Betting odds are out, we have a very intriguing betting spread in game 2.

SMB -4.5
TNT +4.5

It looks like it's screaming that we should take the TNT, with that, it convince me more that SMB will win in game 2, not only they'll win but I'm seeing an easy cover on the spread.

Game 2, SMB should now try to maintain their lead if ever they will repeat again putting TNT behind a big lead so that no more close call encounters at the end.

They led as much as 15 points but they allow TNT to advance that result for the latter to win that game.

Everyone should now move on. As JMF said, "if that was counted, then it's counted, move on." I also noticed that JMF perimeter shooting skills are impressive in that Game. Hard to defend more if he is both dangerous in the shaded area and perimeter zone.

A classic JMF, he just shot smoothly and converts.I love to see more from him he really played well but the defense collapse in the 2nd half allowing Poguy to make those conversions, and yes, regarding to that last shot it was counted so nothing can be done but to move forward and try to win the game and tie these series.

I would love to see both teams to adjust and make a blowout. I'm really a biased fan, so I would like to see SMB to make that huge lead

again and make sure to maintain it, then win with huge margins.

Of course, if PBA is rigged, then they will find a way to make it a long series, and we are going to take advantage of that. hehe..

I don't have a cash now, but I'm thinking of borrowing at least 30k which I will pay in less than a week.

My plan is, I will put 10k in game 2, if it wins, I will pay the loan and take the profit, if not, I will bet the remaining 20k in game 3, and just hope SMB will win. Do you think it's a good idea?

In the first place, this is not a good idea if you ask me because shit happen anytime. We always says, gamble only what you can afford to lose and those money which are not compromised hehe, not a wise gambling if you ask me but it's your money so it's you call.

Back to your plan, we can only refer to Meralco vs SMB wherein SMB has not lose twice or thrice in a row so this plan/gamble of yours may be a good idea if sh_t don't intervene and if i'll be the one doing this i won't watch the game live as i might threw something on the television if the refs call is not favoring the Beermen hehe.

Good luck on your plan, it has a more than 50 percent chance of hitting the objective.

SMB knows that they can defeat TNT. They just fell short in the final 1.6 seconds. I'm curious on how the SMB will adjust to it or they will just focus on what they are doing which is spreading the offense and not focusing only on JMF like what they used to do years ago.

SMB should also not stay confident. That kills them. Despite the fact that TNT's Mikey Williams is not in his usual beast mode and Poy Erram is struggling against June Mar Fajardo and Mo Tautaa, TNT still managed to overcome their large deficit.

SMB focusing their offense on JMF is really effective as he is really unstoppable. However, that makes JMF's stamina more used as he also focuses on the defense side where lots of TNT players can attack the paint that easily. Without him, TNT can just attack the paint without much a problem.

We will see what adjustment they are going to make. In my opinion,  they have no problem inside the paint, defensive or offensive wise. They have problems controlling the guards of TNT though. M. Williams, Pugoy and Castro are out playing the guards of san miguel. I am interested to see how Coach Leo will adjust their defense to limit those 3.

Last game, SMB took advantage when Castro was out and build up huge lead. But when he returned in the 2nd half, the lead began to crumble and they eventually lost.

That's a good thing if you're an SMB fan that Mikey Williams isn't on his actual self where he will just score 20 points every game. Maybe the Magnolia exposed him in the Semi-Finals and now SMB knows how to defend him, but TNT still has more offensive weapons like Pogoy, Castro and even Khobuntin off the bench.

We saw how JMF scored in Game 1. 24 points with 11/12 FG shooting. He can still dominate the paint, and it's a good thing that he is shooting in the perimeter as well aside from near the ring, which makes him harder to defend if you're the opponent. Nevertheless, focusing on him offensively will not work any more like how they are doing years ago. It's the TNT that they are facing with, and for sure they know how to counter that one. They still have Mo though if JMF is in the bench, and he is a good defender as well and faster in transition defense.

Game 2 on Wednesday.

Do you have Plan B just in case you will lose those bets? Obviously, your plan is not a good idea as you are taking chances there.

But if you have Plan B where you can cover the loan even losing your bet, then your money, your decision. Although it will be a painful loss.

Even for let's say officiating will favor a certain team to win, we still don't know who will win at the end. Both teams are serious winning. The officiating can't control the flow of the ball and can't just dictate what should happen.

Despite of the performance of TNT, I agree that SMB will not go into a position of 3-0 here and this one is a good strategy if you really want to win some though of course there's still a risk and we can't really know. I'm waiting as well for the odds, this can be interesting especially if TNT will be the favorite team to win in game 2.

SMB should do better in the next game and should practice how to take care of their lead and to stay compose despite of the pressure giving to them by their opponent. TNT should also not be complacent here, game 1 is quiet a game test for both teams, probably the upcoming games will be more exciting.

Of course, if PBA is rigged, then they will find a way to make it a long series, and we are going to take advantage of that. hehe..

Borrowing money and use it in gambling is very risky, but if you have the money to repay that loan even if you lose then I think it can be worth the risk but don’t over confident with SMB. Personally I won’t take such loan even if I know a good team will win, you can just place a small bet and just enjoy the game, this is my way of gambling so it’s really depend on you.

Yeah, that's why I thought that game 1 is already theirs upon seeing the first half of the game. But they weren't able to maintain that lead and the TNT reached and eventually led the score.

Everyone should now move on. As JMF said, "if that was counted, then it's counted, move on." I also noticed that JMF perimeter shooting skills are impressive in that Game. Hard to defend more if he is both dangerous in the shaded area and perimeter zone.
On Wednesday when game 2 starts, that's for sure going to be forgotten as the focus of everyone will go with game 2. Well, just focus on the upcoming games and forget about that buzzer-beater. The SMB isn't even protesting for that loss.

Okay, I hope you guys are done discussing what happened in game 1.

Let's now move on to game 2, it will be on Wednesday, so there's plenty of time for SMB to review the tape and determine what their mistakes on why they let their big lead melt in the 2nd half. I'm sure SMB will still remain as the favorite in game 2, and I don't mind because I'm backing them to even the series.

Though I like to bet now but there's no odds available yet, it will only start offering tomorrow evening, so make sure you ready your bets for tomorrow, put on SMB to win, if they will still lose, double it in game 3, no way they will be 3-0 in the series.  Smiley

Though I'm a big fan of SMB and I believe that they can win a game against TNT but shit can happen and we don't know when it will come to your way, but strategy wise, I'll go with you if I have that same chance to barrow that good amount of money, if you win in game 2 10K is good enough to start your chased for more from this series.

Paying the loan right away is a wise decision, you can work with 10K and start trying your luck but if things go sideways, 3 straight losses might not happen else, SMB will put themselves to a risky situation far for possibilities in winning the title.

We are not talking about moving on here, we are talking about the controversial winning shot of Castro. For some it's counted, while for others it's not, just like what I'm saying, the official decision was it's counted, but you cannot eliminate the speculation that some people think the officials made a mistake here.

Popular comments I read disagreeing with the officials' decision was, in 1.8 seconds Castro was able to dribble the ball twice and then pull up to shot, they believe the time is too short in order to execute it.

Fans will always make it controversial whenever it is a close call. They never lose, they only got cheated.

If you want this to be controversial, show a photo where the red backlight is on and the ball is still in Castro's hand.

And it is not 1.8 seconds, it is 1.6 seconds and it is doable. You can even see this kind of play in amateur/collegiate basketball, so it is not impossible to be done in PBA in a finals game.

I said move on because there is nothing you can change in there. You can never reverse time or reverse the ref's call. You can only throw shades that are only detrimental to the league.

Officially it went it, but you cannot blame some fans who think that it should not be counted.

ctto

That one looks not counted, but if you look at the video, it's very close, it's hard to tell, I think the PBA officials are too quick to conclude, they should have made a look several times before making a final judgment.
You can see that the board is not yet in red light. Yes it is zero but the board not yet in red. And if you review the video, it is really hard to determine.

The rule in PBA is "When it is inconclusive, the first call stands" and the first call was it is a basket. So it is counted.

Mind you, I am an SMB fan and I accept that they lost Game 1. Fans should move on too. It is just the first game and SMB has shown that they can have a big lead against TNT, only if they can protect it. SMB will adjust in Game 2 for sure, that is what I want to see. They can dominate TNT, with just a little adjustment.

^I'm also a fan of SMB and when I saw that the referee count it in, I admit the defeat of SMB and move on and look for the next game. Yeah, probably those who are really a die hard fan of SMB has making the rounds, but the call is already final and nothing can be done to change the ruling. The best thing to do for SMB is just move on with the lost and look forward for a game 2 win and just be positive and make the necessary adjustments.

especially that controversial clutch shot by Jayson Castro that seals the win. Anyway, the result can't be changed. As long as we see a close game like that where refs are not ruining the game, at least, it's more entertaining to watch.
Only the fans are making it complicated, the shot gets in and that's the reality that can't alter the game's 1 result. People should move on to that shot.
It's a buzzer beater and that's not the only buzzer-beater shot that we've seen in our lives. Fans just really have to stop arguing and making it a big thing because it's really counted.

He's already in the air and even the timer says zero, it has to ring the bell as it still has milliseconds to consider. And that's why the basket is counted and that decision won't be changed.
SMB has just to do well on their game 2 and let's see if they'll still choke by that game or they won't allow the lead of theirs to be caught up by the TNT.
