Am I the only one thinking LeBron's gonna come out firing when play resumes? He hasn't really had a considerable break in 17 years, the breaks probably done him the world of good.

What do you mean by that?
I am sorry, I am kind of having a hard time to understand your statement.

George Floyd's death is getting a lot of support from our NBA players and different known athletes.

“There’s a lot of stuff you said that he’s gonna miss — that I’m gonna be there for. I’m gonna walk her down the aisle. I’m gonna be there for her. I’m gonna be here to wipe your tears. I’m gonna be here for you and Gigi. Floyd might not be here, but I’m here for her, I’m here to get justice, and we’re gonna get justice for my brother.”

Which team is good to bet on this series?
I think Clippers will certainly be the favorites here, but if there's a handicap, then I would probably take the Mavericks in the series.

A +2.5 handicap for the mavericks would be a good bet IMO.  what do you think?

There's a chance but it's slim.
Mavs ain't that weak to be given a handicap.
Still, I will be betting for Dallas here. Even if it is the other way around for giving handicaps which is impossible.  Grin
Yeah, since Clippers will have the homecourt. I bet even PG13 not playing they will not input a "+".

I think it's either +1.5 or +2.5... honestly, I don't want to bet on whole number point spread as I don't like "push" as a result of my bet, I would rather lose or win, that's it. +2.5 might attract a lot of bettors for the Mavericks due to the Luka hype but I think it's acceptable as although Mavericks are dominant but they are number 7 in the ranking while Clippers are in number 2, and they have Leonard who can plays extremely well during playoffs.
I second the motion.  Grin
I'd rather win or lose. I don't want a tie. I want to feel something. Sad or happy. Whatever it will be.

You have a bookmaker skills mate, I guess that would be the line if the series will indeed go for the Mavericks vs Clippers.
Mavericks only needs to win 2 games to win the series, they just need to win both home court and you'll win your bet, go with it but don't go all in.  Grin

I doubt sportsbooks will provide that kind of advantage for Dallas Mavericks if ever they will faced the Los Angeles Clippers in the playoffs. It's rare for me to see a +2 advantage of the series in the sportsbook especially if the teams involved are both dominant. But I'm not saying that isn't possible.

What I'm seeing here is, around @2 for Mavericks to take the series. And around @3 if Clippers were able to hold down Mavericks into 1-0 or 2-0 lead. Whatever the odds, expect me to bet on Mavericks series prior Game 1 then will put some extra bucks per game but still on series. That's what I always do especially during Cavaliers vs Warriors Finals (@3 Cavs to win the series prior to Game1 and @7 after Cavs 1-3*) and Raptors vs Warriors Finals (@3 Raptors prior Game 1 and... dam I already forgot*). Then several series match based on my interest.

*- if I recall correctly.

My First round prediction

West - Lakers, Clippers, Rockets, Thunder

East - Bucks, Raptors, Sixers, Heat

In general, I will agree with you. Alternatively, I would think about Denver and Boston. I keep my fingers crossed for Luka and his Dallas, but unfortunately I think LAC is too strong this year. But check this: BOS-76ers, DAL-LAC and DEN-HOU - each of these pairs could be the conference finale. I have a feeling that they will be great play-offs. Finally the season where there is no definite favorite. I can't wait for the start.

The competition has become better since Lebron left for the West, now we are seeing great playoffs as Lebron will not easily dominate anymore, he is in the West there's a lot of good teams compared to the East, and this benefits the East also since without Team Lebron, they will have a good competition.

I am betting that Bucks will not reach the Finals this season.

Magic (which I didn't watch because I wasn't alive on his prime and was a baby on his aids period) was both like Lebron but also wasn't like lebron. He was capable of scoring but the league was in a different level, there wasn't many three pointers and I know neither Magic nor Lebron shoots many threes but what Lebron had was shooters around him, so when Lebron got inside he could dish outside which really helped him out a lot on his passes, what Magic had was big guys under the basket, so passing was a bit more harder for him since he couldn't just get in and dish out.

Also, Lebron is a beast physically, Magic was tall and he was alright in power as well but nowhere near Lebron levels, he didn't power through the defense and got in one way or another. So there are plenty of similarities but there is also quite the difference as well.

I think so because it was not only Doncic who is running the team, when they acquired Kristaps Porziņģis by trading their other players, their team has become a playoff team. Now, since the season will be shorten, they have already secure a spot in the playoffs and I'm expecting that they will do better against the biggest teams in the West, if they manage to enter in the NBA finals, that would be a great gift for the fans and I think it's possible as they have a very good teamwork now.
It's possible it is Clipper which they will be against.
A strong competitive duel will be witnessed.

Luka and Kristaps against Kawhi and PG13.
It will be an awesome game.
Season standings, Clippers won twice against Mavs. Last was January where Luka and Kawhi scored 36 points with 11 rebounds for Kawhi and 10 for Luka.

Which team is good to bet on this series?
I think Clippers will certainly be the favorites here, but if there's a handicap, then I would probably take the Mavericks in the series.

That is the playoffs which is why we love it more.

In playoffs, we will see the top 16 teams doing all they can to reach the top and become champion. You will see what it means by playoff if you see those players running towards the basket in pass break. they really put it all for two sure points and the one that chasing them really runs fast. this is where you will see most injuries happened. Playoffs are really like a game of thrones. if possible, every decision made will be calculated to win one game. We might miss it this year but if they find some way to resume it, then the playoff game this year will worth it.

There is way too much hard work put into being in the playoffs and everyone knows that you are just few games away from being world champions, thats why everyone puts up %110 to the game and do not only the best they can do, but also try to never let that gas pedal go neither, always be on and even on bench always be hyped, just never dial it down at all.

In playoffs, that's where the real NBA stars shine, it doesn't matter if they are in the last spot in the ranking as long as they will be included in the playoffs as they could possibly upset a high ranking team. What I noticed is that LBJ always gone beast mode once in the playoffs, he take over the team and deliver a win. Now, I think he is in a better team and Davis and him can bring the Lakers into the NBA finals, so good luck to our favorite team, and hopefully the NBA will resume soon.

Every top NBA elite players always rises on the occasion specially playoffs. That's why it's a test on how good a player is or team is. As for the case of Lakers, LBJ is the leader and he should have the ball when the game is on the line. Davis is the number 2 options for me, James doesn't need to go beast mode every night though, its a team game and he should get help from other players as Lakers is very deep on talents.

The season is like the practice of being the new point forward.
We saw how scary it is when the player who is making plays is at 6'8 height.  Grin
I didn't saw how Magic did it before. Perhaps, it is almost the same as this.
It will be more scary when it comes to the playoffs.
At Cavs he was always attacking but it will be different now. It's already exciting just thinking about it.

I think that's the trend now, soon we will see more PG with height like 6′ 8″ and 6′ 7″... Right now, I can only see two very tall PG and that's Lebron James and Luka Doncic, they have a good duel actually in the regular season and I think they will have another one int he playoffs.

They are not going to meet in the first round but if both teams will advance, they might face in the 2nd round, and that means they Mavericks will have to beat the Clippers which has Leonard who won the championship last season and the finals MVP.

The ranking might change a bit and if Dallas will face the Nuggets, I think it would be a nice match up.

That means your a real fan even with the low chances of winning it.  Wink
Credits to Cuban for finding guys like Doncic. There are bad deals which he made but I guess it is for the best.
I will never understand how both Suns and Kings passed on Doncic, as Kings got him only due to those teams stupidity.

First we have Suns, who at the time of draft  was managed by Kokoskov, his Slovenia national team coach, that lead him to Euro title the previous year. It is unveliveable that Suns management didn't want to listen Kokoskov, as I am 100% certain that he wanted to pick him (he even hinted that in one interview, that it wasn't up to him). He wasn't even completely new in Suns, as he was assistant coach there from 2008-2013. All that wasn't enough to persuade Suns team..

Then we have Kings, with Vlade Divac as general manager. Out of all people, Divac as an Euro player should have been able to see how good Doncic is, and pick him up. Rumor is that he has some kind of feud with Doncic father. If i was Kings owner, I would sack him just for that.

Well now, it is full of regrets for them.  Grin
I think Cuban was also a supporter of Euroleague players. He did keep Nowitzki even with his shitty start on Dallas.
Instead of kicking him out, they improved him and it worked like a charm. They won a championship because of that unique shooting style.
I can still remember those free throws he made against Miami which hurt them the most.
45/46 total against the Miami Heat. Wow!
Actually, he is the reason I became a Dallas fan. He is the meaning of hard work and effort.

While its true that playoff is when the real stuff starts and upset is always possible, that doesn't happen very often, that low seeded team goes for a deep playoff run. Probably 2 best example of  surprises in recent history are NY Knicks. First in 1995 when they won the title despite being 6th seeded ( but they won 1994 title too, so obviosuly they were great team) and back in 1999 when they reached the final after finishing 8th in the East. But those are more exceptions, than standard thing.

I am betting for Denver or Dallas. Some may say it is a weak decision but I don't care. It's my guts which tells me and not the stats book.
If Dallas could upset the Clippers, it will be sweeter.

I'm hoping too for Dallas Mavericks. Miss them badly to see in Playoffs. Their last playoffs appearance is way back 2015-16 season.

In some sports forum, I always have a hashtag of #Dallas Mavericks NBA champion in every of my post even the chances are slim. Cheesy

I even put some bucks on the NBA Futures for Dallas Mavericks in NitrogenSports.
