But who is really on the trend now?
The 44th draft pick for the Miami Heat and then traded to Denver. Bol Manute Bol. Let us see what this big guy can do in NBA. Will he surpass his father?!

I knew it, I remember the surname Bol as a tall NBA players in the past, I saw some highlights from this center but I don't think his son will be better than him, but anyway that's remain to be seen, I just don't see the body and his height is just 7′ 2″, we have that height in the NBA with bigger body.

Atlanta Hawks really has a nice set of picks this draft class but due to trade talks, I don't know how they will end up. Literally, like a Lakers back then, full of young players.

But if the chemistry works it will be a good piece of art. Young guns taking over the NBA, but they will have to go thru some pioneers and one example is Kawhi which aint normal when the game is on hand.

New blood will be getting spilled in the next season, I hope that will be great since we will be seeing new great players and how will be the next NBA shift from now on. Some say Zion will be the leading man here but I see more great players. I don't know if anyone can recognize here that Bol Bol, son of Manute Bol is drafted and I think he is underrated. Maybe from his injury but I think he will be a great player. A 7ft player with the hands of a good Shooting guard, that would be great.

That huge of a player like Bol and Zion are prone to injuries in their feet and that is why I also didnt mention a lot about Zion. It will be a good thing if he could land on his feet every game like Lebron does.
That is also why I will go for RJ Barrett. This guy almost have the perfect figure. Polishing his skills will be easy as long as he will not be injured.
He can also get the best record if he could perfect the attendance in each game instead having a monster game but with incomplete game played.
He have that "Pippen like" figure which is almost perfect.

Oh! Let us not forget the curse of the 1st pick. Grin

Watch out for De'Andre Hunter of the Atlanta Hawks (drafted by Lakers but part of the Lakers-Pelicans trade). Can't wait to see their backcourt duo with Trae Young. Hawks are lacking a good role player around the SF position for quite some time now so I'm expecting Hunter will fill the gaps.

Cleveland Cavaliers really wants to have a piece of Hunter but since they are behind Lakers, they picked Garland instead.

Atlanta Hawks really has a nice set of picks this draft class but due to trade talks, I don't know how they will end up. Literally, like a Lakers back then, full of young players.

Let's leave trade talks at the moment. What do you guys think of the new bloods next season? Pelicians became an interesting team again after selecting Zion as their first pick. Interesting young line up with that team. Nuggets also got a big young man in bol bol.

The trade talks plus this new players are spicing things up even more. If the nuggets can keep their team intact for the next season, they may reach the west finals. The Pelicians may look exciting with their young and athletic team but I think they'll fall short and not rrach playoffs.
Experience does matter and only good teams that performs or plays well do have that chance on getting some slot on the playoffs.
Next season would really be an interesting one because we would see these young players which do have actually the talents that are really capable.

I think the Nuggets had good big men and I don't think they need another one unless they make a trade.

Regarding Zion, I think so that he can work well with Lonzo Ball. Why? The point guard of Duke is not of a scorer and more of a playmaker. Ball's IQ and Zion's athletic ability could be a deadly combination. We'll see next season what they could do.

This gets me pump for next season. Ball didn't show his true potential in Lakers, well at least a glimpse. But with a new team I'm sure he will try to prove that he really belong to the NBA and together with Zion they could be a force to reckon next season. I just hope that someone will guide them at least so that we won't see their talent wasted at least if we see some potentials in their first year as a duo.

Zion will be tested after pairing with Ball, this combo needs to click out in order to bring good chances for the team to be more competitive, there's a lots of trades and newcomers around, it will be the best time for this young rookie and the traded star to combine both talents and skills together providing their worth inside this league.

Not expecting that much but it's worth to watch if they will be able to improve the franchise status from last season.

He is the prince that was promised! We the north hehehe.

No, he is the king now, so a King will definitely stay to rule his kingdom.
I am sure Leonard will change his mind, he maybe was not expecting that he will be champion the last off season but things happened, the world of basketball are surprised with things that happened, but him getting the love from the big fan based of the Raptors, not wise to refuse that and find another team to play.

As I said before.
He aint that type. He doesnt have an attachment with any player or any team.
He doesnt control where he will go. He got a management behind him and this people want some money and not how Kawhi think.
Besides, Kawhi do agree with that as long as he could play basketball.
He is a winner and any team he will go he gives them a chance for a shot in a championship.

Again, as long as the Raptors can best all the offer that will be given then they might close a deal with Uncle Dennis. Grin
I agree with Reid,

Kawhi is a cold blooded beast and he don't give a damn fuck to what will other people say and think about him, he only wants to play basketball and he also doesn't care about legacy even though he's already a future hall of famer. I don't know why team hopping for Kawhi is not an issue or hated by the people compare to LeBron, or maybe it's normal in the NBA nowadays  Cheesy

I couldn't even keep track of who went there last night, %60+ of all picks have been traded last night, I knew that this draft was more like couple players and rest are trash but I didn't know what could be the reason why everyone traded it for something better in the future, I can understand the teams that didn't want to draft now and get a pick later but I do not understand teams that took those picks.

The only good trade last night was Atlanta and new Orleans where pelicans sent Solomon hill which had a 12+ million contract and gave number 4 pick for it which created a great gap for them in the small forward spot. From a team with just Jrue and AD they turned it into a team with Jrue-Lonzo-Ingram-Randle-hart- and now Zion. They have an amazing future ahead, I hope they will be capable of getting Dangelo Russel and show Lakers what they have missed with that team.

Good example indeed will be Kawhi as mentioned since he is a living proof that resting for a while and not to force yourself to play right away will benefits the team that you are playing with, he rest a lot then comeback with good condition and bring big lift to the team who buy his contract and
trust him with his abilities, it was a big questioned of health when he and green got traded but he prove things out and give Raptors the dream they
always wanted to have.
He is a good example but each athlete has their own attitude and ego. Whatever plays to their mind, I hope that they will choose the best option for them.
And that is to take rest maybe for the half of the season or before the playoffs or until they recover, whatever suits for them.

The good thing about KD and Klay is that they are not late in their careers right now, they are still pretty young compared to some of the other big injuries like theirs and that is why there is a chance they can find a way to recover with time
In a way, Kahwi made a good example of how serious injuries should be treated. They should follow his advise, "come back when you feel healthy". Kahwi has been ridiculed before and look where he is now after taking full time to recover.
Right advice for the superstars but they have their ego and has a choice not to listen. However, the finals has ended and there's more time for them to rest and recover.
The injuries of these superstars will soon regain back their health and ready to take off for the upcoming season.
The time frame for resting will be depending to how players wanted to be fully recovered since Kawhi chooses to take more time and rest for its benefits he get what he wanted and prove it worth, now he came back with full strength and bring his team a title.

For those who are still in their injuries, they can choose between playing quickly or fast recoveries or rest till the time that the conditions of their body allow them to play back with full chemistry.
If I'm one of those superstars, I'll remain on my rest and just support them with all that I can. AFAIK, they are still in the contracts and they will still receive salary in full as long as they not violate any condition written. So for those superstars, deciding whether to play or not would be easy if they are caring for their health.

A player leaving the team after a winning season? Is this common in the NBA? I reckon the Raptors will give Kawhi a big bonus and a big increase to the money the pay him to keep him.

Toronto Raptors will surely offer a luring contract.

However, we all know that Kawhi did not really prefer joining the Raptors prior to the season. He just wants to get out from the vicinity of San Antonio Spurs so any 1-year deal with any teams will do. Now that he worked together with the Raptors especially they got the Larry O' Brien trophy, we don't know if something changes his mind along the way.

The Raptors has always been in the playoffs in recent years. He should try it for 1 more year, I reckon. He is the prince that was promised! We the north hehehe.
