According to the latest news I've read, there is only one team that Damian Lillard wants to be traded to now and that is the Miami Heat. (Shams Charania)

If this trade happens, it will be very good for the Miami Heat.
Do you think this trade will happen?
This rumor has been around during this trade war and I think it's very plausible that Dame will be out of Portland and likely to get on Heat.
That's the Heat is also rumored to offer a trade that's hard to decline just for Dame but we shall see the trade rumor happen within the next few days, maybe.

This is an anticipated event, and everyone is excited to know where Lillard will land. He has been a Blazer for his entire career, but now he has witnessed the limitations of the organization. Therefore, leaving the Blazers is timely, especially since Lillard is still healthy and capable of helping a team win a championship.
I've seen some tweets or posts that it's just about that he's wanting to increase his value and this is common. Getting the typical contract that he's got for his entire career, could be one reason for this potential trade. But that's just a thought in mind that's also possible. Anyway, whether he just really want a new environment and new team, that's on him and this is typical for players that wants to have something new and also wants to get a ring as well.

He's requesting for that trade whatever reason it's on him and all of our opinions are just speculations.

We are waiting for any update to what team he might be playing after this request. He's pointing that he wanted to play
for Miami, but for sure the offer or the trade negotiation will be on the management side, if Blazers will agree to Miami's
deal to get Lilard's service.

I think the organization will understand if they can't meet what Lillard needs or he wanted to have another team that will may bring him on what others trying to achieve, NBA championship. Just being real, the organization didn't give him the best players that would surround him and he give all his best to bring the franchise in its best. I think he'd gonna be traded but would likely not come cheap to what team he may landed.
And that's probably what he is looking around for his career, it's not complete and he still got years to stay in the league. While we know that there have been a lot of great players that despite being great, they have never took a ring.

Summer League has started and Chet played there. This time, hopefully he won't get an injury and let's see if this kid of OKC can stand when he's on the actual court. I want to see how he'd go and seeing two tall players, him and Wemby on the same court.

Dame wanting Heat is not really a "terrible" idea, the problem is that the assets Heat would have to give up would be hurting them. I am not saying that it would hurt them more than Dame helps, they would overall be a better team if you ask me, but in the end they will still be left with some empty spaces.

Giving away Herro for example is a mistake, not because he is a great player, of course he is not and any Heat fan would know that he is a sinkhole on defense and needs to work on that, and his Offense relies on shooting alone. However, with Dame on the floor, they will need players like him to stretch the floor. All in all, if Dame was a free agent, that would be simple, but right now it looks like it is not going to be easy decision at all.
His addition on heat can really be a big gamble to that team since they need to give up their good piece and might they lose huge contribution on bench so maybe they need to work this out on free agency and get those guys that can potentially help them if they really want to get Lillard into their team. This is really a big decision that they need to take since they already lose Vincent which and now they might lose more.
I do not care how much they would lose their bench players, if they can get some free agents for minimum and handle that part that would be enough. Right now, they are working towards making a third team, that way Heat would send players to third team, and Portland would send dame to heat, and the third team would pay picks to Portland instead.

So any team that wants players like herro or duncan or whatever, would end up with paying picks in the draft, and Portland would get the picks so they can rebuild after dame, and Heat would get the big trio. Right now, they already made 2 finals in the last 4 years if I am not wrong, and adding Dame to Butler and Adebayo would mean that they could actually be insanely well, making a team that is already good and finalists to even better team is rare and they should do it.

I don't buy that though.  What players on the Heat are gonna garner enough picks for Portland to let go of Dame?  Hero is about theor only piece that will get any ground on picks.  Duncan doesn't move the needle, he is a 5-10 minute a night guy on any contending team not named the Heat.

Of course it will be beneficial to Miami Heat, that is if Dame remains healthy throughout the season. In the beginning of last season, they are one of the best team until Dame got injured, and then it went downhill for them. Even if he comes back, it's kinda too late as they went deep in the standing.

And now that they've lost 2 of their players, Vincent and Struss, then they might need a guy that can help Bam and Jimmy in offense.

So Dame might be a good fight for them in the long run. Another MVP caliber player, downside is that he is now injury prone.

They retained Martin because they believe in his talent. Of course, the Heat could let Vincent and Struss go because they are expecting a high-profile player to join, most likely Dame. In fact, they are offloading some players just to accommodate him. They are taking a significant risk for Lillard, so it would be a mess if he were to get injured in case this trade would really happen.

Problem us Dame doesn't get to choose where he goes.  Portland has some nice young pieces in Sharpe and now scoot.  I'm sure they will want Dame to be happy but if another team offers a significantly better package then that's where he will go.  Same conversation was had last year with Donovan Mitchell.  He's a ny and openly said that's where he wanted to go and here we are with Mitchell on the cavs.  Miami is going to have to pony up if they want him that bad.

I believe the trade is likely to happen since Lillard has expressed his desire to leave the team. It wouldn't make sense for the Blazers to keep him if he wants to go elsewhere. They will likely engage in negotiations to find a trade deal that they consider fair. Currently, there are no other teams rumored to be involved in talks for Lillard, so it seems that he specifically wants to join the Heat. That's what we should believe for now.

The decision will still depends on Portland if they like to trade Lillard on his desired team since provably they will not agree to what he demand if they don't like the trade offers given by Heat. For sure Portland will find better players to add on their roster if Lillard will go since if they cannot get a good replacement their team will get heavily affected to the changes made in this free agency.

True, there are plenty of teams that would go after Lillard with a better offer, so it is highly unlikely that he will be traded to the Heat if there's a better offer, as the Trail Blazers management is always the one to be followed.

here's the article.

Damian Lillard trade destinations: Star wants Heat, but plenty of other teams have more to offer

Teams that are interested are.

Miami Heat
Brooklyn Nets
Philadelphia 76ers

Toronto Raptors

Portland side finds Miami's trade offers to be unsatisfactory and do not want a trade involving Tyler Herro.

Brooklyn wants to make a triple trade with Miami and Portland and send Ben Simmons off the team.

Obviously, if the Heat can keep those two guys and get Lillard, it would be a jackpot for them, and they could be called a title contender next season.
I don't know about hitting the "jackpot" when the deal is about giving up almost everyone. The Heat managed to stay up in the East the past couple of years because the team were kept intact so they're able to keep the chemistry. No doubt that Dame is still one of the top players in the league but there's a lot of pressure for the organization to achieve the same level or even greater success. They could end up trading him again if they get knocked out early in next season's playoffs.

Timberwolves agree to 5-year extension with Anthony Edwards
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/37953985/timberwolves-agree-5-year-extension-anthony-edwards
Quote
Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star guard Anthony Edwards has agreed to a five-year designated rookie maximum contract extension that could become worth $260 million, his agents, Bill Duffy and Joe Branch with WME Sports, told ESPN on Monday

Damn, that's high.
Well, he is worth it and really deserves the amount. Healthy kid, very agile, aggressive, can shoot, can dribble, high flyer, good defender, and he is the new face of their franchise instead of KAT.
From play-in tournament to entering the playoffs as number 8 to face the Denver Nuggets and busted in Game 5. It sure was a rough road for them but next year should be better. They should try avoiding locker room problems especially that Gobert versus Anderson fight. The higher their chemistry is, the better the team they could create.
Perhaps they should now give the leadership to the Ant-Man too and maybe they will be a better team with him leading the way. They actually have a strong roster, they just need that chemistry working out.

Ya… Definitely a big price tag but I think he’s more worthy of it than Lonzo Ball. The Timberwolves have been benefitting from Ant’s low salary for a while but that time is over now. He’s going to go from being the best deal on the league to getting a quarter billion. I’m still in shock at the numbers being thrown around now.

There are many rumors that Lillard's trade to the Heat is the likeliest outcome. As far as I know, the Heat is going to offer the Blazers almost the "entire" team, but at the same time, they want to keep Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo at all costs. Obviously, if the Heat can keep those two guys and get Lillard, it would be a jackpot for them, and they could be called a title contender next season.

It would also hurt the Portland Trailblazers so much, Damian Lillard is a one-man team for them, and if you would think about it if the Miami Heat would acquire Dame Time the Miami Heat will have a solid big three Bam Adebayo, Jimmy Butler, and Damian Lillard even though they will likely cut off the other players of the Miami Heat I think that is a very solid trade, but right now the Miami Heat lost Victor Oladipo is traded to the Thunders, Max Strus is traded to the Cleaveland, and Cody Zeller was traded to the New Orleans,

True, there are plenty of teams that would go after Lillard with a better offer, so it is highly unlikely that he will be traded to the Heat if there's a better offer, as the Trail Blazers management is always the one to be followed.

I recently posted this, but anyway, I never knew that the San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors also like to get their hands on Dame Time aswell, this is how much popular Damian Lillard is, despite not getting a ring he is surely an incredible player for sure, but for me I like him to go to the Miami Heat, he can possibly go with the Los Angeles Clippers and then the Clippers will eventually cutting off Kawhi Leonard for just showing off in a game whenever he likes it and never give a thing with practice,

Too bad for the Blazers that they are about to lose their prodigy, but as the game of basketball in the NBA, teams should also consider their player's dreams wherever they want to be. Liliard is such a huge asset and therefore, the Heat will be giving them a huge offer that could give them assurance for their team also. That's right, as what the latest news said, he doesn't have any plan to stay in the Blazers. Instead, he wanted to be traded to Miami Heat as soon as possible.  Let's see what it would be like to have Dame in Miami this time.

It's a significant amount, but he truly deserves that contract, just like other superstars such as LaMelo Ball, who has also enjoyed a sizable contract. However, Ball has been less active compared to Anthony Edwards, as he has experienced injuries that have caused him to miss a significant number of games. On the other hand, Edwards has been consistent and has even led his team to the playoffs.
