That's what separate elite and a future legendary player like Lebron or Kobe and B side great player like PG. They are one level below, while Kobe and Lebron won championships and MVP's while majority of them are chasing their first title and we don't know if they can even achieve one in their entire NBA career.
However, their names are already recognized so not bad at all. I believe that one of them could be a future legend as well, if it's not then future rising stars (one good example is Luka). There's nothing permanent, even the King will pass his thrown to others when the time comes Grin.
It's now getting clearer...Lebron is not going to the playoffsssssssss! Wahahaha
Our predictions are not the same. What I think is that Lakers can be able to qualify for the playoffs but probably not even in the semis. Well, it's still too early to make conclusions so let's keep waiting.

I will bet for the Lakers not making the playoffs. But I will also bet Lakers games to win, because of game fixing. We don't know if Lebron will be buying games! Who knows if the commissioner himself will the one to pay!?

The upcoming All-Star game will be exciting.

Why?

a) Dirk Nowitzki and Dwayne Wade will be part of All-Star rosters. That was a special order by the commisioner itself. (Hope Vince Carter too Smiley )
Glad to know they have given chance to those seasoned players. Yeah would have been great to have Carter too.

b) Dirk Nowitzki will be one of the participants in the NBA 3 point shooutout.  Looking forward that he can still give a close competition against the sharpshooters of current era today, Steph Curry, Damian Lillard etc.
Here is where they should've included Carter. He is great with his three points by now. Almost like a sure shot whenever he is free at the three point line.

c)
Luka Doncic vs Trae Young in Skills Competition (the current top 1 and 2 rookie of this season as of the date).

d) Battle of caliber youngsters today in Team USA vs Team World (Kyle Kuzma, Lonzo Ball, Donovan Mitchell, Trae Young ,Luka Doncic, Ben Simmons, DeAndre Ayton etc.
I will be betting for team world if ever the odds will be good. I hope there is no handicap like +10 or +20 or I would rather bet with another NBA fan than the betting site. Grin

I think what he is trying to say that PG did have a lot of great games but looking at players like Harden right now or back in the day Lebron, Jordan, Kobe and all that, they had these type of games all the time.

PG can give you a game where is like Kobe, he can continue doing that couple games in a row, but he has also a lot of games where he is nowhere that level. He is definitely an all star caliber player but he plays between all-star level and superstar level all the time, one day this and another day that. However, players like Jordan and Kobe and so forth played the superstar level every single game, not just "most" of the games but almost all the games. PG is not a 30+ ppg guy consistently, he is more like 20+ consistently and sometimes 30+ which I think was the point.

Kobe is one of the most overrated players of all time.  He was a ball hog that shot a low percentage.  He won the first 3 titles because of shaq and won the last 2 because of Pau Gasol.  Kobe doesn't come anywhere close to Jordan and James.

We can also argue that Jordan has Scottie and others like Kukoc, Rodman, Kerr. Same with Lebron with Dwade and Chris Bosh.

PG always play good but somehow feel short when the game is on the line. Just like their last game wherein he misses a 3, that could have gave them a tie or the lead if I'm not mistaken.
Not everyone would agree, we can be bias when we are talking about our favorite players in the NBA.
I myself believe that Kobe is better than Lebron, stats wise, it's for Lebron but for achievement in the NBA, I'm more on Kobe.
Though Lebron has still plenty of time to improve his stats and achievement, but I'm judging based on my own perception.

Can't wait.  Cool

Too bad Doncic is not part of All-Star reserves although he got the second most votes overall defeating Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo and other big names. The criteria now changed that's why.

Games between the Celtics and the OKC is also good, both showed how good they are but the Celtics won with some crucial plays in the last minute of the game. PG can't be denied that he is very consistent, again tonight he scored 37 points, and it's his 4th consecutive games with at least 30 points in a game.

Watched just the highlights of that game.
Damn Kyrie is really a monster. Those moves which could not be copied by anyone. His so fast that he makes fast people looks so slow.
Also those lay ups which could not be blocked. There is some kind of magic in his shots or just the right moment to throw it. Like he is too long in the air and he got time to think and change the shot. Grin

Let us not forget the donations of Marcus Smart too.

Lol. It's not yet half of the season yet and you already know what LeBron's fate is. Anyways, it's your prediction but I see it the other way since LeBron will always find ways to get to the playoffs and even in the finals.

Well you have to give it to the guy. He'll probably go to the playoff with whatever team he's on. The lakers will be there alright, but i'm not so sure how far in the playoffs they be able to push forward. Finals is out of the question though. The warriors are in for a dynasty.

I dont have anything against PG, but I dont think he is VERY consistent. If you can still remember those games that he had an off-night? He cant do anything to help his team pull up a W. What he did was throwing bricks after bricks. He's an allstar caliber player, but totally different from a very consistent superstars like Kobe or LeBron or Jordan. They all in different level and thats my difinition of VERY CONSISTENT.
What more can you hope for, this guy is coming from a big injury and now slowly getting into shape and he has shown his consistency.
However, you cannot compare him with Kobe or LeBron or Jordan, because this GOAT are in different level, they are already a hall of famer in the NBA.

No doubt about him, but in the other side Kyrie also showed how well his team can be when they blend together, I'm sure Bostons fans enjoyed this game as upto the last dying seconds both teams are playing great.

We will see them again in the all Star game, it's exciting to see how this two superstars compete and continue the rivalry.
I believe the Celtics is the better team here because they can still compete even without Irving but OKC with Westbrook is completely
a different team. Congratulations to them, they just stop the OKC thunders winning streak.

Yep, it's a good game though, it can go either way, but OKC fumbles in the dying seconds and was unable to make the crucial shots that's why Boston escape with the win.

I'm not surprised by Kyrie though, his been consistent, but it was a team effort, they play good defense and put the stop when it's needed.
It's very entertaining to watch when games are close, you'll get what you paid for.
This two is an example on an entertaining teams in the NBA, they are very determine to win and they certainly have a chance
to be in the playoffs, hopefully will go further like in the Finals if possible.
