LeBron is 2 points away from getting 40 tonight against the Warriors as we are down to the wire.

Luka was interviewed tonight and said he expects to make his Debut on Monday at home in Crypto.com Arena against the Utah Jazz. It was being speculated he would debut on Saturday but it looks like that’s not in the cards.

Edit: LeBron got it and became the second player to score 40 over the age of 40 (Michael Jordan).

Good, perhaps this is one of the most anticipated games this year if he will debut on Monday with the Lakers uniform and see how him and Lebron will combine against the Jazz. It seems though that this news have settled down already as the trade is already close if I'm not mistaken.

I'm not surprised though by the record of Lebron, statistically, I think he will be in every record books with how long he has been in the league. And probably those statistician will have to invent another record just for Lebron here.

The Los Angeles Clippers are trading Terance Mann and Bones Hyland to the Atlanta Hawks for Bogdan Bogdanovic and three second-round picks.

Mann, just signed on 3-year, $47M extension with the Clippers last year. So it was really a surprised from the Clippers to trade him as he was also a excellent player for them. Although the offer was too good to refuse with three second-round picks.

And talking about the Hawks, they traded De'Andre Hunter to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Caris LeVert, Georges Niang, three second-round picks and two swaps. So it's obvious that the Hawks are not rebuilding.

Bogdanovic is an amazing player and a great shooter and i think he can play really good for the clippers but still i dont see clippers going far because they just dont have the superstars like other teams. Atlanta also looking like their team will colapse with this kind of trades. Probobly trying to make a team in the upcoming years.
Yes, they are going to rebuild that's for sure as they have traded their starting five already. Although the players that they are getting are just the same but most likely banking on that second round picks, maybe they can find someone in the next draft or so. For the Thunder, they just solidify,

Quote
The Oklahoma City Thunder are converting two-way guard Ajay Mitchell to a two-year, $6 million contract, agents Todd Ramasar and Mike Simonetta of Life Sports Agency told ESPN. Mitchell, the No. 38 pick in the 2024 Draft, has played a vital rotation role for the 40-9 Thunder.

Good to see that he has been offered a good contract, a lower pick but he is a solid role player for them.

The Brooklyn Nets are reportedly working on a buyout agreement with Ben Simmons. After not being able to find anyone willing to trade anything for him, they’re now willing to pay to cut ties. Supposedly the Los Angeles Clippers and Cleveland Cavaliers are interested in signing him, but I’m not sure what he adds to any team.
They could've done it a few years ago when everybody knows it already that Simmons' career in NBA is over. I mean ever since what happened with him when he's still in the Sixers, there's nothing good that happened to him anymore. Nets' head coach even removed him from the rotation because of how liable he is especially in offense.

As for LA and Cleveland trying to get him, I also don't know what he can give to both teams either. Cleveland is doing pretty good right now with its current roster, and Clippers are now fine as well. It's a good decision for the Nets to buy him and out so that they will have more cap space coming the off-season and they will try to sign other players, or they might tank yet again.

Whatever the case is, this is a good decision from the Nets management. In the past few years, they've been doing bad trades here and there, and I hope they can recover from these mistakes that they've done.

I feel bad for those bad trades and players like Dennis Schroder. Being passed on from here and there is tiring and disappointing. I've read some articles that he's announced his retirement. Is it for real?

He called the trade deadline as modern day slavery.

Well, this might be what he's getting for telling that. He's heading to the Pistons but I can't comprehend if he's retiring or not or those sources tell real thing.

Homestly i can see him start to get blackballed for that type of comment.  Dude is making millions of dollars playing a game.  The fans that come to watch them play literally grind jist for enough scratch to go see them play and he is complaining he might have to change cities and teams lol. I know he really didmt mean anything too crazy but thats a dumb statement to make.  If he retires because he has to switch teams then peace out.

Not sure either.  One thing to note if any team is in the first salary cap apron they cant sign any buyout who was making more than 12.8mil (or around there dont know exact numbers).  With simmons making almost 40mil this year no teams in the apron can sign him.  Take the knicks for example, they cant sign him, not that id want them to.

Lakers already acquired Mark Williams from Hornets for Dalton Knecht
While Mark Williams could really fill the gap for AD but I am feeling that letting go of Dalton Knecht is not worth it for them. Well, what's done is done and he's going now to the Hornets and maybe he'd capitalize his talent there. And with all of these trades, look at PJ Tucker, he's traded and went to several teams within just 5 days.  Grin

We really don't know how good Dalton will be in the future, but the Lakers are willing to take that risk for now. So still a win win for them as they got a good big man and then who knows, maybe Dalton will thrive on other teams and take advantage of his shooting,

https://x.com/ShamsCharania/status/1887567753298559006

So Nurkic will be the replacement of Mark Williams, but they are going to lose 2026 first-round pick to the Charlotte Hornets.

Dalton Knecht could indeed be a great asset in the future, but I think even for he could turnout to be a really young center like Mark Williams seem like a steal for the Lakers, I doubt the Hornets would have given up Williams for something not as promising, if not more. This move does help setup Lakers to compete now and while also building for the future at the same time.

The real winners of this trade season are hands down the Lakers. They suddenly have themselves quite a roster…

One would think the Lakers have had this all planned out for several month with how every bits and pieces seemed to have fall in place for them, the biggest loser in my opinion would be the Golden State Warriors, they literally lack direction and don't appear to know what they actually want, I don't think I'd consider Jimmy Butler an improvement for their roster with the fact that they lost Wiggins in the deal, all for Jimmy who didn't even want to join them to begin with and signed only a 2 year extension for a massive $121 million.

Lakers didn't even give up that much for their Center. While Mark Williams isn't really a big name, he is still a big dude and could cover the center position, and that is a good thing for them. And they just gave up players they do not really need.

Sure Knecth played decent this season so far, but he is not someone they can't play without, and they also gave up picks as well, which isn't really that important when you are so much focused on winning right now. They want to have Luka and Lberon win together, and some 2030 first round pick isn't going to help with that, we are talking about 5 years down the line, it is not really important. If they ever get a title, it would be totally worth losing their future over. Plus when they do finally see Lebron retire, they can get players from free agency anyways.

Dennis Schröder has been on 4 different NBA teams in the last 24 hours. That has to be some sort of record.

Golden State Warriors
Miami Heat
Utah Jazz
Detroit Pistons

I’m sure he’s breathing a sigh of relief now that the trade deadline has passed. The real winners of this trade season are hands down the Lakers. They suddenly have themselves quite a roster…

After losing Klay, the Warriors had already lost their former strength, especially with Curry and Green aging. The arrival of Jimmy Butler won't change much, but it was still a significant trade. The Warriors are no longer a contender and likely won't be for a long time. However, Butler could help them secure a play-off spot. On the other hand, Miami has moved on from him and can now focus on the future. I think the Heat is the winning side here.
I guess I have to agree because we can see the result. Look at the Warriors standings now—they even choked against the Jazz in their last game. They were leading by 10 points in the last three minutes but ended up losing the game.

The Warriors want to bring back Kevin Durant, but KD rejected the offer according to some rumors. The rumored trade scenario is that if the Warriors get KD, Jimmy Butler will go to the Phoenix Suns and Andrew Wiggins will stay with the Heat. The changes would be KD to the Warriors and Butler to the Suns. If this happens, for me I think the Suns lose the trade.

This is one of those trades thats good for both sides.  Jimmy obviously wasmt going to play in miami anymore.  Golden state is on its last legs of its run with steph and crew.  They still showed they can play with the like of okc.  This certainly will help them jimmy is a great player.  Miami got some pieces back amd now they can try to get better as well.  Of all the trades i think this was the most win/win situation for any of them.

The Lakers Mark Williams trade has the potential to be one of the biggest steals ever. Can’t wait to see the game on Saturday.

Brandon Ingram getting dealt for seemingly nothing is a bit of a surprise as well. I’m guessing they got tired of hearing him complain and wanted to move on.

Breaking news guys Warriors and Miami is finalizing their deal to trade Butler in exchange for Wiggins,Schroeder,Anderson and protected first round pick.

As per Shams Charania https://x.com/ShamsCharania/status/1887308975843979528?t=ozLHlF3a4RuyQMRPobXj-A&s=19

Article regarding on this news https://sports.yahoo.com/jimmy-butler-trade-heat-send-disgruntled-star-to-warriors-after-trade-demand-suspensions-011558383.html

Jimmy Butler acting like a bitch would scare me if I were the Warriors. Not sure I would have went forward with a trade to get a problem child. Sports teams in general need to show players that they do not control the league. Basketball is the most DIVA league out there.

Anyways, I hope Butler doesn't turn into an idiot for GS and Steph gets a real teammate that he is in dire need of currently. They need to get their asses in gear and start winning to get out of 10th in the west.

Wiggins is much better than Butler especially on crucial times. They give up even a 1st round pick just acquired Jimmy that is so inconsistent especially on playoffs.

I wonder if he gives a significant difference now on GS while they really need a good center instead of a Forward which Wiggins is already good now. Center is now the most crucial part of GS because they don’t have defense.

I don’t see this line-up getting any ring.
