Does anybody have some thoughts if the current Lakers roster will undergo trades or on when LeBron might retire? What teams do you think would rise to the occasion to complete their line-ups?
Golden State Warriors is the team that everyone will look in for the next season.

Just as they say, they will "come back stronger". Actually, it could be any other team where these champs would probably be traded. No team is weak for me but only underrated.

I think most teams are going to be interested next season.

I hope.
That means more action in the West.  Grin

1st Quarter
First field goal coming from Kevon Looney with a three point shot.
A good sign for the Warriors? They are cooking something out there.

We will see.

But they are not the only team that we should wait and consider. There will be too many actions that awaits for us, the fans. It's where the most talks will go but when some updates comes from another team.

We'll go there and discuss, just after the finals, we're all excited.

And it seems it did good to GSW, they got burned out with those championship, so it's a total reset and I'm sure they will come back strong next season, they still have the core and that is good enough.

So let's see what GSW is cooking, specially that the championships goes back to the West and now seeing Lakers and Lebron and AD as a new threat to West supremacy, (used to be Harden's Rockets), but the goal shifted already. And not just Lakers but there are a lot of strong West team now since their departure. So they will come back strong and reclaim their old glory.

Plus Mavs are really not in a position that they could sign Giannis, dude would have to leave a lot of money at the table if he leaves Bucks, he reeeeeealllly has to want a championship if he does this,

That is Giannis would really want a championship, but most likely a player would choose a max salary than to achieve a championship, and though Giannis had already said that he will stay, still there's a little possibility that he will not re sign with his current team.

Quote
it would be a total KD move.
AD and Lebron I guess, Lebron was first actually.

Rondo is not leaving anywhere, dude is staying in Lakers, he is not signing with Lakers now because when he gets to be a free agent he will get to resign with Lakers for a lot more money, that is allowed for Lakers CBA situation and also more money for Rondo is like a "thanks" from Lakers as well. Same thing is going on with AD as well and people are not really considering AD leaving at all, they all know and realize that AD will be basically resigning with Lakers easily. That is why it is quite important to realize Rondo is doing the same thing and there isn o news there.

I think that the best time wherein Houston could have stop GSW on it's track and probably this two will have a great rivalry in the West, however, the next season when CP3 was healthy, it was totally different Houston that we have seen, but that version of Houston could be the closest, on how CP3 was playing and James Harden game, lots of 'what if'.

It was really great, it tells us how valuable CP3 than Westbrook, they bring the game in game 7 and Rockets has a great chance of winning if CP3 was not injured that time, they tried twice actually before CP3 was traded fro Westbrook but still failed, I think we can understand that as GSW was really a super team, if Without Durant, Rockets chance was higher.

Good analysis, you guys.  Grin
No questions, I'd also pick CP3 over Westbrook.
Not about the stats, but about how to make it a real team.
CP3 is not about making a point, it's about the play. That is also why I picked him as one of the greatest pointguards in NBA.
But putting 2 MVP's who likes making points will clash. It did happen.

I don't know what made Daryl decide to take WB rather than giving CP3 a chance. Harden maybe behind that decision too. (I am just assuming.)
CP3 asked him about that and he said no. I doubt he will say yes.  Grin

I'm still recovering on the fact that Laker's came onto the season highly un-favored but they really finished strong with this playoffs. Rondo and Howard proved themselves that they deserve a ring. Only man who was ring worthy that has not yet won a championship is Derrick Rose (imo). That ACL injury really messed him up.

Rondo is a gem, he is a great PG, probably a hall of famer in the future, so I hope he will be able to play at a good team that has a chance to qualify in the playoffs. What about playing along with Giannis, is it possible?
Everything is possible but chemistry should be the focal point and I think they may not be the best duo I can think of. I really like the Giannis-Doncic-Porzingis rumor trio and it's exciting to watch if this could be pursue in reality, just time will tell.

You are really pushing this trio huh... This could be a great TRIO and a championship potential.
Imagine, Luka a triple double guy, Giannis (double double), and Porzingis a double double guy, all the points will be earn by this 3 players.

How do you rate its possibility?

We love to make our own speculation, but this is what Giannis said after their loss against the Heat last season.

https://www.foxsports.com.au/basketball/nba/nba-2020-free-agency-trades-giannis-antetokounmpo-dallas-mavericks-milwaukee-bucks/news-story/c5b0a9858c66e9c11778d5cc266e3fb1
Quote
Giannis has spoken in the past about his desire to remain at Milwaukee and the Bucks have already started moving towards convincing him to stay.

“It’s not happening. That’s not happening,” he told Yahoo Sports after their season-ending loss to the Heat.

“Some see a wall and go in [another direction]. I plow through it. We just have to get better as a team, individually and get right back at it next season.”

His statement was quite clear, he would remain in his team, wants to be a better team next season.

2020 NBA season is here again, the way the match is going now, show all those old team will still win this match in this season. Clippers are still maintaining the game not to allow them loose the match.
I think this the right time for the coach to make a good change of the players to make sure them maintain the leading till the end of the match.
Yeah, I've seen that movie where there's a lot of NBA actors in there. Was it "Back to the Future" eh? LOL that was dope.

What's the legacy of Daryl Morey's Houston Rockets?

It's a good read.
Like the whole life story of Daryl Morey with the Houston Rockets.
Decision making. Obtaining Harden, CP3, and Westbrook.
Almost reaching the championship but fell short because of CP3 injury back then against GSW.
IMO, there's a large possibility they could've won it if CP3 was healthy.

And more.

What you are saying mate?

The bubble season was done.

Lakers already took the trophy and the Clippers didn't make it to the finals. What's with the need to lead at the end of the match if the season's done?

LOL! he must be living in the past, or he has a time machine,.. haha.. Bubble is over, we go to the next season where Lakers won't be champ anymore.

BOOK THAT!
This is the 2nd encounter that I've seen which I think they don't really watch the end of NBA's bubble.

This is a great fight even though we all know that the Lakers has a high chance of winning we didn't expected that the Miami Heat will be able to reach game 6 which is still pretty amazing even though they lose the playoffs still a huge compliment to their team and also for Jimmy Butler.
What are you saying?

Miami lost the playoffs?

Miami and Lakers just ended the finals yesterday. Lakers won.

I have missed this rumor.
If Giannis will be going to Heat then who's the one that he'll be replacing?
This rumor sounds implausible because Giannis and Jimmy play in the same position. After the great performance by Butler in the Final series, I think that the Miami Heat won't restrict his activity on the court in the next season.
Roster changes are always surprising. Possible or not, we'll never know.

I have seen this already way before I see the rumors of him going to the Mavericks in 2021.

This is just my personal opinion but I think if this Giannis to Heat will happen, this might be almost the same as the PG13 going to Clippers scenario where the Clippers gave so much on their team and draft picks.
Another thing that might happen is that they might trade either one of Bam or Jimmy and some of their point guards that on that time better already like Herro, Robinson etc. They will go all-in into this if this will happen.

Its too early to predict right now since we will wait for another year before he will decide if he will stay or leave.
Trading Butler, it is what I think won't happen. Heat won't release him. He's one of the team's caliber but like what I've said, we'll never know when roster changes happens, they're full of surprises.

Buck have already offered Giannis a maximum salary, but not sure if he can get good role players than the current teammates, I guess the problem of Bucks is the coaching.

That's the problem with Bucks. They all did was to offer him a max salary.

If Giannis wants to make money, I'm sure he will stick to the team. But if some team can match the salary while at the same time, he will have good teammates on the transferred team, I'm sure he won't hesitate to accept it.

Giannis wants to fully use his prime and the championship should be achieved as early as possible.
If a team wants to get Giannis, they'll attach him with good supporting players and they have to buy out the contract of Giannis.

There might be teams that want to take him to their teams and would be willing to buy out his contract from Bucks but, it's also up to him.

I've been scrolling in Facebook today and I've seen this post about Giannis.

It is said to be a rumour about Giannis that might sign to Miami Heat. It is been a talk in the past here in the forum and after the playoffs, when Miami eliminated Bucks, he said that he will be staying. But then again, this rumour is alive again. I don't want this to happen and what I don't like more is that they are comparing him to KD, KD taking the heat while AD is safe? What are take on this?
I have missed this rumor.

If Giannis will be going to Heat then who's the one that he'll be replacing? but I'm seeing that Giannis will be choosing to stay with Bucks.

It's his home and I think he'd love to bring it on the finals, with the same banner.
I have seen this already way before I see the rumors of him going to the Mavericks in 2021.
