3. Zion Williamson won't only win Rookie of the Year -- he'll also make the All-Star team
4. Bradley Beal will finish the season as a Denver Nugget

A bit off topic I guess.
With the upcoming retirement of Luol Deng. Who's feeling a bit sad here that our childhood superstars are retiring? I won't mention the other superstars that have already retired but many of them are part of our childhood. Sorry for bringing nostalgia to this thread.
I watched him play but he is not really a superstar so it did not mark a lot to me.
Maybe if Lebron will retire than I would feel sad because we know he is the king in the NBA and he has a lot of fans although he also has a lot of haters.

In the other news, Zion Williamson will sit out last preseason game  against NY Knicks due sore knee.He is only 19 yo, i hope that Pelicans won't push him too hard in his first season, you gotta be careful with these kind of players.

Whether he adjust his playing style or he loses weight. His knee will not be able to withstand the pressure of the regular season if he keeps playing the way he does with his current weight. I do not want to see him turn into a top pick bust just because of injury. I want to see his full potential and what he can bring to NBA.

Check this video on why Zion has a high risk of injury. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGRnMIRCtDU

Nice explanation but his style of play is what makes him popular and became the number 1 in the latest draft pick.
I am pretty sure the Pelicans already understands that and if he will not play its full potential the pelicans would not get the full service from him.
All the teams who get the number 1 pick has a high hope that it will take the team to the playoffs and will remain to be a contender, so limiting him might not help the purpose.

Right, all they should do is on how to strengthen that knee to avoid brutal injury. 82 games in the regular season is not a joke for an NBA players. They should consider prioritizing their health if they want to have a long career. Just like LeBron, Zion Williamson should have a routine for himself to be always on top shape Everytime they play and avoid injury.

I'm not a total fan of Deng but I admire how he plays and how loyal he was during his Chicago days. Now that he would come to retirement, it's pleasing to see him retire in his home team which drafted him. Chicago bulls is a good institution and Deng is lucky to have to retire in a Chicago system.

Actually, Phoenix Suns drafted him but he was traded immediately to Chicago Bulls because of draft rights.

I will never forget this guy as he is part of the famous Bulls trio back then together with Kirk Hinrich and Ben Gordon, before the arrival of Derrick Rose.

I think this is the first time I saw such an event where a team made a 1-day contract so that a player can retire to their preferred team.

Nice moves by Chicago Bulls for allowing this.

Oh yeah I remember that time. Ben Gordon was really awesome at those times and with Hinrich outside while Deng also spreading the floor. They are a small roster but they can really entertain people.

Respect for the Bulls management.
Not every team could do this since they will think it will be a waste of spot. They would rather take another bench player than add one just for commemoration.

One of my worries up until now. That body of his really needs some cut in weight.
That is also why I am rooting for RJ instead of Zion. Yes he got the confidence but RJ still got a lot of room for an upgrade.

Talking about signing new contracts, Bradley Beal agrees to sign a 4-year 130M deal with the Washington Wizards. That's another big money for a player. This is the current trend for most players now, get paid well in your best years so that it's okay to get minimum when you want to chase a ring and join a championship team.

Washington Wizards don't have much options, after all he is their best player. I feel a bit sorry for them, few years ago they were promising team, but they really messed themselves up with that god awful John Wall contract and i don't see them sorting that anytime soon. And on top of that, John Wall will most likely miss whole 2019/2020 season.
Tough few years ahead of Wizards

Not a fan of Wizards , but Beal and Wall tandem is one of the good ones in the NBA. I dont know, but Im thinking they are lacking key players? Or they're running the same old rotations and style of game. I really thought they had a shot for the finals when they acquired Nene, still came up short.
Wall is suffering from raptured achilles, and Im pretty sure he will miss the entire season. Anyone in a sane mind will not get back to the game unless your a hundred percent fully recovered.

Beal and Wall alone can't take this team to a championship level, they are running the same rotation on vital players, of course if they want to improve they need to add another player that could help boost their line up.

Also, let's consider the fact that John Wall was injured and he might not be the same again in this season. With him healthy, he is really the heart of this team as he manage the ball very well as a point guard and that's when the other players are getting better, so we need to see him healthy and do what he do best in the team.

John Wall will almost certainly miss whole 2019/2020 season, as Washington Wizards won't risk and bring him back too early.

Sorry for bringing politics into this its just a hot topic globally right now.
Thanks for that quick reponse however I've replied late. Let's just make this topic and thread clear for NBA updates but we shouldn't prolong the discussion about the politics that happens with them.

Is there any Luol Deng fan here?

Yeah, I am a fan, the only time I saw the bulls played better was when he and Derrick were in the team.
Bulls are signing him not to make him play but just for him to retire with the bulls which I think a great decision by both player and the management.

Wow. I think commemoration is the right for it.

It is a good thing that Bulls never forget. He is one of the top player that stayed with them for a long time and also reaching his higher peak of being an NBA player.
2 time Nba All Star and NBA All defensive Second Team.
This guy was great in his prime, no doubt about that. His name is shaking the NBA news.
He want to retire as a Bull. Granted easily.

Thank you Luol Deng.

I am also thinking when the time will come that Bulls will do the same with DRose, I mean this guy really make the Bulls a entertaining team to watch because of him even that time he was still a rookie.

he sacrificed his body, gave the Bulls a chance to be in the playoffs consistently before he got some serious injury.
Rose is still young and still playing now, but as soon as no team will be interested on him, hoping he will end up retiring the same with Deng.

Well that's true but I don't think that Bradley Beal hasn't really proven himself to deserve that kind of money. I've been preparing for the NBA fantasy (which I was hoping someone will help me on this thread) and Beal is in the top 10 players to be drafted in the league, and all of the mock drafts I participated he didn't even cross the 11th pick and above. This only means fans also know his value for the Wizards and he may not win a lot of games since Wall is injured but he will be the best player for Washington along with Bryant of course.

That is true, they are going to lose a lot of games so he will get a lot of garbage points and stats in the 4th.  Most of the opposition will be resting their best players in the 4th against the wizards so he should do well.  I can see him averaging 25-27 points a game easy this year.  He is going to be a volume guy on this team, I'd take him in fantasy if you get him in the right slot

Carmelo Anthony’s defense reportedly another reason he remains unsigned

I have to agree with this. Dude never played good defense, I think about the majority on his career.

But again, not a reason at all to just left him hanging. Melo already said that he is willing to adjust this time. Willing to accept any roles. Even willing to accept a veteran salary or sort of pay-cut on his usual.
That's an issue about him but base on that, I agree that the guy's have changed and any team that's still able to give him a ride to their boat should sign him. I think he have learned that already and is willing to be really changed.

Guys, just for a changed, who wants to bet against me?
Good luck to your bets, pal. Hoping that he'll get a contract this season.

I also heard of this news and also saw this on facebook. Congratulations to the man! It is well-deserved. Although for me, I think he needs to work on his talents with some other teams, but I guess he is the guy that does not chase championships. So it's only for cash. Although you can't blame him, he worked hard to carry the name of the Wizards.
He deserves this contract as we seen him played well from the previous season and I also agree that he's not going to nail a ring if he alone will carry his team, He need someone or he needs to be be traded if he's aiming to have a good chance to win a championship. But it's all about how he will showcase his talent and how he will bring his team to this coming season.
