on the same team yet.  When I saw DLo go to the Timberwolves I thought for sure that Booker would follow soon after, considering they have publicly stated their goal is to play together in the past.

Edwards has a good chance but see him a little as a chucker right now and on a poor team his efficiency might suffer.  Wiseman has a sneaky chance to get really good as the season progresses.  I like lamelo and think name wise he has an up on everyone.  I just see a percent opportunity for IQ to take over and get 30+ minutes, I mean Elkridge Payton isn't exactly holding down any spot.  If he can get 24l5-30 mins a game i can see him averaging 14/3/3 a game.  Im a homer thlugh so meh lol

We should not doubt the Nets now, they beat the Clippers so they are now a legit super team and probably have adjusted already. Great work by the coaching staff as well, we can see the development of the team already and it's very exciting to see them in the playoffs and see what they can do.
Let's not open the champagne bottle just yet, there is a lot of work ahead of them, one win against Clippers doesn't mean that they will cruise through the league for the rest of the season. I do agree that they looked better, with players slowly adjusting to their roles but they should start figuring defense too. Relying to score 120+ every night in order to win might work during regular season but playoffs will be a  different story. Bench remains issue too, last night they scored only 14 pts combined, albeit with very low usage.

That's right, playoffs is about game adjustment and if a best of 7 series, it cannot be possible that a certain team will just continue to score their usual, even the Warriors before when they were the champ, they also had games where they did not reach at least 100 points but still they win, that's because they don't only rely on their good offense but their good defense as well.

Utah being on 🔥... Squad's so competitive
They almost managed to blow huge lead but Bogey sorted that out with two consecutive 3s. Important win to get back on track, next few games shouldn't be too hard either.

The battle of superstars. Both sides performed so well.

It's just the last few seconds that changed the tempo of the game, Nets create space and snatched the game away from Clippers
It's really a close encounter Irving once again makes it move to the basket and forcely gives the lift winning this game for the Nets.
Home game win defending it for  the fans.

This was the reason why we didn't see James Harden in this game.

Nets' James Harden (thigh contusion) out vs. Wizards

He will be back soon, don't worry we will see the big 3 playing together again, but their defense is the worse to be honest.
I hope that he recovers fastly.

Is he going to play tomorrow against the Clippers? This is hell of a match and we'll see a match between two good teams.

Hard to decide where I'll be if Nets is complete tomorrow.

They need to play the game tomorrow as an all-out team because it might be a preview of the NBA finals. If they can play well with Houston Rockets tomorrow then we will have another great battle in the NBA finals if those two teams will face each other in the Finals. However, they need to make sure they won't choke like the last time especially that Clippers when they faced the Nuggets last season.
I like the idea of the preview about the finals. Why you aren't seeing Lakers on it?  Tongue

But anyway, Nets have won against Clippers. It is a high score game and there's no OT.

I honestly doubt that when you look at their schedule. In the next 10 games they will play 2x vs Clippers, 76s, Bucks, Celtics and Pacers. Don't
Yeah, maybe 5-6 streaks with their schedule now then adding the pressure of being on top could change the pace of the game.

The Brooklyn Hydra  Grin won it again with an intense game against the Clippers.
With their new rebounder named James Harden.  Grin
That long pass he did to Green was something else. Who would attempt to make an act like that?
If the receiver didn't catch it or stolen he will sure be disciplined by Coach Nash.

That was a high IQ decision by James Harden and of course, you can only do that when you are currently leading the score. That was risky but they manage to get the win from one of the competitive teams in the league now we have some idea if those two teams will meet in the final, what kind of games we will see. If they cannot do it right earlier then they need some major adjustment to their play but Steve Nash was able to figure it out and expectedly they won the game.

Lol, they really stood up here, their small ball really work. I wonder if they can sustain that, Harden again had some great game with a triple double night, and also, Irving is spectacular with 6-8 shooting in 3 points.
