Rockets are playing the extreme version small ball, now I do not mind small ball, at todays basketball that small ball idea is actually works. Look at warriors if you doubt, its not about the strategy as much as talent there obviously but when they played the line up curry-klay-iggy-durant-draymond they were unstoppable and the tallest guy there was Durant and draymond guarded centers, it really worked for them. Now that means by logic Rockets could do it as well, why shouldn't they, just think of PJ Tucker as draymond and rest is basically same.

The difference is, they do not have curry, they have westbrook. They have harden which I think is better than klay (not defensively but covers the difference and becomes better offensively) and not iggy but their small forward could be eric gordon sometimes or d.house or anyone really not sure but not big difference. The biggest difference comes with Durant, they do not have Durant, not many teams have any player as good as Durant because rarely you can say a player is better than him, only maybe 5 players can fight for that spot and some people may say he is the best right now (at least offensively). At center PJ Tucker could fight for Dray but not defensively, he is just better offensively.

So as you can see, Rockets right now is the warriors team that won the first championship, the 2015 version, but teams are much better right now so I do not think they could beat everyone anymore, would be very difficult.

I like the way you compared it all.
But, there will always be the but's eh!?  Wink
It's actually a big difference which you won't see much if you won't focus in the game specially because it is at the defensive play of GSW.

Kerr knows there is a big hole in their defense. Who? Steph Curry.
So they will need to fill that hole.
How? Switching.
Compare it to Rockets again. Who among them is their hole when it comes to defense? Harden?
Let's see if they have come up with a good idea too filling that hole.

All that switching is a success because of chemistry.
Chemistry is inexplainable.
You could watch this on how good they are with switches.

The thing about Lakers is that, they have a deeeeep roster, they could play a 10 man roster and be fine with it, normally on playoffs teams drop to 8, and in Lakers if you see the team play with 12 players that game, you know it could be possible. Lebron, AD, mcgee, kcp, danny green, kuzma, caruso, dion waiters, dwight, j.r., morris and normally they have rondo and a very bradley as well, I don't know where they are, maybe they declined to play in the bubble?

I don't know really but that is 13 players, and I can see all 13 play in the finals game, that well, Lebron played with worse teams on his starting lineup in the finals so I wouldn't really be shocked. As long as they can stay healthy, I do not see any team that can beat them, but if any good player gets injured, it could ruin their chances.
They got a bump for their roster even before covid. It is very clear that they want to get the ring for this time.
While Lebron, he really wants to get the championship ans he's a candidate for MVP.

Well that is the same with other players like Giannis and Kawhi but some says that Giannis would probably be taking that out of Lebron. Every team wants their ring, that is obvious for a team but we can say that they really wanted it as this team is really bulk. It is funny how they can really play two games at the same time with their roster.

I beg to disagree about the 8 players rotation specially during playoffs, that is an old school theory, probably mid 2000's. But today is very different, as players can shift their positions. Even "centers" of today can bring the ball down the court.

But I would agree that Lakers are very deep and for sure the coaching staff are going to maximise it during playoffs.

yeah, I'm glad I found that article, but do you believe that the Houston Rockets has everything it takes to be the NBA finals this season?

I mean, they went in NBA  WCF twice against the Warriors IIRC, so this time that the warriors are out, does it increase their chance?

I am a little doubtful about it.
Why?
Mike D'Antoni
Coach which we know is an offensive type. But this is not American football where you will get another coach for defense and must be obeyed by the roster from the defense line.
I had been a fan of the Phoenix Suns back then.
Steve Nash also became an MVP but yet cannot take the ring.
Harden is also an MVP but there is still one thing that lacking. A championship ring.

Looks like we are going to see more of you here Sir.  Cheesy

I've never seen an NBA promotion like a win streak competition, maybe BetBTC can host that exclusively for bitcointalk members only.

What do you say? Grin

Thanks for the suggestion,

we will analyze it, and hopefully we’ll be able to stand for this one Smiley
It would be nice if you'll be hosting this type of competitions for sure traffics and exposures for your business will be triggered by this event,
Glad to know that you are considering this idea. Your stay to this thread would be a great sign by the way.

Looking forward to that.

I guess lakers has a higher chance to win this season because of their line up but i hope warriors get some other players who has a good stats after this season
They probably are going to be this season's champ. But not yet and not so fast, there's a new game mechanics and we have to wait until it finishes. GSW didn't performed well before the covid19 pandemic and the dub-nation has been disappointed with their standings.
A lot of internet memes came out for them to be made fun of. It's not always roses and there will be thorns but at least, this time, we've got to see a new team that's dominating.
And were back to Lakers being champs.  Grin
Health issues. Worse, it hit the superstars.
It ain't much of a problem. They could always rest for now and come back next season.
GSW have a good roster now.
All they need is to keep their players healthy. There are just times you cannot prevent it since it is a physical game.

Great, I think people will be happy to join the promotion, and this could be my first time to join in case.
There's a lot of NBA fans here and here (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/nba-2019-2020-betting-5091185), so it should be fun.

Hopefully we will hear some good news from you soon. Cheers  Cheesy

Last two games Lakers have shown that they can win without LeBron.

But LeBron showed in turn that he can score buzzers.

Lakers in a good form but Lebron always play a vital role in the team.
As the season comes to an end the games become more crucial and this is where a player like Lebron is needed. I don't think that the team is going to work under pressure is Lebron is missing.

He got some good reflexes.
From his interview he said when the ref didn't call a foul he just moved again to get the rebound and shoot it.
That is one hell of a reflex in just a millisecond.  Grin

It's fun seeing more members joining us here.
Enjoy.

That's what the sportsbook says, Lakers are the heavy favorites to be the NBA Champion this season

My opinion is the same: Lakers are the favorites and will win this season. Time will tell, we'll see.

Well, good luck, maybe consider betting on the Lakers to win if you haven't done it yet, only if you love to gamble anyway.
BTW, aside from this site, we also have an NBA betting discussion thread, link below if you want to follow or share.

The LAC almost beat the Lakers. If only they had a full lineup.

Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell are the strongest duo off the bench.

Both can contribute for the team,  Montrezl Harrell good in defense while Lou Williams are good with offense, if he is the one carrying the ball, there's a good movement in the floor and they can find good shots, so they are really missed in that game, but it's alright, they are already qualified in the playoffs.

I guess lakers has a higher chance to win this season because of their line up but i hope warriors get some other players who has a good stats after this season

It's a different game when the other team is shorthanded, they are playing the Clippers but two of the most important players of the Clippers did not play.

Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell did not play but these two is expected to be back again and if they will meet again, we might see a different result.
