I'm an avid fan of MPBL and following the league since then.
It's really no doubt gaining popularity since their inception but guys, don't make it a big hype to the point that it might replace PBA. It won't happen, believe me, even if it will be backed by strong companies. The tickets here are being given free in most cases that's why we always see a jampacked crowd at every game. If there's a price, the ticket price is really cheap.
If MPBL games will be held in some big arenas like Smart Araneta or MOA Arena, etc. expect only a few live audiences and won't bother to spend money on purchasing tickets. And surely a worst to expect if we talk about having a game in PH Arena.
Soon over, when MPBL will almost reach the popularity of PBA, hitting revenues the same as PBA, the same politics we do see in PBA will also rise here especially since there are now big companies involved in the league. See what will happen next? The cycle will just repeat.
PBA still has lots of fans especially Ginebra fans that can fill big venues without a doubt. They just need to clean those
sh*ts and open the possibility of expansion without being influenced by giant companies like San Miguel.
