I can't believe the temporary result of the bucks vs boston celtic. until the 3rd quarter, they lost 100-62. the squad is equal but I can't believe that they can lose so badly and be so far behind. boston celtic's game today is really bad.

They are exhausted. They played until overtime yesterday. It's obvious that the Milwaukee Bucks will win that game and even the sports analysts think so too as the spread given at the start of the game is -6.5. That's not the normal spread when they are up against the Bucks when they are fresh from rest.

LA Lakers lost in a blowout against the Phoenix Suns. Bradley Beal has the hot hands shooting 8/10 in the three-point line. Booker too with his high-arcing perimeter shots made 31 points.
The Lakers are just so bad defending the backcourt. There are rumors that they are interested in Dejounte Murray of the Atlanta Hawks. They want to add more speed and with DLo getting more injured a lot of time, Austin Reaves cannot handle the playmaking. They want to spread the floor more or add some speed in their transition plays.
The Phoenix Suns on the other hand might not really make a move before the trade deadline ends. What they needed more is more body on the inside, a big forward maybe.

Knicks almost snatched that game against the Dallas Mavericks. Threes are all sinking in from Brunson, Anunoby, and DiVincenzo who made a good long run. The Mavs felt the drought for 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter where their lead was 16 or 18 IIRC. Almost there, but their luck ran dry in the last seconds of the game. It could've been the 6th winning streak for the Knicks since Anunoby played.

Must be something in the air tonight. The Portland Trail Blazers are down by more than 60 to the Oklahoma City Thunder with a few minutes to go. I can’t remember the last time I saw a beat down that bad. Hard to believe they’re even running up the score that much.

OKC vs Portland really was something.
Up 36 at halftime the odds for OKC to win the 3rd have been around 1.75, even though they still played their starters.
And what followed was a 43:17 beatdown quarter yet again, easy money.

For a while I thought OKC might now aim for the reverse record. OKC holds the record for the biggest loss in NBA history losing 79 : 152 vs Memphis.
Would have been fun to see them get the record for the highest win ever as well but unfortunately 11 points to tie is were missing. If they played their starters in the 4th this would surely have been possible but I guess fair play (makes sense ) got in the way.

Yes, OKC really would have stood a chance to clinch the reverse record for themselves, it would have been a thing to see, and meanwhile, for OKC, they had the luxury of having their starters play longer minutes in the 4th Quarter as they are not having a back to back fixture, while Trailblazers are up for what could be another round of serious bashing as they face the Minnesota Timberwolves tomorrow, I really don't think this kind of score line would be a boost of confidence when playing against the best defensive team in the league this season.

I've just seen that Coach Erik Spoelstar signed for the contract extension with an 8 years contract with a whopping $120M or $15M per year.

That's already good enough but I think that he deserves more. It's always that every season Heat is that good with his handling and management.

I just wish that he wins the COTY award soon.

This is the most interesting part.

"Got divorced before getting the bag": Heat fans point out Erik Spoelstra's divorce timeline after $120 million extension

Good timing and I think it was carefully plan by the Miami Heat. Well, he deserve this contract extension as he is an extraordinary coach, can transform an ordinary player to a star player, and can make an ordinary team to a championship team.

This is what we called "HEAT CULTURE".
Yah, I forgot to mention that part.

And it's like the Heat and Spo himself became clever on this deal. They need to let it pass first so that Spo will bag the entire money alone.

That's actually good for the Heat to consider that divorce battle of Spo so that there won't be any problem where the money is going as they pay and re-sign him.
Pat so clever they really take care of spo, waiting for the right moment before giving the extension, a win for Miami and Spo, I bet the woman did not see it coming.

Divorce is destroying a lot of men's wealth in the US so Pat Riley looking out for his coach best interest there hehe. I also think the timing of the contract extension was planned.
Heard this news yesterday night. The Miami Heat management definitely did well here in taking care of Coach Spo. He may not have given them a ring again but he had always been one step closer to the championship ring ever since they acquired Jimmy Butler. The bubble and last year where they came from the play-in tournament that was recorded as the first time to happen in the league. Good coaching and system and we have not seen Butler creating any drama ever since he went to Miami.

How about the first career triple-double of Victor Wembenyama?
I didn't get to watch the Spurs yesterday playing against the Detroit Pistons because both teams are at the bottom of the ranking so I thought it wouldn't be that much fun. I just checked the highlights after reading the news.

Winning on the road and blowing out Detroit. That's awesome. Wemby will have more triple-doubles in the future, he ain't bad with his passing skills and he can also ball handle at an average skill. With his height, he can definitely see open men on the whole floor just like how Jokic is doing it.

Yeah he is going to be a nightmare to come.  Peak ceiling he will be hlgiannis with a better handle and better outside shot.  That's a terror to deal with.  He held his own against giannis this year.  I'm still skeptical to anoint him the future, he needs to show that his body can hold up to the rigors of the NBA or he will just become another could've would've should've in the league.  Hopefully them knees stay in tact.

There’s a couple of great games tonight and they’re being televised on TNT. I’ll be watching.

First, the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks. This in my opinion is likely to be the Eastern Conference Finals matchup.

Closing out the night is the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers. Maybe not a playoff preview, but anytime LeBron and Durant face off is worth watching.
I know the Milwaukee Bucks currently 2nd in the Eastern standing but I doubt they can make Eastern Finals this season. For me it's Celtics against Pacers. If Tyrese Haliburton stays healthy this season I'll go with the Pacers but if not, I still won't choose the Bucks. I'll go with the Knicks. The Knicks right now are a good team especially with they acquired RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley. Giannis being inconsistent might mean the Bucks face similar issues as last season, possibly ending with a first round exit again this season. 😂

Knicks didn't aquire IQ and RJ they traded them.  The Knicks ended up with OG anunoby and a couple othe bench guys.  The Knicks definately got better, I was on the fence but OG comes in and guards the best guy 1-4 and is a shut down defender.  Jaylen Brunson has 44 assists in the 5 games since rj left.  A lot more ball movement.  Losing IQ hurt the bench but Q grimes and Mcbride are gonna have to step up.  Wish Luka was playing it would have been on of the games of the night even though not a tnt game.

So they will be left with a couple of good players and it will take a lot of time to see either Mitchell or Lavine (whichever they got), to blend with the team and this might cost them the playoff.

The Lakers have been far too mediocre this regular season. So they will probably have very little chance of any success in the playoffs, even if they get there. Honestly, I'm not sure they need Mitchell because he's unlikely to make much of an impact on the Lakers' results. And trading players like Russell, Reaves, and Rui doesn't sound like a good idea for the Lakers.

Agreed! I as well is not sure who will work for the Lakers and LeBron and AD, because honestly, I feel like their current roster is already a strong one. 2 major thing that they only need to do is to be consistent and play hard defense. I saw them play a good defense in the IST, the kind of defense they've done in 2020 where they become the champion and them being the number 1 in defense helped a lot to their success.
Consistency and hard defense, I can't think of anything for the Lakers to become a championship caliber team again. They actually have a good roster even after the championship year, it's just that they were not utilize very well.
Lavine, Mitchell or even DeRozan, I don't think they'll make much of a difference. But one thing I'm quite sure here, Russell, Reaves, or Rui will step up on another team if the Lakers pull a trade using these pieces.

The battle of the rookie of the year contenders between JJJ and Chet was an interesting one. Both played decent and I want to see more of their match up. It would have been a great highlight if JJJ managed to finish that two-handed dunk over Chet.

How about the Boston Celtics coming from behind against the Minnesota Timberwolves? They played perfectly in the 4th quarter and had the lead but Twolves Antman tied the game so the game went to overtime. But there they showed how strong they are and Tatum ended up with 45 points while Brown had 35 points. Damn, these two offensive monsters. Cheesy

That's why I says that Tatum and Brown are the top duo in the NBA right now as they can both explode at the same time. It was a great game, ANT really did everything with that clutch FT and play defense on the other side against Tatum.

And I thought that they have a good chance to win when KAT pulled that 3 to make a good separation. But the Celtics come back and then KAT tried to hit another one but fortunately for the Celtics, he missed and then Tatum connect on the other end and that shift the momentum on their side for a hard fought win.

For sure the Phoenix Suns will not trade Kevin Durant and for sure it would be really weird if he gets traded to a newer team you are right it doesn't make sense at all, it will become another building for that team to have Kevin Durant for sure they will need to establish their position on the team and remade their gameplay, that will be a risk to put such effort but for sure if that would be Detroit Pistons maybe and hope for the best that Kevin Durant will get used too in the team as early as he was traded,

He should stop thinking of getting traded again as that would not help his legacy. It's very obvious that he is not as great as Lebron who can easily bring his team to the championship during his prime. Durant is a good scorer though, but as we can see, Booker's performance have decline, and probably that's the reason why they are losing on their recent games.

It's still early, they can still figure out to win. And no excuses for them as they are fully healthy, so they have to play like they used to.

I think what's missing here is the likes of Ayton which Nurkic where not able to provide.

It's really hard to think that they've traded Ayton though, we know that their previous coach might not have like him, or maybe the feeling is mutual. But if they developed Ayton to become a good player they could have been a different team right now.

Nevertheless, I think Ayton really wanted to get traded as well, as the coach or even the owner himself are not sold to him. They didn't offer him a max contract when his contract ended with the Suns, just offered him just enough for his talent as per report. But we all know that he was a crucial pieces during their championship run against the Bucks and only they believed in him and not traded and still playing with the likes of Durant, if could have been different.

They were cursed and could not go any further to improve because they let go of those key players that were crucial to their winning the championship, especially Dwight Howard.

Howard was really a huge factor for the team, his contribution on defense is a big thing. He could frustrate the one he is defending especially Jokic who is the most dominant big man now. The other players I missed are KCP, Schroder, and Caruso, they really played well during their stint with LA Lakers.

They have to work out with what they have now, I think as long as they aren't still out, they still have a chance to be in the playoffs, whether through automatic qualification based on ranking or through play-in tournament.

Everything was not right after they traded almost everyone who helped them win the Championship Bubble in 2020. It went downhill after that because they could not seem to figure out what or how to improve their team and win some more games in order to secure a playoff spot despite having the 2 current best players in the league. LBJ cannot really do anything if he doesn't have any help from his team mates. They were cursed and could not go any further to improve because they let go of those key players that were crucial to their winning the championship, especially Dwight Howard.
