Warriors are back!

Currently enjoying a huge lead in the first half against the clippers. They need this one as in the past games, they tend to fold in the 2nd half, so this time, no more messing around, they should continue their good shooting to prove to the fans that not only they can beat Spurs ( a bad team) on their home court but can also beat the Clippers who recently beat the Kings who put a spear on the Warriors heart with the big comeback win.
No, the Clippers are just bad.  Cheesy Coach Kerr used 4 small guards and yet they cannot even score in the paint.  Grin
Commentators still use the "no chemistry" card up until now but not for me. When stars are playing together, they are supposed to not "need" that.
And they are not young anymore, they are veterans and some of them have played with each other. Westbrook with Harden, George with Westbrook, it's just Kawhi who needs chemistry with them.
Warriors beat them because the Clippers cannot play like a team. They are good at playing isolation games but against a team like the Warriors who is playing like they are brothers for a long time, it won't work.
Coach Lue must have been hearing a lot of bad things from the Clippers management right now. Sure, they won against the Kings but that team also had a hard time winning against the Warriors without some of their core players.
The worst thing is the Warriors played without CP3, Wiggins, and GP3 and still beat the Clippers.

OKC is back in the winning column after back to back 2 close defeats against the other top teams earlier. I thought Lebron and AD would teach young OKC some veteran plays. But OKC exploded in the second quarter with a huge rally.  I like this young team, they are pretty sure tough to beat, especially in the coming seasons.

I thought that the Lakers will come strong in this game. But the OKC Thunder took the game from them. After a great performance, D'Lo just got 16 points in this game. So OKC is for real this season. And Chet still making a statement for the rookie of the year.

Meanwhile, San Antonio failed to stop the visiting Hawks. Trae Young erupted especially in the 4th quarter. So Spurs are now on a 13-game losing streak. And it seems like the bleeding won't stop very soon since their next games they will travel to New Orleans and Minnesota.

I think it is to be expected that the Hawks are going to win, it's just a matter on what will be the handicap. And for those who bet on the Spurs on the + side, they will obviously win, but still at the end reason, they are on the losing streak and we don't know when it's going to end.

Oklahoma City Thunder performed really well. In the second quarter, they performed better than anyone expected. I never thought that they were going to make such a big difference in one quarter that it will be really hard for their opponent to overcome. But that happened. They performed so well in the second quarter that it was almost impossible for the Lakers to make a comeback. But it was a good performance from Oklahoma, and they deserve credit for that.

Spurs lost a very close match against Hawks. They lost by only two points which was very unfortunate, to be honest. Only if they could play a little better in the last quarter.

The Detroit Pistons are moving themselves towards record setting territory with how bad their start has been this year. They lost another one tonight to the New York Knicks bringing their record to 2-17. It doesn’t say much for the argument that the NBA needs expansion teams when they already have teams that can’t compete as it is.

It happens from time to time in the NBA.
My point is that if a team has a rebuilding phase or has lost a few key players due to injuries, it's expected that such a team will be an underdog and won't be able to compete with other teams. If I'm not mistaken, the record for the longest losing streak belongs to the 76ers, as they lost 28 games in a row in the 13-14 season. So the fact that the Pistons have 2 wins with 17 losses is still not the worst result.

Nets fans' reaction to the team's poor performance in the 08/09 season.

In the previous game, they lost the match because Curry missed a shot in the last second, but in this game, he contributed 26 points to the team. I think the situation of the team is still not good, they do not play harmoniously with each other and if they are not on their lucky days, they cannot win the match. Curry cannot meet the expectations this year, something must change in the team

It also has something to do with them playing at home, and usually they play good at Chase center. But they still miss CP3, although Draymond try to play point early on and he as effective, hitting 2 three point in the 1st quarter and then they build a good lead that was chase by the Clippers all throughout.

But there's something missing with the Clippers again, they just like playing and going to the motions and as if they are not in a hurry to win this game. Although James hit his usual outside shooting, but it's not enough to break the Warriors specially their second unit who play good D and score points before Curry comes back to finish the game.

Warriors finally had a good win at home by beating the Clippers.

No GP3, Wiggins and CP3 and yet they were still able to beat a complete squad of the LA Clippers.

Warriors showed some impressive ball movement, the "Curry carrying the team" is not present in this game as everyone has contributed for this big win.
7 players are in double digit, seems like I haven't see this kind of stats for awhile.

Congratulations!

The match is very good since Clippers is on the good performance compared to their previous match when Harden is just newly acquired. GSW will surely lose that match if Curry is the only one carrying the game since Clippers is attacking with all their player effectively.

It’s good thing that GSW bench and Klay manage to contribute in the end even though he has a rough start with a lot of missed.

Yes, it was Klay Thompson who really did the damage when Curry is sitting. They build a good lead early and just hold on it, this kid Podziemski was impressive and so are the rest of the supporting cast.

And a needed win for the Warriors to get back their confidence after that heart wrenching lost from the Sacramento Kings.

The Spurs continue with their struggle, losing to the Hawks in a very close game.

Honestly Sixers looked like they would reach to 20 before anyone else, but then they had a few bad games, started better and now they are back to 50% in the last 10 games, they had like 8-1 or something start I think, and then lost a bit more and at 12-6 right now. In the end, I am not sure who would reach to 20 wins this season, feels like Celtics are doing fine, but if they end up the same and lose to a situation like that we should be doing something different. Like maybe sixers will go with 8 win in a row and Celtics will have 4 losses then that is going to be quite different.

I would say Celtics has a higher chance for sure, but it is undecided and doubtful to know beforehand. I get that it may not be all that quick to learn, will take a while. Just realize that NBA is a weird place, you do not really get what you look for, sometimes the best team could end up losing to the last team, and that wouldn't be all that shocking because in NBA that's common.

Friday is bringing us a couple of great matchups we can watch on ESPN. The first game is likely to be the Eastern Conference Finals matchup this year with the Boston Celtics facing the Philadelphia 76ers. Then the late game could very well end up being the Western Conference Finals matchup this year between the Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets.

This Pistons can't even beat Wizards, tonight I expect another loss against Knicks. The squad has good players but there is no team, zero chemistry, no leader. I guess it's time to use some of these pieces for trades and build a team. We've waited long enough. Even if they tank to the bottom, they still can't get first pick so there's no reason to chase draft picks anymore.
They tried to tank last season. Tried to tank just to get that generational player in Wembanyama, but they just got unlucky and went all the way down to the 5th spot.
Well, they still got a good player in Ausar Thompson. It's just that the whole management is just a mess. You've said already that there are no zero chemistry around them even though they already got a good coach in Monty Williams. I don't know if it's the management, or the players, or the environment around the whole team or whatever it is, they're still one of the worst teams in the league, and it has been like that for years already.

Pistons fans must be disappointed on how their team is performing for the last 2-3 years or even more. What they will tank again hoping to get another good player? The longest losing streak in NBA history is 28 games by the Sixers. They're halfway on it already. Smiley The Pistons and the Spurs are now battling for most consecutive losses which is kind of funny.

Ok guys I changed the poll. Our new question is first team to get 20 wins. Which team do you think will achieve it?

Right now Celtics is leading with 14 wins, they only need 6 more. Magic and Bucks from the East, Timberwolves and Nuggets in the West have 13 wins each. Very close race is going on right now.
I went for the Celtics with this one.

They're one of the best teams right now. One of the best defensive and offensive teams currently. The acqusition of Jrue Holiday really covered up their lack of defense since they traded their 2 best players in Smart, and Williams. Porzingis is already playing his best career since he's on the Knicks. I just hope that they will also play like this when they clinch into the playoffs. They're just a few wins away from winning the title in the last few years.

They loss again, Pistons now is the number 1 team in terms of losing streak, 2nd is the Spurs which currently 13. I guess we should make a bet here which of these two teams would first break their losing streak.

Spurs vs Hawks, this is a close one, I thought Spurs would win this game as they were leading in the 4th and everyone were playing great basketball, but when Trae Young took over, things have chance and the road team forces the Spurs to continue their cold streak.

Here's a good read.
https://www.nba.com/news/nba-storylines-10-most-improved-shooters-so-far
NBA Storylines: 10 most improved shooters so far

I want to focus on Duncan Robinson because he is one of the core of the Miami Heat that could effect their performance greatly.
Quote
Duncan Robinson, one of the most dangerous 3-point shooters of the last five seasons, has seen a big jump in effective field goal percentage with a big drop in 3-point rate. In 16 games, he’s already made eight more 2-pointers (33) than he did all of last season (25). Of course, he’s also shot 43% from deep, a big recovery from a rough shooting season (32.8%) in ’22-23.
Indeed one of the most dangerous shooters in the league but that was cut as last year he had been sitting mostly on the bench because of his lack of defensive skills. This season is different though, he builds muscles, he is faster physically, he can take a bump, he also attacks the paint, moving without the ball, and lastly he becomes a playmaker.
An upgraded Duncan Robinson is being shown this season averaging 30+ minutes per game with 14/3/3 in his stats. It's not bad because the effects that he brings whenever he is on the floor cannot be seen in the stats. The defense is scared to let him free because once he goes hot, there's no stopping him. Right now, he is like a Ray Allen version of the past Miami Heat.
Without Tyler Herro, the Heat badly need a shooter that can space the floor and also someone who could D. That's him and that $20 million contract is finally damn worth it.

I just recently understood how the rules will be in a tiebreaker of the In-Season tournament. So, it was a point system, just like in FIBA and the Olympics.
When the commentator talked about it during the Warriors vs Kings game that the Warriors need 12 points and win the game, that's when I understood it. I am stupid to think that they will use the regular season rankings to identify the winner.

So, the Warriors were defeated so I guess there's no problem in Group C anymore. It was actually a sad defeat because they tried very hard to make a 17-point lead and I really thought they could win the game. But Payton was hurt, CP3 was also hurt, and those two will be their key to winning the game. Sure, Wiggins is hot but still, when it comes to defense, Payton was the one who stopped Fox from attacking the paint.
It was a nice rotation from Steve Kerr, he did well despite all those problems. But, they still lost and I think the Warriors need more time to catch up on chemistry with Draymond Green.

Just like you I also don't understand the In-Season Tournament, but sure in time it will sink in eventually, right now I am still waiting the end if this Season's Tournament can make a big impact on the standings and if the team can enter the play-offs,

Well that Golden State Warriors VS Sacramento Kings match is really something Chris Paul for sure can eventually get injured and this is the worst time to get injured for sure for some reason after this game Chris Paul was not the only Warrior who got injured because in the injury list, we got Andrew Wiggins with a finger injury, Usman Garuba also has a finger injury Gary Payton II with a calf injury, and Chris Paul with a lower leg injury that is 3 main key players for the Warriors, Andrew Wiggins, Usman Garuba, and Chris Paul will be out until at least Dec 2, and Gary Payton II has the worst injury that could be out until at least Jan 2,

It looks like Celtics and Sixers started great in first 10 matches. Timberwolves is leading the West but they don't get much appreciation in the poll.

What's the hot discussion right now? Do you have any suggestion for our new poll? Let me know so I'll change it.

First team to get 20 wins maybe?

Right now TS has already added something in the Poll and as you have suggested he added Timberwolves to the list sure it will get updated until the play-offs as for sure we are still in the midst of the season and it is just getting warm-up for most teams for sure I am really looking forward for some updated with the In-Season Tournament, for sure many fans are excited about it, and some were baffled by it,

Good for you, without Embiid's presence, the Sixers are not just missing their best offensive player but also their big man, and yes Zion will take that.
advantage as he can penetrate well and create most of his inside points.

And with CJ back on the court, his offensive threat just adds up, looking with their squad if all will be healthy I guess they also have that chance.
moving forward.

A Healthy Zion, Ingram, CJ and Valančiūnas all the positions that will be covered, they just need to work as one and create a good blend of game plays.

The Philadelphia 76ers badly need Joel Embiid, as he is the bread and butter for the team along with Tyrese Maxey, averaging great with 50 points against the Pacers on November 13 game, Tobias Harris, with a max of 43 points in the games against Cleaveland on November 22 game, for sure in addition of Joel Embiid the Philadelphia 76ers this season is a strong different team for sure,

I haven't look ahead at everyone in the lists schedule going forward, of course that would be the best way to go about deciding your answer for this question, but I would lean Boston not only because they have the most wins currently, but also because I just feel that they might be the most well rounded team in the NBA right now.

I like the Buck chances probably second most.

I'm of the same thought process.  I'd take the Celtics right now.  Just comparatively speaking they are more dominant and I'd like to see orlando run this good for at least a whole season before we start saying they are a "top team" .  They've gotten off to a good run so far.  And the west is too tricky, not sure who pulls away there but if I had to pick a second it would be Denver.  Jomic is just different and can win by himself as long as he is healthy.
