I saw the news about Dwight Howard is playing on the league in Taiwan. There's now a follow up news that a team there too, the GhostHawks are wanting to take Carmelo Anthony to their team.

So, it's very likely that he'll take the sign there and play for that league. I felt bad again for Melo when he's got stuck with no team want to take him just like the past seasons when he's on the same situation.

But hopefully, he gets to sign there and play against Dwight's team.

Carmelo isn't signing in that league.  If he doesn't get signed anywhere here he will just retire.  Most likely he gets picked up mid season.  His wife La La wouldn't live there she likes the LA/NY life.

Well, if there is no other option then playing in Taiwan is better than nothing. He is not that valuable anymore in this era of NBA basketball though he still has it. He can still be competitive coming from the bench.

He can showcase what he got in Taiwan, play basketball that he loves and earn a decent income.

If Howard and Carmelo becomes successful in Taiwan, it can be a trend for veteran NBA ballers that can't have a contract in NBA. The schedule there is not that hectic like NBA so even veterans can perform better there.

I'm not aware that he is recruiting Carmelo Anthony, but who knows.

And if I'm not mistaken, Dwight said that he is making a cool $1 million per year, so it's like he is still playing with the veterans minimum in the NBA. But what Howard like maybe is that he will be treated as the superstar in his team in Taiwan and it could bring back his confidence once again.

Maybe that will be the sales pitch of Howard for Carmelo, join him and play make money and become a superstar once again.

With what I've read, it's said that he's with contact with the team. Well, we just have to wait until it's officially signed or declined by any of the party.

But I'm sure that there are still a lot of his fans wanting him to see play and don't want him to retire. Anyway, whatever will be the outcome, I'm sure that most will support his decisions.

But whatever happens, we'll see how it's going to happen since there are too many rumors out there about trading AD. And why is it that most of those rumors are on him? LOL.
AD can give huge contribution to the team so most provably he is the one who want to have by a team that's why there are trade rumors always brought up on his name because unfortunately on lakers at the moment he has a clear value compare to Westbrook where many team avoid because of his bad performance show lately happen on him. But I guess lakers will not interested om this offer since even though AD is injury prone they can still use them and they just need to rehabilitate this big guy.
It's on the Lakers if they want a change but I also think that AD is a great asset to them and instead of him, they can trade the others that they think add no value to the team currently.
But to have that happen, there should really be letting go of one of the greats that they have so it's either AD or Westbrook. AD contributes really a lot and I can see that Westbrook is also doing the same, the lack of chemistry is what makes them not do well and trade rumors are after them.

Any Brooklyn fans in the house?!
KD fan, yes. Not the entire Brooklyn Nets though.  Grin

Later guys there will be another intense game.
Phoenix Suns vs Golden State Warriors.
After I saw they will be playing against each other again, I quickly checked the injury reports. Booker is neither listed nor Klay Thompson.
If you remember guys, these two players got into heated trash-talking last time they met. (October 26) That led to Thompson being thrown out of the game and having some final words with Booker and then the whole Warriors team getting frustrated.
This will absolutely be a fun game, revenge for Thompson. I will bet on his player props. 24.5 PRA.

I’d be shocked if LeBron was ever included in a trade and I think the league would be hesitant to let LeBron and KD be on the same team together, but it’s fun to think about.
That's good to imagine but if there's really a possibility and the Nets would be willing to do that, after all of those trade offers that the Nets have made before the start of the season and no team has been willing to take their offer.
I doubt that this is going to happen when the Lakers are already on the verge of losing more this season and might be out for the play offs. We will see the development on these rumors if they're going to be for real.

I'm also not seeing the two playing together, I mean the possibility is there, but it will take a lot lot of players from Lakers, not only Davis, and for this to happen they need another team inserted into the picture.

Of course, we all dream of seeing them together, there are even interviews by Durant saying that Lebron is the greatest player for him recently. And this maybe fuel the rumors of the two trying to make that duo in the picture but I highly doubt it for now.

Yeah, just like the previous offers that they've done. It's going to be the Nets that shall be the winner of this trade and they'll surely take other players from this possible trade.

Don't forget Dallas in the West. Luka Doncic is performing great again. Playing against Los Angeles Clippers which don't make much defense, he took advantage of the opportunities he got and scored 35 points. Dorian Finney-Smith also contributed good points this time. If the bench were a little stronger, Dallas would have a serious chance. They would be a good play-off team in their current form, but they need to develop a little more to make it to the final. Maybe a good trade or a player who will perform unexpectedly well should emerge. Actually the rotation isn't tight but they need a second player to appear while Doncic rest.

I think they are still stronger this year even if they lost Brunson to the Knicks.

Luka has another superb game and he has a lot of help coming from Finney-Smith. It's just the Clippers went on a comeback in the 3rd quarter and make this game very close. But when the crowd gets involved again, then Luka and the Mavs was awaken and really try to salvage the game and they win.

Tough close for the Clippers though, they have been in the losing skid and it John Wall is no longer looking like he is not on his prime or lost some steps already.

There are a lot of rumors surrouding Durant, there are even some rumors if him going to the Lakers in a trade with AD. But still, he seems to be enjoying his Nets stint without Kyrie at the side.
wow, is this a possibility? I confess I was totally out of touch lol

Hmm, I don't know, AD is a fundamental player (even though he's not in his prime)
If he is traded, the Lakers won't have a big player like him, after all who can replace him?

Although Durant and LeBron could make a nice duo (or even a trio with Westbrook lol)

I also don't know how Durant could fit into the Lakers, the team already has LeBron James, although, Durant could play (SF) and LeBron James (PF), it could be an opportunity
Well, it is a "possibility" in the sense that it does happen with trading rules, like the salaries and all that, it could be matched and found a good way to do it. But the reality is that AD and Durant are two different type of players and I really do not think that they would be fine with playing for each others teams.

AD would hate playing in the Nets, because of all the turmoil and not something he can handle psychologically and would be terrible for him, and it would be very hard for Durant to play with Lebron and Westbrook, I mean Lebron could be handled, but him going back to playing with Westbrook would be a very tough sell, they do not like each other all that much.

Lebron James wouldn't want to miss a game for him to break that record, but he missed the Jazz game on November 5, and he misses another Jazz game on November 8, he missed the Sacramento Kings game on Nov 12, and misses the Brooklyn Nets game that was on Nov 14, well Lebron James right now is really prone to injuries, so it is very understandable but in getting that record for him he needs to keep on averaging 40 to 50 points per game if he keeps on missing an interval of games,

Of course, it's not good that LeBron is missing a lot of games right now because of his injury. However, I don't think injuries will stop him from breaking Kareem's record since it's unlikely he'll miss most of the season because of it. Besides, it's still the beginning of the regular season, and LeBron has 69 more games to reach his goal, which means he only needs to score an average of 16-17 points per game, not 40-50 points.

snip

Yes, it's possible and there's a rumor of LeBron going to Phoenix Suns which I think may be a good deal for them and to CP3 to be able to play alongside him. I don't think they'll have that chemistry for a trio if KD will be traded there but I doubt if they'll play alongside with each other.

I do not know if this setup will be successful. First, instead of going younger, getting Lebron together with CP3 gets the team age older. CP3 and Lebron are now getting injuries prone so that will leave Durant playing most of the time. This team composition is good for the tickets but will not win a championship. And what will happen to Booker and Ayton? I think the Suns are building their future on them which I think is better than getting old Lebron and Durant on the team.

Not gonna happen because the Lakers can't meet to any demands that the Nets would want in-exchange for Kevin Durant, surely Anthony Davis alone won't suffice in that trade as the Nets may want to receive more, including first round picks. But if ever the Lakers would risk anything to get Durant then that would be a hefty mistake that they will be paying for a couple of years because it's been proven that a team won't work if there's too many star players, they cannot be mixed.

Lakers era might be on the verge of ending and same goes with LeBron unfortunately Sad. Maybe he has 1 more year on a full scale but after that , he will be in a decline as age won't forgive him either. It's like in every sport , we are starting to enter in a new era , with fresh players and the one we grew up with , they are getting older .. so I do hope we will see a "last dance" story from Lakers and LeBron.

There's been no Lakers era, to begin with for several seasons already. Prior to the arrival of LeBron, the Lakers are already always out of the playoffs discussion and it was just when Lebron came that they experienced again being in a playoff. Maybe after LeBron hits that biggest milestone of becoming the Top 1 NBA All-Time Points Leader, he might just play relaxed now as nothing to prove now on his career while still making more money.

Although surely, he really does want to be in the Finals again but that would be tough.

Yes, it is clear that he still want to join the Finals again but with their current situation, but that thought might just remain a thought as of now because they are still struggling to win regular games, so it's evident that they cannot even reach the play-offs or even play-in tournament with that kind of play they had. There's still a long way for them before thinking about the playoffs nor Finals, but they still have a chance to improve and solve their problems because the season have just commenced.

How about the Sacramento Kings last night putting on a show and running up 153 points on KD and the Nets? Highest scoring total of the year so far. The Kings have been looking pretty good lately.
