This is a great fight even though we all know that the Lakers has a high chance of winning we didn't expected that the Miami Heat will be able to reach game 6 which is still pretty amazing even though they lose the playoffs still a huge compliment to their team and also for Jimmy Butler.
What are you saying?

Miami lost the playoffs?

Miami and Lakers just ended the finals yesterday. Lakers won.

First of all, I like to congratulate the NBA organization for organizing the bubble setup properly. Without the efforts of the whole organization, we won't see a successful resume of the season. Their setup also inspires other basketball leagues in different countries. Although the overall ratings are not that good, we all know that it's because of an "obvious reason".

For those saying that the Los Angeles Lakers have an easy path to win a championship this season, that was a big slap for those teams who aggressively fight for their respective spot during the elimination to playoffs. We saw big efforts, perseverance, and positivity on every team.

Congrats Los Angeles Lakers
Congrats Miami Heat (which I think will be one of the deadly team in the East next season if they able to maintain and improve their roster)
Congrats NBA
Congrats Bettors

And lastly, Dallas Mavericks will be the champion next season. Cheesy

Dallas Mavericks vs. Denver Nuggets next season in West.  Grin
If that happens, damn! I don't know which team I will bet for. My emotions will be in the way.

Yeah, NBA had done so much for the fans.
We are entertained right? Then, players can still have their salaries and so does the personnel behind it.
Their families will be happy it did continue.

We also saw how different it is when there is no crowd on the floor.
Perhaps it will change if everything goes back to normal. But I doubt that, for now.

I'm also thankful for them as I won a +2 game win personal bet with my workmates lol.

Congratulations to LA, to Miami, and to you bro. I guess even if they increase it to +10 you will still win. I did win my bet too with my friend thinking that the game will be stretched to game 7 to "excite" the fans and extend the viewership, well, it is not bound to happen knowing how LA Lakers wanted to take the Finals so bad. Congratulations too to the MVP, Lebron, I don't know why he still receives the same hate but this guy is just amazing.

While I'm looking at one picture of Butler sitting and just head down with disappointment, I feel the guy. He has done his best and made the series long and he's one of the best contributor to the team. Just the last game he didn't scored that much just as his normal game play.
Mad respect to this boy.

I didn't know how but the Lakers shut down Herro and Butler at this game, even Robinson and Dragic can't do their thing with the defense of the LA Lakers then continuing to widen the score gap as they make quick attacks with Rondo, Caruso, Lebron, AD, and KCP on the court, Lakers just proved how great they are in defense and in the offense.

That was some air tight defense from the Lakers. Not only they have the two best players in the league, they also have the best defensive minded players that hustles every defensive plays. Big props to Rondo, Caruso, D.Howard, KCP, Green and Morris for their great defensive effort.
I just felt sad for Danny Green who struggles to find his rythm from beyond the arc, disregarding how good he was in the defensive end. Not everyone noticed it why coach Vogel put Danny on the starting five despite of his poor 3pt shooting throughout the whole post season.

On the other hand, mad props for the underdog Heat, specially Butler who have had his best year of his career. Herro who just had broke records among the rookies, and the rest of the Heat squad.
I'm also thankful for them as I won a +2 game win personal bet with my workmates lol.

Congratulations to the Lakers, they played phenomenally from the start. Deserving this victory and title, LeBron continues to break records and raise this sport to a higher level. The man was amazing almost every game while the other "stars" played well every second or third, I'm glad the Lakers are champions, I wish them luck.

I like his discipline for the game. Work ethics.
He didn't miss a playoff game. I think that is one hell of a record that is difficult to break.
His injuries are not that bad too. He continues to keep his body healthy even now.
It's just difficult to do that especially if you have lots of money already.  Grin

It just shows how he loves basketball so much. Just like Kobe and MJ. They put everything into it.

He deserves that recognition, He continuously played the game with good physical and mind shapes. Knowing that with his age and wealth he can just relax and those new rising stars.

But he still shows that he still have the throne after this another ring that he got, maybe not his prime anymore but the leadership and the dedication was still there for him.

Congrats to the him and the rest of LA Lakers, might seen few more years for LBJ.

The remaining games of the season was handled very well and from what I understand it was success without any more cases from the pandemic.
I just wonder when the next season will start as they will need to adjust in the coming year because the players are going home now and are released from the bubble to protect the players and others from getting covid.
That will be a question on when it would be set if they would start it a little too soon or would wait up for some vaccine to go back into normal.
At least the entire organization did try to resume out in spite of the current situation we do had and its good that they do able to maintain it
upto the end of the season which is can say that its a good job on their side.In spite of hardship but still we do able to see a good season
even though it is totally different from the normal days.

Btw, Congratulations to Lakers and they had really done well on closing out the series. Lebron is unstoppable.!

I made big money than I expected! I wagered on lakers last game as well and when I lost I decided to put almost all my money into lakers for this game, basically I wagered money I couldn't even afford to wager because if I lost it, that would be very dangerous for me since only money I would have left with would be barely enough for survival money until at the start of the year. But, I trusted lebron and AD to pull the plug this game, I knew they wouldn't allow a 7th game situation.

I am soooo glad, I had both outright Lakers and I also wagered a lot on the game, now I am much much better financial thanks to both. For some reason my outright still hasn't paid out, but the game itself has paid out and I can't believe I was right, I am going craaaaazyyy right now, it was such a scary thing to do but around 2nd quarter I knew I did the right thing and got so excited I couldn't wait for the game to end see that money in my account!

The Lakers played excellent defense during all quarters of this game. As a result, the Heat scored 36 points in the first half, and Butler had only 12 points for 44 minutes. Anyway, the Miami Heat was an unpleasant surprise for every team in the playoffs.  Congrats, LAL!

The defense was the key to win the game today and to finally win their first championship with Lebron James on the team. That was hard for Jimmy but that's just the way it is. He does his best and it wasn't enough to win the championship this year. Maybe Next time when he finally developed some skills to get back to the NBA finals and win his first championship.

Thumbs Up for Jimmy for doing his best.

Looks like even Google is celebrating the Lakers' victory this season. I wonder if some of the Google search engineers are Lakers fans. Too bad spectators couldn't attend the final game, it would've been glorious to see in person.

If this rumor is still true.

Then it's good!

That was an old article, Dated January 2020 and that was right before the Bubble or before the pandemic happened, so after this Championship which you can see he was very happy, that rumor might not be close to reality anymore as we saw how dominant they are playing together and probably Lebron will just retire in the Lakers uniform and Davis will takeover as the leader of the team.

Anthony Davis actually can't decide yet if he still wants to be a free agent. He is the main reason for the Lakers winning the title. But he also just signed on to the Lakers this year and it's doubtful that Lebron would suddenly retire.

Los Angeles Lakers' Anthony Davis on pending free agency: 'I have no idea'

And at least Dragic was able to play this game, even if he couldn't save his team. Kudos to him  Smiley

He is ONE of the main reasons they won the chip, but no Lebron no title.  Anthony Davis was always great but never sniffed this far into the playoffs on his own.  Lebron has shown he can make the finals year after year regardless of who is on the team, just look at the squad he played with in clevland, minus kyrie he pretty much played with a bunch of benchers.

I'm with ya here Wheelz.  To say that Anthony Davis was the main reason for the Lakers winning the title is really just a bit silly.  Lebron James is the best all around NBA player to ever live. ( Now not the best player to ever live, that title goes to the goat Michael Jordan, but the best "all around" as in Lebron due to his size has been able to play more positions but when it comes to all out best player, he's squarely at #2 in my book).

I think Anthony Davis likely knows what he's doing next year, but it's not like he's going to just announce that right after winning the championship..pretty typical for players to do that.  I think he'll be back with LA

Congratulations to all Lakers fan out there, It was great season and it's been coming all along, also the best to honor Kobe Bryant's memory.

Another milestone for Lebron, you've just gotta admit he's one of the greatest players of all time, you don't need to be a fan to admit that  Cool
Kudos to the Miami Heat teams as well for putting up a decent fight, even when the circumstances weren't in the favour...

See you all in next season, and hopefully the atmosphere will be a lot better by then.

Lebron is one of the best and as his nickname says he is "The King".
It was pretty much done that the Lakers are going to be the champions this season - that was the reason why people lost their interest when Miami reached the finals. The better team won.
We should not forget though that Davis had a vital role in this team as well and performed well as Lebron did this season.

Congratulations to the Lakers and the the title. I was hoping Miami can do wonders and give us game 7, maybe even take the title, but objectively Lakers did deserve this one in this weird bubble season after all. What now?

I haven't been reading much about the new season, any info when is it expected to start?

Also, What I don't understand is why they still allow Dragic to play, he seems to be messing around in this game.
I will say my honest opinion regarding the return of Dragic.
I may sound harsh but his return just affected their rotation too much.
They are playing well when he isn't on the floor. Butler is holding the ball and doing plays, Robinson is shooting the ball more often.

I don't see the reason too why the management put him in the roster again when they are playing that well in the last games.

Well congrats to the Lakers. It is expected already that they will win the series. When they got a huge lead in the 2nd quarter, I just turned off the television and played games Cheesy. Anyway I lose all of my bets on the Heat but no regrets to it. See you next season again or in the next rookie draft Smiley.
