Jonathan Simmons is an explosive import but Hudson got more support from the locals so i think NLEX will be having a hard time winning this game, as of this writing TNT is up 11 points but still a lot of time remaining, 16 minutes to play to be exact and i'm taking now NLEX +9.5 @1.76. Hope Simmons will continue to explode in the fourth and make this a close one.

Congratulations, that 4th quarter big run give you a win, not only that they cover that +9.5  but they win the game. they only need one quarter to beat the TNT because TNT has been dominating the 1st 3 quarters, nice game it was a very close one but the import of TNT has become predictable in the 4th quarter.

That huge 4th quarter run of NLEX changes the directions of the game, I'm pretty sure most are shock especially those who pick TNT's handicap, I don't expect that with that rally there's no time out that take place, not sure what happen with TNT's squad allowing NLEX to cut that decent lead and snatch this game away from them.

TNT is one of those team who are good in protecting decent lead, like what you mentioned the import become predictable and
NLEX take that advantage to rally back and complete the win..

2- TNT 1.52 Road Warriors 2.36
If anybody aside from me took the risk and put the bet on the Road Warriors then congratulations to all of us. Smiley They won by only 2 points against the TNT katropa 110-108

TNT is leading in the 42 minutes of the whole game and NLEX only lead by 6 minutes. Going into halftime, the TNT lead by only 7 points, but Simmons scored the first 14 points of the Road Warriors and carried his team until the end. He ended up with 45 points and 12 rebounds. Well, as expected for an ex-NBA player that played a huge role when he is in the Spurs.

It's a very close match that the game has a chance to went into overtime if only Pogoy hit that close range shot. Anyway, NLEX won that match already and the final game for Simmons will be on the 4th of February against the Phoenix which is currently winless still. In addition to that, the Road Warriors find another import replacement for Simmons already and that is Wayne Selden Jr . Another ex-NBA player again. NLEX really has some money to hire those ex-NBA imports don't they? Cheesy

TNT and NLEX are now playing, I had TNT -3 in this game, it's the battle of undefeated teams but I believe TNT is the better team, so let's see if this bet will win.  Smiley TNT is now controlling the game as they have better executions compared to NLEX, also it's a high scoring game, so over will likely hit easily.

According to the commentator, the import of NLEX promised to bring all the wins in his 4 games contract, can he help the NLEX  beat a good team like TNT? It's a close game now as despite TNT getting good leads, NLEX is still there coming back and staying competitive.

The 1st half shooting of TNT is over 50%, NLEX has to improve their defense in the 2nd half.

That's right, TNT's import is playing with high confidence as he can trust his local teammates. Everyone for the TNT are contributing, and they are getting good looks because of their great ball movement. This game is far from over though but TNT is having a huge lead already, so good luck to the NLEX on the last quarter.

Any news on Berto Bolick guys? Have read that his stint in Taiwan will materialized as NorthPort and him can't agree in a contract.
I saw on a Facebook post that Bollick might have a short stint on Taiwan as his contract in NorthPort expiring soon. Snow Badua predicted that he might be Japan-bounded, but it seems like Taiwan is the next destination for him. If he will go there, he will see the 2 big centers Howard and Sim Bhullar there. Cheesy

Good place for him to land is in Japan since he can showcase his talent their, but still its also good if he will be on taiwan because for sure the experience he can get from those big guys and also the other imports accumulate by taiwanese league. Since if he decide to stay for sure he maybe place on bench because SMB and MVP group has a lot of talents.
T-1 league in Taiwan is an emerging basketball league and it's becoming more popular as more ex-NBA players are playing there. Howard is the first ex-NBA player that played in T-1 league under the Leopards and there might be more ex-NBA players that might go and play there. Those players who unfortunately didn't get any contract in the NBA will prefer playing overseas like in China where Tacko Fall is playing or in Japan maybe or in Taiwan.

Overall, seeing a PH player playing outside our country is always a good thing. After all, he will never win a title if he is on NorthPort right? Cheesy

Exactly this is why its really better for him to play overseas since in PBA to many teams are already been saturated by good players and talents like Bollick might not excel if he remains on North Port or even if he will be acquired on those big teams. He might good career outside plus he can earn more competitive salary compare to what PBA can offer to him.

Really good to see players playing outside the country since its like they are carrying the flag of the country and show that they have exceptional talents to bring on more bigger leagues.

SMB will play again tomorrow, it's their 2nd game in this conference.

They'll be playing the Bossing, while in the 2nd game, it's the battle of NLEX vs TNT Tropang Giga.

1- Blackwater 5.40 vs SMB 1.12
2- TNT 1.52 Road Warriors 2.36

I think it's good to risk on the Road Warriors as they are still undefeated now, their import is also playing an impressive game, so who knows?
On the first game, I will also pick SMB on that one though the odds are not attractive anymore.
On the second game, it's hard to pick which of them will win since both teams are playing well on their last 2 games. I might choose NLEX on this one probably because the import of NLEX is more dominant than the import of TNT plus the fact that he's also an ex-NBA player makes that odds more attractive to me. I'll bet on NLEX. Smiley

Parlay the underdogs, hehe.. That's probably what I'm gonna do as Blackwater is not winless this season, so they have a little chance to beat the SMB. In a parlay bet, you will get 12.74, just for fun you know, maybe $10 would do for that certain parlay.

If you are willing to take that kind of risk then so be it, SMB might be a strong favorite but we know how PBA works there are something that we can't avoid, unexpected losses are not new to this league, if luck will permits you then the winning stake is so sweet, as long as you are okay with the amount that you are throwing then there's nothing to worry, all for the sake of fun and for testing your luck!

Good luck Kabayan! you never know what's waiting ahead,.

I don't want to be pessimistic but Converge is just in the usual trend, winning in the early games of the elimination then get suddenly kicked out of the playoffs by SMC or MVP teams but still i'm hoping that it will not be the way this time around and it is good for us bettors since games in the PBA will be unpredictable and underdog teams can win anytime.
Last season, I was surprised that MVP teams didn't even clinched into the playoffs. That's the first time it happened in the whole history of MVP teams.

That maybe a sign that something is changing. That might be a sign that some independent teams might be capable of competing against these 2 giant franchises like what Converge is doing right now. I'm not that optimistic at all since we've seen numerous seasons already that it has always been SMC and MVP competing in the playoffs, but just maybe. Maybe we see a bit of changes in the league this conference. We don't know, but I'm hoping that they'll break the trend this season.

They can't control the game for regular season because they know if they manipulate the game maybe the league might put in shame since for sure the guest team will say something about what they experience in the league. And since they go to finals and SMP group is the lucky winner to reach this far then they let all things set because they also see a huge demand on this match up.

They struggle with choosing an import, and I think some of the players are injured so they are not in full force. Hopefully this team they will be healthy, and as we can see on their import, it looks like he is a great import that could really help the team and able to play with chemistry to the locals.

Good choice for him rather than signing with the SMB, he will get a good salary better than the others but it's still very low compared to the contract he'll have playing overseas.

Too early to tell, we haven't seen them all play yet. It is a biased opinion because the Gin won the last conference. There is a different set of imports at this conference.  At least let them play half their matches first.

Yes, it's too early to tell. The import stats on the Eliminations is playing a big role in getting that award and not just a team won a championship.

Even the Converge import is qualified if he will maintain that level of playing the whole conference.

Speaking of Ginebra, they are likely to play now next week after a good long rest.

The import has the freedom to take that last shot, but if I were the coach, I would have design another play, I mean, when the import takes the last shot, that's way predictable, they should have give that to Paul Lee as he has a high 3 point percentage, and he is also a clutch player as well.

He could have passed the ball to Paul Lee under the basket to force an OT but I guess the import is the best player on the court, so it is his duty to take the shot.

Not because he is the best player, he should be the one taking the last shot. It should still be the play that will be followed, if it was not a game plan, then for sure that does not help them and if the import does not follow the game plan, even how good he is, he will be a problem in the long run. IMO, despite seeing lots of great import lately, I still believe that Brownlee will win the Best Import Award again.

But they did follow the plan. They switched him to a smaller defender. Paul Lee was just an option since he got free for a split second under the basket. Either way, it is not a bad decision to take the shot. He is the best player of Magnolia on the court and who would you rather take the last shot? It is just their first game and they can still improve a lot in the conference.

Converged improved in both ends, they are a good challenger last year but they failed to move up to the semis, right now they keep showing good improvements and they are really doing well in building good chemistry, the import is being well supported by the locals and that's one of the good thing, they are not relying they are working as one.

On the other end, Mags' next assignment is another great team. TNT might have some internal issue, but I'm sure they are all pro and they can work it out.
I'm shock to see Converge on the top of the standing but the way they played the game, they prove that they deserve to be on that spot.
They are more consistent now but its too early to say because for sure no teams here are safe from any losses.
Magnolia vs TNT will be another exciting game, I expect for Magnolia to bounce back but with TNT I think it will not be an easy game for them, they have to play their best strategy here and avoid the lose ball.
Probably other teams are can’t still get over from the holidays and the last conference, too early to celebrate for Converge and better not to focus on their current standing and just do their best one game at a time. They had a lucky win against Magnolia so technically others team are not going easy as well, every game is a hard game. Magnolia on the other hand will surely bounce back because that’s a top team as well and they have good players to rely on.

Unfortunately but this is true. Converge like their last conference playoffs, is kicking in the eliminations but when playoffs come, they will be eliminated by top teams. The good thing here is, we are seeing an independent team that is really serious about winning compare to other independent or fam teams.

Coach Ayo really did a great job enhancing this team and still continuing to improve the Converge team. Who knows that maybe this time, they can get at least to the Finals. A great achievement for this new team if that's happened. For betting, it's good to consider betting on this team during this elimination even against SMC or MVP teams.
