Those news articles that says Blazers will build a decent team around Dame are pretty amusing. It's a little too late for that now imo and it's just meant to bring his trade value up. It was already over when they split the duo but didn't really replace McCollum.

[.....]
Yeah, Jimmy Butler is not the ball hog type of player, actually during the Finals I can see him trying to avoid the ball to his hands. I don't know why but that seems questionable for a star player who can really score perimeter shots. Maybe, his confidence was really smashed when the Finals came.
I don't know about that. I listened to some of his interviews and he usually say something about trusting his teammates. I think that's what Pat Riley always tell him.

You guys need to remember that Draymond staying and being happy means good things for other players as well. If you do not accept what Draymond offers, and you just straight up reject his offer and not renew contracts with him, next season Steph Curry and Klay Thompson may not be as good as they have been so far, I am not saying they won't be, I am saying they may not be.

That is not just because Draymond knows the plays better than anyone and can pass right at the right time to help them score easier, which is a very good reason to begin with, but also this is the guy whey grew up with, almost been like what 10 years together? So when he leaves, they will be a bit upset about it, even if they understand it is business, they may still feel upset, and may play worse.

Of course, Green and the Splash Brothers have had great chemistry on the court for many seasons. However, even if Green is greedy and can't reach a re-signing agreement with Warriors management, it shouldn't affect Curry and Thompson's performance in any significant way. At least I think they'll be as good next season as they've ever been, and Paul will probably make their offense even better.

What a shame , Rui Hachimura will not play for Japan at the basketball world cup.
https://clutchpoints.com/lakers-news-rui-hachimura-drastic-decision-amid-looming-free-agency

We have tickets for the game versus Germany on 25th of August and was looking forward to see him. I mean we will cheer for Germany anyway but it would have been nice to see even more famous players.
But since he is going through free agency it's an understandable move, you don't want to get hurt!

At least Germany can rely on the Wagner brother, Dennis Schröder, Maxi Kleber and so on, so there will be some NBA flair.
Not just him that won't play for their respective countries but also the prodigy and top pick for the recent draft, Wemby.

Spurs' Victor Wembanyama to skip FIBAs to focus on rookie season

Not just that, a new adjustment is gonna happen since they'll be having Chris Paul. The chemistry that has been built with Dray, Klay and Steph is like a strong foundation.

But thanks to their management for putting up the trade first with Poole and then next is likely that if ever Dray have requested for something and the management can't give it, he has to go.

And it's going to be interesting how Jimmy will adjust and let Dame be the center of their offense if ever he goes to the Heat.

I don't see it as a problem with Jimmy because he has been on different teams where he wasn't the main scorer. So, I'm confident they will be a good fit. Jimmy, being a great defender, might also be able to help Lillard improve his defense. I hope this happens because having two reliable scorers on the team would contribute to the Heat's future success. Who knows, this could be the opportunity for Jimmy to win his first NBA championship alongside Lillard.

If ever Dame comes to Miami Heat it will actually be a good addition for them. What they badly need is a top scorer outside and without Tyler Herro it becomes a big hole for them.
But the question is will their salary cap be able to handle a high-priced player like Dame? This means they will have to give up the undrafted players who had been very helpful to them and so does Duncan Robinson if he is eligible for a trade.
Another question is, did the Trail Blazers really give up on Dame? I doubt that is the case. He is not just happy but he is still under contract so I guess he still needs their permission for a trade. Checking Spotrac, he is 2025 for UFA.

He's not selfish player like other stars so for sure he can share the ball with Lillard if he will go to Miami. For sure his main focus is to win and get a chip, other than that maybe there's a little issue but for sure it will be fix since the team chemistry has been proven already and might they will be a perfect blend with Lillard and they can make this as a better team. Miami is so hungry with championship so for sure he they do all what it takes just to get their own rings.

If they'll be able to develop a good chemistry, a strong bond as a friend,

Just like how Bam and Jimmy, if Dame will be able to adopt and fit himself the way these two stars are bonding together, for sure it will be a tough trio to beat up, all are a good threat when handling the ball but adding to that they are also good when playing decoy. More on chemistry blending if ever Dame manages to sign with the Heat.

Bam and Jimmy though has been playing for many years, so they were able to create that bond and chemistry along the way. There will always be a question of adoption for new players coming into a team.

But the thing with Dame is that he has so much experience already that he might blend immediately.

It's just sad that the Blazers although have a lot of picks, when they have Dame, never quit the lucky one to get good players and it was only CJ that is worth mentioning. Others they got as picks are either traded, or a bust.

Eventually, the Heat may form their own Big Three, although not a super team in my opinion, as Jimmy and Bam aren't as popular as the likes of LeBron and Wade, or LeBron and Irving from the past. However, fans would still be pleased with such a movement. Besides, it has been a while since the Heat last won a championship, which was during LeBron's time with the team.

I like to see that.....

The team is not hyped because they aren't expected to win a championship. However, they achieved high success last season by reaching the finals. It's just unfortunate that they weren't able to compete well against the Nuggets. Perhaps next season, they will be able to follow the same footsteps again with a new offensive player who could help them.

here's the fresh article.
Damian Lillard trade rumors: Trail Blazers 'remain committed to building a winner' around star guard, GM says

Of course, we can't fully trust this statement, as there is always the possibility of a change of plans, similar to what happened with the Warriors' new GM who initially stated they would keep Poole but eventually traded him.

Heat would benefit much from this addition. There is still time to build on their chemistry, which I don't think will be an issue considering how hungry these two are for a championship. They both require a strong contributor on their team. Jimmy would undoubtedly appreciate it. Because of the various trades that are already taking place, next season will be incredibly exciting.

They already have the necessary skills, so it's crucial for the chemistry to be formed. However, that is still far from happening, so we will have to wait for updates to see if Lillard would be able to join the Miami Heat. It would be a crucial move for both Lillard and the team, especially considering the Heat fell short in the last NBA Finals and were dominated. It's evident that there is a lot of room for improvement for the team.

I will remain hopeful that the Heat will improve, and if Lillard is the answer, then hopefully they will open doors for him.

Rumors are that Damian Lillard is not happy that the Trailblazers didn’t try and trade their pick to get him some win now help. He’s also basically stated that he wants to be in Miami with Bam and Jimmy. It seems like this is going to happen and probably going to happen this week. I still think the Beal trade is the big move so far though.

Damian Lillard and his manager Aaron Goodwin will meet with the team today to discuss the team's trajectory!

The Dame narrative is a tempest of speculation. The internet is flooded with contradictory tales - either he's sticking with the Blazers or scouting for greener pastures. Yet, no official word yet. As die-hard fans, we're biting our nails, bracing for the big reveal. Consider the Blazers' atmosphere: doesnt seem like the promised land for a championship chaser, does it? KD bolted from OKC for a better shot with the Warriors. Should Dame follow suit if his title track isn't clear in Portland?

Post-meeting, NBA Buzz hinted at the Blazers GM pledging to craft a winning roster around Dame. Hopeful, but remember, the NBA is a capricious beast. Honestly, Dame's future in Portland has me on tenterhooks.

Without a doubt he's gonna opt out if the Traileblazers aren't going to get him a good help. This is just another similar story of LeBron with the Cavs when they all let LeBron carry the whole squad without providing him with any legitimate teammates.

He maybe got pressured by fans to get a ring that's why he now thinking to go out on Blazers since he cannot get any if he stays as his team seems doesn't nor have capability to build a good rooster that can help them to be a title contender next season. Lillard prove so many things in Blazers and I guess that's enough already and its time for him to chase up some rings since its good to retire that you have at least one accumulated on your playing career.

Getting a ring? That's too much to expect, considering their team's poor defensive performance. It's unlikely that they will ever win a championship. The team hasn't shown much development, and despite being expected to make the playoffs, they missed out last season and even shut down Lillard early. It seems reasonable for him to leave or for the team to trade him because it's evident that Lillard doesn't fit with the Blazers when it comes to the goal of winning a championship.

We can't compare it though, at least Lebron promises that he will be back with the Cavs and that he will bring a championship. And it happen during the prime years of Lebron. As compare to Lillard who initially have a good supporting cast, but not enough and then they traded CJ and I think that is the end for Portland chances to even go playoffs.

Lillard and the Heat seems like they are having a mutual interest, besides Lillard could be the missing piece for Miami to become a dynasty in the East. We all have seen what the Heat are capable of, Lillard's addition will give them a boost.
There are also rumors that the Trailblazers are not willing to trade Lillard. Well, let's how this story turns out when Lillard shows no interest with the team anymore.
I also like it, not sure who going to be the trade bait for the Heat, but it could be Duncan Robinson and some future draft picks for the Trailblazers. And it's going to be interesting how Jimmy will adjust and let Dame be the center of their offense if ever he goes to the Heat.

So it's good if he will team up with Jimmy in Miami, at least he has a good chance to win a ring before he can retire.

He is still great but needed team mates to help him out, he can't do it alone as his body was been "war-torn" already and he has multiple injuries.
