Great news for us, though we already know that they will resume in the 2nd week of this month but that official news is important for us to stop speculating. Good opening games.

we have Bolts vs Warriors, and in the 2nd game hotshots vs TNT.
My pick would be the NLEX and TNT.

It's hard to decide on this matchup as these are top teams now. As per standing, 3 of the teams are in the top 3 (https://pba.ph/standings), TNT does not have a good start but they are still a good team, so I think I will back the TNT here as they will catch up here so I think they'll win.
Coming from that long rest, maybe I'll try to go with live betting instead. I need to see if what adjustments are being taken by each team. For sure they were going to bring us entertaining games, players are also excited to bring something for their fans, it will be a nice opening game, though it's just my own opinion still unsure if that's going to happen or maybe I' just expecting too much after the postponement of those games.. Still, I'm waiting for the Blackwater's first victory. Can they can get it this season? Will the streak continues until next season? Will the Bossing have any adjustments with regards to their roster? These are some of the questions that I'm still waiting to get answered. I will be happy if they will get even only 1 win this season but on the other hand, it would be better if they will continue their streak (sarcasm) Cheesy.

Will Rey Suerte be the lucky charm for the Blackwater Bossings?

I think they can get one win this season with their import and the new acquisitions, Suerte and Escoto as some of the low tier teams were also struggling like the Dyip and ROS.

I don't know him because I don't follow games other than PBA, but the name itself means "lucky", lol, so maybe he will be the lucky charm of the team. Blackwater has continued to struggle, they are probably in their longest losing streak and I think they already made a history on their current losing status.

In other words, everyone has to move forward with the issue no matter how they hated what happened. Coach Chot is not dumb not to know the best thing to do in order to improve our national team. He knows what to do but just has a problem how to execute it and for sure it's already on the process of solving it on his mind.

Criticizing him won't help. For now, let's give the chance. Complaints will be later on if he's still fit or not leading out National Team.

Complains won't help and for sure if the Nationals perform well while coach Chot handled the team, there are lots of hypocrites that will congratulate him. Oh, please stop that kind of mindset! Roll Eyes like what I have said from my previous reply, our team will represent our flag better to support whoever wears the uniform and whoever driving the team.

It will help to boost their morale knowing that the whole nations are all in supporting and cheer for the host team.

Anyone here knows the full story on why coach Tab was fired or why he stepped down?

As per the articles I read, he stepped down because he wants to focus his coaching on the Ateneo Blue Eagles, but we never know what's happening inside, there must be a deeper reason than that as in the first place, he was hired to coach the Gilas Pilipinas and his coaching job with Ateneo just came after.

The safest way to and answer is to have a good reason with the same job to fill in. We never know what's the real reason is why coach Tab steps down and gives up the spot. We are all speculating and relying on what the news provides us. As of now, we should all focus on how coach Chot will handle the National. It's the country's pride whoever represents the team also represents our flag.

Enough with that issue, the SBP has already decided and they take coach Chot as the new coach, maybe his successful return really helped him to convince that he is the best option if coach Tab will step down. Let's just support whoever they choose to coach the team, for sure Coach Chot can handle the job as he has done this before.

This.
There really is nothing we can do right now. Actions and decisions have been made already and whoever is the one assigned to lead Gilas, we just have to support him.
Thus, there is some other coaching staff that's being added to this lineup that will surely help Coach Chot in decision making. We just wish them all the best despite the preparation isn't that long.
No more choice but to accept that decision, many hates Chot and that could be a big challenge for the players to remain good so they can meet the expectation of many. I have to agree that they don’t have enough time to practice as a team but let’s hope that they still have the momentum even if there’s a delay on PBA games. I’m counting on many players in Gilas, i believe the can still be good.

In fairness to Coach Chot, he knows already the drill playing in the international league. Coach Tab is a big loss but I'm sure some development made by him will be continued by Coach Chot like including young guns as part of the Gilas roster.

We need to give our heartwarming support to them instead of lots of "what if" that the current changes in the Gilas are a fail one.

Yes, I saw the hate on Chot. But let's just wish the man all the best. Since Coach Tab Baldwin has stepped down, there's no one that's next for being better that could catch this task that has been left behind.

And there's nothing we can do now as it was now officially changed.

What we need to do is support the national team regardless of who's in starting from players to coach.

A big boost is what they need and that will come from big support from the local community.

Do you guys see the post of Quinito Henson?

It's about players taking offers or considering to play abroad. Not the before players but those who are still paid by the teams since 2020 even there are no games for long where other people have no job during the pandemic.

At some point, he has a point but career is a career.

They're professionals and many of them want to be part to play for Gilas, for the country. And I'm sure they just don't mind and think of the hate because it's not really needed any space for them to think.

Yeah, he's been preserved for that to avoid injuries. That's the only threat that he has, to play safely while showing the full that he can. Avoiding as much as injuries as he can but this is a contact, a physical sport and that's really unavoidable.
Anyway, Gilas will be taking some TNT players and that will result to another delay.

With coach Chot Reyes calling the shots for Gilas Pilipinas, i think taking the TNT core players is the best way to go as the familiarity is already there. Kai Sotto won't suit up for this window as he have some business at that time that needs to be finished in Australia. Have read that Dwight Ramos and AJ Edu will join Gilas so it's not all TNT players at all.
Well, that's always been his coaching strategy. Unlike Coach Tab Baldwin, he has a cadet system but later on, he just left it and sadly there's no talk from him right on. Yeah, it's not a whole TNT roster but still with the cadets and other players that are eligible to join the team.

Anyone here knows the full story on why coach Tab was fired or why he stepped down?
Still not sure what's the reason for it. Well, I've seen a headline that says that MVP said that it's everyone's fault including him that should be blamed.

Coaches will always go to their top players first before anything else so there’s a huge possibility that TNT players will have a good spot on Gilas. Well I’ve heard Coach Tab are involve on forcing players to leave Gilas, I’m not sure about this rumor but its very unfortunate not to see him again on Gilas since he did a great job, I just hope that younger Gilas will have their best time again for Gilas.
That’s just a rumor probably trying to hurt the reputation of Coach Tab, well let’s not speculate negative things here and let’s just respect the decision of the committee and Coach Tab, better to focus now with Coach Reyes again. I also criticized Coach Reyes before and I’m in shock to see him again with Gilas, looks like we don’t have any choices anymore well let’s hope for the best with Gilas.
