Cleveland Cavaliers - Brooklyn Nets

Cleveland Cavaliers come to this game with 22 wins and 12 losses and in the last 10 games they managed to win in 7 games and only lost in just 3 games, but they lost against the Toronto Raptors in their last game, that made them wax the sequence of 5 consecutive victories that they had, while their opponent the Brooklyn Nets comes to this game with 21 victories and 12 defeats, being that in the last 10 games they had 9 victories and only one defeat, but the most surprising thing about them is that they has 8 consecutive wins, for me the Brooklyn Nets will win this game

Detroit Pistons - Los Angeles Clippers

Detroit Pistons comes into this game with 8 wins and 27 losses, and in the last 10 games they lost in 8 games and only won in 2 games, they are going through a bad moment where things only get worse, they have 5 consecutive defeats, while so your opponent the Los Angeles Clippers comes to this game with 19 wins and 15 losses and in the last 5 games they managed to win in 3 games and lost in 2 games, but the problem is that in their last game they lost, in my opinion this is a game where the Pistons who will be playing at home can win the game

Miami Heat - Minnesota Timberwolves

Miami Heat comes to this game with 16 wins and 17 losses, and in their last 10 games they won 5 games and lost in 5 games, they are a very inconsistent team, meanwhile their opponent the Minnesota Timberwolves comes to this game with 16 wins and 17 losses, and a performance similar to the Miami Heat, with the Minnesota Timberwolves also having 5 wins and 5 losses in the last 10 games, to be honest this is a very unpredictable game but the Minnesota Timberwolves can win this game

The Celtics and the Warriors are the favorites to win the championship this season.

The Celtics hold the top spot in the standings, and their current performance looks much better compared to the last regular season. So the Celtics can really be called the favorites of the championship, and it looks like they have a good chance to reach the finals again.
At the same time, I wouldn't call the Warriors the favorites this season. The Warriors are 11th in the Western Conference right now, and I guess they'll drop even lower in the standings as they've performed pretty mediocrely without Curry.

I do agree with this. The Celtics gets more impressive as time goes by and the experience they got last season gave the team a huge boost for which they needed to become what they are this season and honestly, I'm not surprised to see them standing at the top of both East and West conference while the defending champion are struggling to get on their feet without Chef Curry. Although, that's something expected especially now that they lack defensive players because they freed them before the season commenced.
Yes, Celtics keep getting better and better but we can't say the same for Warriors. Ok, Warriors lack some very very important parts, and at the same time, Celtics are having some prime career moments from some of their players. Boston Celtics star Tatum, who had a great game on nba christmas night. He made 41-7-7 but the way he "dominates" the game as he scored 41 was very impressive. That's why the so-called "prime period" of players exists; the ability to dominate and shape the game rather than athleticism or shooting ability. He was always very productive in the moments of leading the match and breaking the match. He was very calm in the positions he used in the last moments. He makes the right decisions for the most part. He has really reached a high level of efficiency in inefficient Kobe shots (remember the sophomore year was disastrous in this respect) and it is also very good to keep it in the pocket as a red button in case of emergency. Tatum was the player that impressed me the most in nba christmas 2022. (together with jokic) this year is already very good. He doesn't just score a lot, he plays right.

Some amazing dunks today. Not the most exciting Christmas matchups but Aaron Gordon and Ja Morant didn’t disappoint with the highlight real dunks. Ja missed his big one but Gordon managed to get above the rim quite a few times on the Suns. Reverse alley oops, dunking over people… He was a beast today. LeBron and Embiid didn’t have such bad days either.
Yeah, Aaron Gordon seems to change since he made chemistry with Nikola Jokic. He is now the backdoor cutter of him just like Gary Harris when he was still a Nuggets. They are pretty solid now with him protecting the rim and making offensive rebounds for a second-shot opportunity.
Plus, the assists of the Joker also keep on going up because of it. Triple-doubles per game will be easier for him now if Gordon keeps this up.

As for Lebron, he started hot on attacking the paint and no Mavs player can stop him. But aging really hurts, he was exhausted with that back-and-forth speed runs. Despite all that, he still made 38 points in his 17th Christmas game. Amazing.

That will only happen if Westbrook will get traded, they might benefit from the drama of the Chicago Bulls, and maybe Westbrook will be traded for Lavine or DeRozan, who knows, right? Davis, on the other hand, has only one problem, which is his inconsistency to stay healthy which is definitely not his fault, however, the faith of the Lakers every season heavily relied upon him.

It's really hard to trade Westbrook because of how he is currently playing and obviously he is not really effective for his team. If they can only put some effort into decreasing his worth a little, maybe the other teams will gonna gamble to acquire him and will gonna give them a decent offer that is hard to decline. The problem with the Lakers is, they think of Westbrook as an important asset that they can trade for the same price to the other team which really not going to work at all.

I'm starting to think that Westbrook might not get traded this season, not because the Lakers don't want him to but because of his current salary. The teams wouldn't want to waste some resources for a superstar that isn't playing like a superstar anymore and I forgot that the Westbrook's contract is until this season only, so I'm thinking that teams will just find him in the free agency where his salary is not high as well.

Ja Morant though, now becoming so brandish, but as you can see, they haven't proven anything yet and now he says in an interview that he is "fine" in the West, LMAO. They shouldn't talk trash when they can't back it up specially against the depending champion.
He is good because of his athleticism but he does not have the championship DNA like Curry and Thompson. He is still young though, there's plenty of time for him to prove that he should belong to the greatest players in the NBA once he retires, and until that time will happen, maybe he should not take too much, instead, do it in action and help improve his team, not himself alone.

Too early to say that he doesn't have the will to be a champion. Curry took at least 6 years before he earned his fame and the Warriors are lucky to have Klay, Draymond and Steph on the same team.
I know Ja receives a lot of hate because of his cockiness, but let's be honest here, the kid has talent and has the potential to lead a team to a championship, he just needs the time to mature his game. During this early phase of his career, he needs to establish a good brand to his name, and now that he earned it, I believe he'll level up his game to become a champion.

Yes, he was the one who requested for the trade, that's written in the article if we will read the details. James Harden is definitely not the main man in 76ers as they have Embiid, so maybe he miss his popularity in Houston because he is the sole superstar. I'm sure Harden learned a lot from the teams he got traded (Nets, 76ers), so he will be able to use that experience to have a big comeback with houston.

Right now, Houston is in rebuilding mode, they are building young superstars like Jallen Green and Porter Jr. so Harden will be stealing the spotlight from them.

Same thing I'm thinking,  he was very popular when he was Houston.  He really moss the popularity,  it is good to having mixed with the young stars that are in the team now..

Klay reserving one of his best game for Christmas against Memphis, hehehe.
Yes, because these two have a rivalry, they had a decent playoff series last season, maybe if Morant wasn't injured, the outcome could be different.

We love to see this kind of energy from the Warriors though, Thompson should lead the team if ever they will go on a winning streak this season without Steph Curry.

This two are bringing out the best out of them, according to Klay himself and it's good to see this kind of competition.

That's out of the question since they've just beaten one of the best contenders in the league and they should not forget GSW is the defending champion and they can still catch up once Steph will step on the court. Klay can be relied on if he continues to play like this one and of course, it would be always a great challenge for him and his teammates to not completely sink their team to the bottom until Steph will come back. Once they find their right rhythms on the court, I'm sure they will be able to give the other teams a real challenge to beat them every game without Stephen Curry.

I read from a sport platform that James harden is planning to return to Houston, this sounds great . When James harden was in Houston he was my favourite player because he plays so good. If  coming back to Houston is real it is a good news, Houston made James, it is good to have him back.

This article says the same.

James Harden Considering Return To Rockets In Free Agency

Maybe he is impressed with how the rockets are playing now, having him back will definitely improve the rockets as he would do some cooking. Fans would probably be happy if he will return, but is he the one who requested to be traded?

I loved watching them playing with great chemistry, however, I am a bit disappointed with their road record because it's now below my expectation. If they want to be in the playoffs, they should learn how to win on the road because that will help them in improving their record. The competition in the West is very tight, they cannot be inconsistent.

Curry will come back soon and they will play better, compared to the last season, they are complete now and does have a good big man which can help their weakness in the paint. Last season, the lakers used their great offensive skills to win, so I guess it still boils down to experienced and the coach of the team which the Warriors have the edge.

The expected return of Stephen Curry will be on January 16, I think the team is really using this time to get those new players to play more and to show what they can do and are capable of, and in the game against the Memphis Grizzlies Ty Jerome and Donte DiVincenzo made a remarkable play against the Grizzlies, and I really never expected something like this, it seems that the Memphis Grizzlies needs to push up their game even more,

That's for sure, but Curry has to be healthy in the playoffs, otherwise, they will not really make it to the NBA Finals. Their struggle in the regular season is nothing as long as they will be in the playoffs as that's where they can most comfortable, so good luck to the other teams and they should try to play better not only in the regular season but in the playoffs as well.

Good contenders in the West now IMO are the following teams.

1-Nuggets
2-Dallas
3-LA Clippers

I am not really worried about the Warriors they did something like this last season and skeptics still remain skeptical, of their performance, This performance with the Grizzlies is really something Jordan Poole didn't finish the match because he was out because of a technical foul in the midst of the 3rd quarter, but he has put 32 points for the game, remarkable enough was the double-double of Draymond Green of 13 rebounds and 13 assists and a deep 3 in the opening of the match, we can say that the 2nd unit of the Warriors was really solid aswell, and I really love their performance,

Good win by the Warriors at home, beating their rival Memphis at Chase center. Jordan Poole lead the Warriors until he was ejected with this second technical fouls. Klay Thompson seems to be very hot in this game, he even taunts Dillon Brooks.

Also, I only consider the Clippers a contender if Kawhi will be able to remain healthy in the playoffs. Otherwise, they are good for the second round. And even though GSW looks bad right now, I still consider them a contender. They are a different beast in the playoffs.

Of course, it will not be hard for the Clippers to reach the WCF if Leonard is healthy. This team is just underrated IMO, they have PG, Wall and Leonard, there big 3 are all scorers and as John Wall continues to blend well, they will become better and better approaching the playoffs.

Not sure about the Clippers, but yeah, it depends on the health of Kawhi and PG, very underrated team right now and maybe they can get over the second hump of the playoff. Remember last year it was just PG leading the team into the playoffs. But if a healthy Kawhi comes to show, that has the experienced already, then definitely they will be a good contender. The Warriors has that championship DNA built around them, just waiting for the Curry to get healthy and go on a run and reach the playoff.

Love the interview with Nikola Jokic asking him if he could pursue Aaron Gordon to join the slam dunk contest again. He should try.

The best game was in Denver, well that was expected but when Booker could not return to the game it changed my perspective.
And then, two Suns bench players stepped up their game. Landry Shamet (31 points 7/17 3-points, 6 assists) and Damion Lee (18 points, 4/5 3-points, 8 rebounds), these guys made the Nuggets suffer to claim a win at an easier path even without Booker.
But, Aaron Gordon also stepped up his game, Jamal Murray found his rhythm, and the Joker being his normal triple-double monster game.
Jokic set a record for the most points in a triple-double in Christmas franchise history. 41/15/15
Aaron Gordon doesn't dunk the way he used to, most people who dunk amazingly back in the day, become not so great players later on, like aaron gordon or blake griffin or westbrook. I know this is a sad thing to say, but the guy we all love and think as a big all-star name right now, Ja Morant, will be the same as well.

He looks great for not, but he will lose his hopes in 7-8 years and will become a boring player to watch eventually. Shooters keep staying good, rebounders too, passers too, but if all you do is jump super high and be athletic then you are going to lose that in no time and will become a player that is slow and useless.
