A bunch of in-season tournament games today and a couple of them will be aired on TNT for Chuck and the crew to give commentary on. First up is the Miami Heat vs the Milwaukee Bucks. Then you have a rematch of last year’s playoff battle between the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings which I think will be a good one.

There's still a bright light when they won games, but it's against not a tougher opponents. Now they were tested by the Nuggets without their best players, and guess what the result it, they have lost the game. For sure this is going to hurt them more.

It's really hard to have committed players that's why they should consider not always trading their players nowadays because they may end up like this and with their current state, there will be no doubt that they cannot get to the NBA playoffs with this kind of performance. The Clippers should consider fixing their plays and strengthening their chemistry because it is such a shame that they can't even win a game from a team that resting their star players,

Trade is a gamble, but there's a reason for the trade, and that is the hope to improve the team.

On paper, the Clippers, with four superstars on the team, already look unbeatable. However, right now, we haven't seen that expectation fulfilled, as the Clippers, while not a bad team since they have won some games, are just inconsistent. However, this is an ongoing experiment, and the season is still too early. There are many things that could change, so I don't blame the Clippers for deciding to trade multiple players just to acquire Harden, as they hope to secure their first championship.

Quote
what more if they meet up in the Playoffs in the first round?

Judging by the outcome of this game, the Clippers seem to have no chance. However, as I stated, it's still too early. There's still time to polish their lineup, and they could achieve the consistency they are looking for.

So as expected earlier, the San Antonio Spurs led by a rookie phenom has lost 12 straight games. Luckily for Wemby, it is not the worst, the longest losing streak on the Spurs' franchise was 16. At the moment, they are on a long rest which can re-energize them a lot. I guess their next game against Atlanta is crucial, they should win it and cut the streak while they're at home. Otherwise, I'll start betting again that they'll make history in their franchise since they're facing stronger opposition after their game with Atlanta.

I don't think anyone expects phenomenal results from the Spurs this regular season. It seems Coach Pop is still experimenting and trying to find the best way for the team's further development. By the way, it's worth noting that Victor's individual stats continue to improve. So, if he doesn't get injured, he could really become a team leader in the next few seasons.

Of course, we hope that he won't get injured, as he is rare in the NBA. There are lots of big men, but he is different because he can play both outside and inside. As for Victor, if he could improve and add some muscle, he'll become unstoppable. However, that does not guarantee him winning a championship, as even Giannis needed fellow stars to support him before they finally won a championship.

A star-studded Los Angeles Clippers defeated by a starless Denver Nuggets! WTF!

I was not able to watch the fourth quarter as I was busy doing something else but the whole 3 quarter was all Clippers and they ended it with an 11-point lead. When I came back, BOOM! they are defeated.
That was a freaking x5.60 if you bet before the start of the game. But who would risk that team without Jokic and Gordon on the field? I don't think that is wise and many sports bettors Clippers would win that game without any resistance.
Reggie Jackson punished them for letting him be open on three-point distance. 3/4 FG 3-point shots 15/19 total FG. I guess he knows how the Clippers work since it is his former team.
That was disgraceful in front of the Clippers fans. I lost my bet but that may be one of the biggest upsets in this season.

104-113.

Forget about the stats; it's just unacceptable that the Clippers lost that game. I mean, no Murray and Jokic, who are their best players, while the Clippers have all four of their superstars, and yet they lose to the undermanned Nuggets. To make it worse, the Clippers were playing at home. Man, there's no hope for this team; the experiment failed. Let's kill that optimism already.

And as what we have been criticizing the Clippers with the James Harden trade, not going to work with 4 superstars and then it looks like they are really trying their best to win games. But they don't play defense though, and this could be their downfall.

There's still a bright light when they won games, but it's against not a tougher opponents. Now they were tested by the Nuggets without their best players, and guess what the result it, they have lost the game. For sure this is going to hurt them more.

Maybe they should not blame this to the players but people need to see how there coach use his 4 stars. If he can't create a solution to make this team works then maybe they need a new coach that can manage them well. Clippers have 4 stars in the team and there's no reason for them to experience such embarrassing defeats.

Westbrook already adopt his role but still they are struggling so I bet there's problem with the coach or the system used since they don't click well as a team. If Clippers will not go to playoffs then provably they will be a huge team upset in history since imagine they have this stars which still in their prime but they can't manage to win.

Like what in the post above you mentioned a star-less Denver managed to beat
the home team is composed of an all-star squad!

Things are really not working well and it was a big disappointment losing at home with that kind of margins,
showing carelessness and nothing is really going well for the whole team.

Sorry for those who think that it will be an easy game for the home team and for sure
if there's someone at risk for ML, they are really enjoying it.

Paul George has one of the worst game in his career as a Clipper here, 6 points? WTF is that kind of performance? It was only Kawhi who really wanted to win in this game but unfortunately, the help is not there. And after the hype on Mann, he also got 5 points?

So their big 4 didn't produce any good numbers here, Harden and WB also has a minimal contribution.

On the other hand, the Sixers just demolished the Lakers and won big, Lakers even didn't get to century mark. They were beaten by a huge 46 points. It was a total mismatch between this two teams.

The Bucks just pulled off a nice comeback win over the Trail Blazers. They were down by 13 entering the fourth quarter but it was no problem for Dame and the squad to outscore the Trail Blazers 33 to 14 in the final quarter to secure the win. Giannis was no slouch either, as him and Dame both scored more than 30 points each.

It was now a great tandem it seems that the constant training with each other paid off you can now see the coordination of Damian with the other players it has some progress but yeah his position with the team can truly progress if he constantly moves the ball to the other team and make team plays but there are many ball hugging that is happening when it comes to Dame time, but it truly progress a little but there is a needed improvement for sure, because he is working with a team that is good with the right kind of team play,

No Durant and the Suns are still winning the game currently. Gordon and Booker seem to be holding it down so far. Knicks better get someone besides Brunson going or they're not gonna have a chance in this game.

I like it when a certain team doesn't need all of their main pieces to win a game and this is also not an easy feat for the Phoenix Suns because the New York Knicks now is not a pushover team and it is likely that the Phoenix Suns is having a hard time against them as the game was a close one 3 points and the game will be a tie, and the Suns doesn't have any stamina to continue the game any further, that means Jalen Brunson with the help of Immanuel Quickley could easily take the rhythm towards the game and could win this game,

LeBron continues to break records; that's him, and he is truly deserving to be called the king, although not yet the GOAT, and may never replace MJ as the greatest of all time. I know LeBron will have more seasons in the NBA, and whatever he achieves, I think it might take centuries before it is surpassed.

With his age right now and still breaking records and breaking teams for sure and even though the Los Angeles Lakers keep on losing every game the Lakers still are profiting with Lebron James is on the team and for sure they are still readying for the team to enter the play-offs even if they fall down in a lower seed, this is what I am seeing just like last season, as the Los Angeles Laker and even the Miami Heat have done something like this,

Sixers won against the OKC, and Joel just bully himself against the young Chet in the paint in the very first possession of the game and it shows that they are going to capitalized on it and that's what they did. But the kid can't be deny, he is really playing very good basketball and so him and Wemby are going to fight it hard for the ROY award.
Currently I consider Chet Holmgren as the Rookie of the Year. The hype around Wemby is just that hype. Chet is consistently performing well and significantly contributing to the Thunder. When comparing the performance of their respective teams the Thunder with Chet Holmgrem is outperforming Wembenyama's team. The stats speak for themselves; at this moment Chet Holmgren is far different to Wembenyama.

I don't know why they put Chet Holmgren as a rookie this year because he is part of the 2022-2023 draft pick with Paolo Banchero and he won that award last year. Maybe they are giving him a chance because he didn't play last year at all.
Ben Simmons and Blake Griffin are examples of players who were drafted but didn't play the same year because of an injury. Later they got the Rookie of the Year award.
It's the same with Holmgren since he didn't play for the regular season last year when he got drafted, so basically, he's still eligible to compete for that Rookie of the Year since this season is what they considered his rookie season.

As for Wemby and Chet, I guess Coach Pop doesn't care about the Rookie award, but he cares about the future of the team. He knows that he will not win the title this season thus, they are doing everything to get a high draft pick for next year. I just watched it on Youtube, and it seems like it is what is happening right now. He's constantly using Sochan as their starting Point Guard even though he wasn't built for that position. Experimenting, and at the same time, trying to be at the lowest point possible to get a higher draft pick. Coach Pop knows that Wembanyama alone can't win a title, and he needs another young, and talented player that will support him. I guess Wembanyama knows this as well, and he don't even care about the ROY award, but he cares about the future of the team.

I just saw an interesting fact. Tonight LeBron James is going to pass Kareem for the most career minutes played in NBA history. A pretty huge accomplishment.
I will wait for the news saying that "Lebron James passed the 40,000 points. The first one in NBA history." Well, a pretty good achievement for him, and it's an achievement that probably no one can break.

No televised games today but we do have a couple interesting ones. The two worst teams in the league are facing off to see who the absolute worst team in the league is. The Detroit Pistons and the Washington Wizards are both 2-14… I think Detroit likely has an edge with this matchup though because Jordan Poole has been playing so streaky…
You're wrong. The Wizards won. Tongue
The battle of 2 teams who currently have the longest losing streak (before the game). I don't know, but it's kind of funny to see 2 teams who have the longest losing streak playing with each other. I mean they're trying to end their losing streak. Cheesy

Anyway, Wizards won behind Kuzma's 32-point almost triple-double performance. I feel bad for the Pistons right now because they've been at the bottom spot for many years already, and even though they changed their coach already, they can't still find a way to be a better team. Now they're at the bottom spot again, and currently on a 14-game losing streak. I will not be surprised if they will end up winning less than 10 this season just because of how they're playing right now. Remembering the 2012 Charlotte Bobcats in the past where they only won 7 games. Cheesy They're on the road to break that record.

Impressive Jazz team, they gave the Pels 2 losses on the same venue, Jazz playing without one of their main star but still manage to win. it's good for the Jazz as they were in a losing streak on road games, now they are coming back with a back to back win against the Pels, this should help them rebuild their chemistry so they can stay competitive despite a team aren't expected to make it to the playoffs.

Great ball movement was the recipe for this win as they have 7 digits in double figures, including JC of course but he wasn't carrying the team a lot like in the past.

JC only scored 16 points but it's enough since they have a good team effort.

I also watched the game, also had a small bet on the Pelicans.
How they can lose 2 times against a bad team missing their best player is beyond my understanding.

Especially the last quarter was so weak. They could have won this game easy but bad shot selection and blew my bet away, haha. Always crazy to see teams with FAR better talent lose against mediocre team. Losing 1 time can be a coincidence but losing back to back is just weak.

I would say Chet "could" be the rookie of the year, but I never liked giving the rookie of the year award to non-rookie players just because they were missing games. I think it was Ben Simmons who got it like on year three, that was really not good, maybe it was Embiid, not sure. All in all, Chet had more time with an NBA team, even when injured he was taken care of by an NBA team doctors, and trainers, and that is much better than some kid from France could ever get, dude was getting basically just "the best we got" situation there and he was still lacking.

All in all, Wemby still has time to turn this around, he is doing fine, he is not too far away, and if he could go on a rampage for a few games, he could do great. We have already seen him get close to 40 points before, so it is not really impossible for him to do that. Plus, getting rookie of the year has great benefits for your next contract, and that could be very profitable for him, so he would be more inclined to get it.

Yeah I think it was Simmons that won over Donovan Mitchell when he was in his 2nd season after being hurt in the first.
Chet didn't play 1 game last year so he is still elidigble.

You could say it's kind of unfair since he was able to train under NBA conditions but he was also in physical rehab for quite a while.
Wemby had the superstar treatment and good training conditions + professional games for a while now, so I think there are quite even in that regard.
For the moment Chet is definitely in front, they have simliar numbers in production but Chet has the much better shooting % as of now.

It's undeniable that Chet's stats are getting better than Wemby's, but he also has to earn the trust of the fans, and the media needs to hype his name so he'll beat Wemby in the popularity contest.

I like that this season we don't have a unanimous winner for the ROY. I mean, Wemby started strong, but Chet came along with stable and consistent performance to finally get the attention of the fans. If Wemby didn't struggle, like his team did, I guess Chet wouldn't be in the conversation now.
