50 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists,  there is a new record for westbrook! 42 triple-doubles in 1 season. It is an amazing record.
Congratulations to Westbrook!

Russell Westbrook should be the MVP now. Breaking Oscar Robertson is not a easy task to do this season long. The record has been standing there for so long and who would imagine after Durant leave OKC that finally it will be broken by Russell Westbrook. Yes, is an amazing feat he will probably broke his own record next season.  Smiley.

Westbrook will be the next Michael Jordan or better than Jordan? With the skills he showed, I am sure he will have a good team in the next season, thunder is a good team but he needs back up to continue the offensive flows and the moment he will be paired with another star who is willing to give way for the popularity and accepts that rule, I guess this team will be a tough team in the West.

Oklahoma Thunders back then are already tough team in the West. It's just that Harden's first final appearance makes him shutdown and very different for what performance he made during the playoffs. Same thing with Durant, Lebron James is his kryptonite and it was proven many times lol.

Also OKC today have good lineup and only needs some modifications at the bench as a support. It's better that Durant leave the team as Westbrook shows his true potential in carrying the team. He enhances also his shooting skills and learned to fight during clutch plays which he rarely do when Durant is still on them.

And Westbrook will not be the next Michael Jordan. He has his own name as they have different legacy with Michael Jordan.

Right. No ones gonna be mike ever. Though russ' performance this season is truly exceptional. Never thought that he'd accomplish this right after thr year kd left. Though i don't thinks that's good for the organization as well that westbrook is doing pretty much everything. If russ goes down, okc will be an easy pick for any team

Yes and that's it. Russell Westbrook breaks Robertson's record and set his own at 42nd triple double made in a season. What a difficult achievement that was all started last year against the New York Knicks. It's hard to maintained the numbers and this guy just don't give up. Kudos to him.

And to add for that historical achievement, they win against the Denver Nuggets with a fantastic show. A beautiful buzzer beater from the 40 ft rainbow area, who thought it will bucket since that is a defended quick catch and shoot. A monster performance @ 50 pts , 16 boards and 10 assists which on first half already have 23 pts, 12 boards and 6 assists.

MVP isn't it?
Yes he does deserve everything he worked hard for in his long career!
Beast mode initiated in this game to take it to the next level.
He took the record in fine form and instyle with an astounding 50 points just to show his critics he is not messing around and he is serious contender just as Lebron and Harden for their respective teams are and the sole winner for the MVP title this year! He has this one in the bag. Cool
No doubt about that now! Grin

The best moment of this NBA season will be when I watch Russell Westbrook win the MVP. The most deserved I have seen in quite some time. The man has been in beast mode this season.

I will not argue with you, he surely deserves to get the MVP title for this season. And I've seeing him play very well each of their games. He surely is a consistent player and he is making his career growth very fast. I didn't even know him way back years ago as I'm not a fan of him, but right now I can say that I'm a fan of him.

This season for Russell Westbrook is one for the history books. It would be such a shame if he loses the MVP race to James Harden, although I feel that he also deserves it somehow. It's just that only one guy can win the award and I think that there's no player more deserving to win that than Westy. That 3-pointer and another triple double should be the final statement that he needs to make for a very strong case for that MVP award. Although I can't still compare him to MJ because MJ was brilliant until the day he retired and had 6 championships and multiple MVPs (regular season, Finals, All Star).
Westbrook is still young and he can do a a lot of things to be more better, I would not be surprise if he will be breaking his record after record. He has a great potential to be one of the greats in the NBA and shame to Durant for leaving him, it was only proven that the Thunder can still enter into the playoffs without him. Further, that Thunder is still not a good team compared to the warriors and Cavs who has achieve a championship but they are in the making and I'm very positive to that.
westbrook would be just lebron before he's so talented and everything is with him but he needed to leave cavs and go to heat just to gain a ring then go back to cavs together with love and irving to gain another ring this time inside with his old team, westbrook needed someone who can play with him, if only harden and durant didn't leave maybe okc will be the toughest team to compete inside the league.

The Rockets played good last night, if they would do better than that I'd say they have a chance for the West Conference playoffs at the least.

Derek Rose become a superstar on his young age and before he gets multiple major injury, And look at him now, his play now is not the same back the time when he has no fear on driving all the way to the ring just like Westbrook performance right now. Westbrook still didn't experience major injury that's why he has still no fear. I will just believe in him once he experience major injury then comeback like nothings happened and play like there's no tomorrow.

Westbrook made another winning shot against the Denver, I lose today while westbrook made history. Very inconsistent Denver, they do not deserve to be in playoffs, westbrook was beast in that game and it seems that he is getting more clutch now and I hope he can also do that with elite teams in the NBA.

any predictions on lakers vs timberwolves?

dunno, both teams are out of the playoffs

Lakers won 3 in a row including against the Spurs, they should have advantage but they don't win 4 in a row in years

Atrocious performance by the Cavs, I don't understand what is going on besides the fact that Lue keeps playing and wearing down the starters. A 26 lead can't disappear like that even if a few calls were controversial and favored the Hawks.

I hope the myth of "flip the switch" is real and the Cavs can get it together by the playoffs but it's not looking good. Depending on the lineup tomorrow could be a very easy win for the Heat so place your bets accordingly.

Raptors are in good form and in beating the Knicks this afternoon they clinched the third spot in the east!
Well done Lowry and company! Smiley
