I don't know if Paul George has anything to worry about just yet, at least not more than he's had to worry about with the LA Clippers in the last few years, right ? I saw Tyrese Maxey's interview edition on the Podcast P show, and it was all merry and good vibes only talking about how much and easy it was with play with Joel Embiid and how many version of Joel Embiid there is with the 76ers, I don't want to believe that's just coming from Maxey, simply because he's an absolutely always happy guy, and I don't think I've ever caught even on court with a negative energy or wrinkle on his face, so coming from him, it's only natural to have nothing but positive comments on how easy it will be for Paul George to settle right into rhythm at Philly.

Honestly, I doubt that the 76ers can contend for a title in the upcoming regular season. Even if Paul George finds the right rhythm with his new team and the George-Embiid duo performs well, it will hardly be enough to compete with teams like the Celtics and Bucks in the playoffs.

I wouldn't count the Bucks in anymore, as they struggled significantly last season and were in decline even after Lillard came in, especially with a new coach. I think the real challenge for the 76ers is the Boston Celtics. If the 76ers can face them in the ECF, I believe they have a chance of beating the defending champions. However, Embiid's health is crucial; without him, things will remain the same, even with PG already on board with the team.

as we can see here, 76ers are mostly at the top 3 in the NBA futures.

continuation on the link.
Lol, Nate MacMillan is also a former basketball player with the Seattle Supersonic, same with Scott Brooks. But I do agree, with that so much coaching experience around him, JJ Reddick might really bring the Los Angeles Lakers this season.

And this news:

https://x.com/ShamsCharania/status/1820847540876558639

So the Warriors are not going to get him after a lot of talks, there are reports that the Warriors doesn't want to include Brandin Podziemski in the mix.

Wow! This is big. They had been talking about this for a long time and I think it's going to materialize now. Lauri Markannen will be a great addition to the Lakers team as they need more young legs with great skills. Lauri can shoot anywhere and I think he will be great paired with Lebron since he is going to learn more about basketball, especially in this early stage of his career.
Lauri, AD, Lebron = LAL. The Lakers will again be fun to watch with so many talents on their roster. I just wish their shooting guards would also do great this season as their frontcourt will be filled with strong players if Lauri is signed.

Shams is reporting that the Golden State Warriors are looking to add another player to their team to fill the Klay Thompson void. They’re apparently targeting a player like Zach LaVine or Brandon Ingram. I think LaVine would be a Jordan Poole like addition and BI would be like a KD. Sadly, they’d probably need both in order to put them back in the race for a chip.
If they could get BI, it would be better than getting Zach LaVine since LaVine has been injury-prone. I believe LaVine is more talented, but the Warriors already have a lot of talent and need a player who can contribute, especially during the playoffs. We'll have to wait and see how this develops, as the Warriors really need to add a valuable piece to the team to still be considered a championship contender.

I don't know if there's something to feel sorry about trading Poole on other team since we see how he's performance totally decline on Wizards also show a bad performance like he's not a team player and its like Wizard got a hard time to tame him. But maybe if he improve this season and try to listen and play good together with his team maybe everything will change.

Also provably that they have big plans for Podziemski since he also show some great potential to became more better. I also guess that they don't have a chance to get Markkanen since for sure they Jazz don't want to trade him since he is so useful for their team. I still guess that even though they didn't get their target still warriors is in good shape with their current roster since somehow they get great additions which provably can help them to get more better run compare to their last season performance.

I agree to that, for sure they've got something to provide for their fans, they added players who can help them up and still got those stars who can lead them with Steph and Draymond, we will wait if what coach Kerr is planning in this upcoming season, the offense is your defense system might not work anymore as taller players with skills and speed that can catch up might give them a hard time, as they  need to address that adjustments inside, as big men like Embiid and Jokic might take advantage of their inside defense.

But a few seasons ago they let go of Jordan Poole and they get CP3? Doesn't make sense for them to keep Podz. No offense he could be a great player, but what are the Warriors management seeing in him?

He can't be the next Klay obviously, but I'm not sure what roles he will be on the Warriors for this season and they better be right on keeping him as the risk is high for them not getting someone to help Steph.

TNT isn’t going to buy out Charles Barkley and let him retire or allow him to move to any NBA on Amazon show without them being compensated. This means it is possible Charles Barkley could end up being an on air personality for NHL games, but more likely I think it’s a move to get Amazon or someone else to pay them to take Chuck.

That's probably some of what went into the decision.  Having goberylt and wemby already do they really need 3 centers.  Would be funny to see who would be listed as small.forward on that team if all 3 were on the court lol.  They would get ran off the court with that team.  I get it individually tye are good defensively but how do they cover faster smaller forwards like taytum?
One of the will be on the bench to rotate, when Wemby and Gobert plays, Embiid sits, and when Wemby and Embiid plays then Gobert sits and when Embiid and Gobert plays then Wemby sits. That would be the case there is no doubt, you can't put all three of them on the floor at the same time, it just doesn't work at all.

However, that's too late anyway, Embiid decided to just go with the USA, don't know how he was capable of selecting USA to be fair, it doesn't feel right to me and seems like there is something wrong to be able to let someone pick any team they want after such an old age, players like Giannis makes sense because they grow up there and that's the right thing to do, he became a basketball player there, Greece deserves to get him.

But USA didn't make Embiid who he is, he got there too late and he didn't learn basketball there, he was too old when he declared for USA, which was literally this year basically. I feel like this "pick the best you can" thing could hurt other teams even more in the future. What if Doncic decided to pick USA? He knew he was good from young age, he could have just decided not to go to national team, and then pick USA when he goes there, what if Jokic did? We should have some more serious laws around this.

I just want to point out these two veteran former head coaches because I like the way they are building it. Somehow the young players of the Lakers will show some respect considering these are veteran coaches around them. JJ Redick is young and it's actually better to have veteran coaches around him. Good thinking by the Lakers' management. This move might do them good.

Well, it's the right decision by the Lakers management. Assistants with experience can be very helpful to them. At least JJ's adaptation as a head coach will be easier with them because they will help him avoid some mistakes in coaching.
p.s.
It's funny that next season, the head coach of the Lakers will be the same age as the player (Lebron). I don't remember anything like that in the NBA before.

Just goes to show how incredible it is that Lebron is still playing in the NBA and at such a high level.  Dwayne Wade has been commentating for the US Mens Olympic basketball team and he mentioned something about feeling bad that he was doing color commentating meanwhile Lebron (his old teammate and one of his best friends) was still on the court balling out at high level.  It truly is crazy, but makes me feel good that someone is still playing at that type of level and is the same age as me lol.

So for the Knicks fans, do you think that Randle deserves this huge contract? And isn't it the Knicks could be over the salary cap in the next coming years as they have Brunson as well being paid handsomely and I think he is now the new leader of the Knicks?

They played so great in the playoffs without Randle, of course it will be good if he was there, but not sure what will be the outcome of that series.
It's up for the Knicks to answer that and evaluate him if ever he's going to be worth with the team. And what if he's there during the playoffs, maybe they'll be able to reach farther than what they've made.

A huge contract with a four years tied on him is going to be securing for Randle but that's the question that only Knicks will answer.

Let's see what happens this Saturday if there will be another contract or offer for him or they'd stick to that amount.
Yeah, but based on numbers, he is putting solid since he become a Knicks and so that could be the management is looking, on how they think Randle will play after his injuries. Still solid NYK team if he is back, we have Jalen Brunson and the rest knows how to contributed although they have lost Isaiah Hartenstein. But I still see the when Randle is healthy, he is going to lead the team in the playoffs again. He is a All star if I'm not mistaken, but we all know that if a players is injured and nursing some injuries, their performance are going to be affected. So let's give Randle another run in the Knicks uniform and take back his leadership or at least the alpha of the team.
NYK is a good team and they're building from those players that have the potential and then let someone stay on them if they can see the help that they can gain from those.

It's true that players when get injuries, that affects their contribution to the team and as well as possibility of getting new contract on them. As the value they have decreases depending on how healthy they are.

That's why those 4-5 years contract and locking hundreds of millions are good deals already whether you're from the starting five or you're the 6th man.

And when their careers start to drop low, those numbers and contracts will also decrease just as what we've seen with Westbrook.

Somehow it made me think that the negative approach made by fans for people in USA affect him. Since imagine every time he receive the ball he also receive BO's coming from fans. I guess he was hurt mentally since he didn't expect that this will be the outcome of his decision to play in USA.

We see him dominating in NBA but I guess the criticism hurt his ego so much that's why maybe he's total performance has been affected by this situation happening.

But let see if there would be a changes will happen when season open since Embiid still a good caliber player maybe he just been out of shape due to mental challenges also there's a lot of stars playing in their team.

Speaking of Embiid though, have you noticed that he is getting booed by the fans whenever he touches the ball? Not sure way he is beating boo'ed or what, most probably they think that he didn't go and represent his country Cameroon in basketball?

Embiid also has French citizenship. So, it's no surprise that fans at the Olympics in France booed him a bit for his decision to play for the US team instead of the French team. In principle, Embiid's decision is quite understandable because he wants to win the Olympics, and it's obvious that he can only do it with the US team, not with the French team.

Oh yeah, I totally forget it, so it's probably this case that he was booed by the French people because of it. But it's seems that he is enjoying it though and he could have been used to it playing in the NBA.

They are going to face a light team in the quarter finals, against Brazil, so for sure team USA could go in the semi finals and waiting for either Serbia or Australia.

I'm not sure about the case of Lauri Markkanen going into the Warriors. Perhaps they are still in the negotiations, the reason I open this up again because it's trending on X again.

I wondered when the new season would start and saw that it was October 22. There are still more than 2 months though. I assume friendly games wouldn't start earlier than September.

USA have been enjoying their time in the Olympics though.  Smiley  It is such an easy work for them with all these NBA stars of course. They don't care about FIBA this much. We don't see most of these players there. But they always give a big importance to the Olympics. I'm already adding a gold medal for them as there is no other team to stop them. There is Canada which also has NBA players but still they are not as powerful as USA.
Right, they will have exhibition matches prior to the opening of games in October. And so it was a good gauge as well to see those rookies playing again, but this time against NBA players. But they will have to be very careful as well, if we could remember, Chet had a bad fall during those exhibitions and then we though that it was just sprain but it turn to be worst that we though as he didn't play the whole season. As for the Olympics, yeah, team USA and team Canada are enjoying the competitions and most likely going to face each other in the finals.
