Nah, Twolves versus Mavs is the best in the West Christmas special.
That rivalry of them is so good to watch and I like how competitive both teams are.
I’d love to see that matchup again. The Timberwolves will likely try to avenge their playoff loss, but Dallas will be a different team now with Klay Thompson being part of the roster, though it's unclear if Irving will be back since he was reportedly injured months ago. Still, it’s sure to be an exciting game and a great Christmas gift for NBA fans. Hopefully no more injury to happen with Dallas.
A neighbor asked me today what would happen to the first five of the Dallas Mavericks after acquiring Klay Thompson, and it also got me thinking. First, I told him that an open spot already happened since they didn't sign Derrick Jones Jr. again. That spot will be for Klay. The Mavs actually got weaker on the defensive end but they are a glass cannon now which could also be scary.
Every player is an offensive threat who can shoot threes or attack the paint, the floor will be spacious and Luka Doncic can do his magic either in assists or score in the painted area.
Last year Coach Kidd already benched Tim Hardaway Jr. who was traded for Quentin Grimes, but the point is he won't think twice about benching players who would not play well.
Yes, hopefully no more injuries but the good part is, their bench got deeper with Dinwiddie, Grimes, Kessler Edwards, and Naji Marshall. They actually have a good defensive bench and that's to cover the weakness of their offensive teammates. Coach Kidd will have a lot of homework to do on how he will rotate them.
