So will JB still wins the best import award this time?

It depends. Right now based on stats, KJ McDaniels is currently the best import. The reason is, he is the main scorer at NLEX compared to Justin Brownlee that receives lots of support and good backed-up teammates. Best Imports are based on stats regardless of where the team ended up in the competition.

Brownlee is still performing good numbers and no doubt why he is being considered as the best imports for many years so let’s see if he can get the championship for his team since this governors cup are quiet different, many surprises with other teams are also happening that makes it more exciting.

What do you mean by many years? He has only 1 award for being the Best Import of the Conference but has 4 championships with Ginebra. That was his contribution and impact to Ginebra.

Why not? If he can bring the same intensity the last time he won the best import award, I would not doubt his chance this time. Though they are not the number 1 team right now the conference is still a few games away before the elimination and that's where the real challenge start, and in that situation, we will know who is the best import.

I'm checking now the boxscore but my connection is still unstable that I could not load the data from the site. I like to see the contribution of Justin Brownlee, his total points is the most important, anyone here knows?
The data says 31 pts, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. While his playing time is 48:47. Games on 22 will be Blackwater versus Alaska Aces, well, I guess everyone's going to be easy on this and will bet for Aces. While for the next match, it will be TnT and Meralco bolts.
Now, I'm interested where people are going to place their bets for the second match.
Thank you for that mate, actually until now I still cannot load that particular data. I like his contribution to the team, he could have made a triple double if he tried to do stat padding. On the next game, I think we should not change our hearts, go with Ginebra as they'll continue winning for sure.

No doubt about that, if they will continue to push the chance of winning is high, Brownlee is really contributing not just in his scoring but he is an all-around player who can really lift the spirit of everyone, and with the fans cheering for them, the heart of every players are really pumping and soaring high. Manila classico is a much awaited game for the fans, not sure though if that same old fashion way will take place as there're restrictions that needed to be followed inside the coliseum..

I'm definitely gonna watch that game, I may not be able to be in the venue but watching live streaming is already enough to get that excitement. Brownlee has never shown some weakness, I mean he still contributes the same despite not playing for years with the PBA, and in fact, he has improved this time winning close games for the Ginebra San Miguel.

So will JB still wins the best import award this time?

While with sister company TNT against Meralco, my heart is telling me to go with TNT ML...
I'll go for Magnolia plus points as I'm sure they will be the underdog.

Let's wait for the betting odds to be available, it's too early to talk about the odds, the game is on Wednesday so most likely the odds will be available by that day or the evening of Tuesday. But, I agree with what you said, Magnolia will surely be the underdog here, but we are not sure if how big the handicap is, if it's only +3.5, would you still take it?

Meanwhile, we have Phoenix vs Ginebra now, it's a close game, now tied at 102 with few minute left in the 4th quarter.
let's watch this game together.

The game went to OT but Ginebra manage to win the game because they have JB who made things possible. With that win, Ginebra is now ranked next to NLEX with 3-0 record, so this is really fun because big teams were having a good start at the expect of bad teams like NP and Blackwater Elite.

Ginebra is starting strong. They are now at second spot, the next will be against Magnolia who also has a good start.
While NLEX will be playing against the Fuel master.

You are right about this upcoming event. Aces has a much upper deck to win. It's now the handicap that gambler will look when betting in this match.

Best of luck guys... Wink

Another great good match for Ginebra, Magnolia is also a strong team with an undefeated record, so we will surely see a close game like the game of the Ginebra against the Phoenix, and I also expect a win by Ginebra here.

LA Tenorio also contributes to that as he's the one who makes that overtime shot. Not just Justin Brownlee too but Christian Standhardinger and Arvin Tolentino are also both good performers in that game. Brownlee is just being highlighted since he's the import. Don't say that win is possible because of him as there are teammates who also contribute well. I watched the game live and Ginebra quite struggles to win.

I like how Coach Tim gave more minutes to Tolentino. He performed well in their previous games. He scored 20 points in 24 minutes of playing against Phoenix last night. What if he was given 30 minutes of playing time per game, he might average more points too.

Coach Tim as we know him, he will developed players according to how he project the potentials. We have seen him way back from the aces, remember Cariaso and Duremdes both are young but when he handle this two stars their careers shine a lot,.Tolentino deserves his minutes as he's contributing.

I like this statement, not jus Brownlee but the entire Ginebra performed in winning this game, not just for their offense but everything, they play their individual roles and it works for them.

But I follow you with Brownlee. He's also capable of winning the best import award and bring another title to the Brgy. Ginebra team Roll Eyes Grin

of course, because he has already proven that before, but with the way the conference is going, looks like KJ McDaniels has the edge as NLEX is not known to be a good team, he just brought this team to the top and the team is still undefeated until now.

. They should just rely on KJ McDaniels even if it's not consistent with the three, it's good inside to help with the rebound, alas, but let's see twice to beat advantage, NLEX then Northport will be able to match like what happened before.

Yes with the help of their import KJ Mc Daniels and a good teamwork there's no reason that they can not fight for the championship.
Kj McDaniels scored very good every game with the help of his teammates.
The team won't claim the victory if all players are selfish. But in NLEX they fight as Team not one by one.
As expected with the imports and there’s a high chance for NLEX to see the finals especially if they remain committed and continues to focus on their goal which is about the championship. Too early to discuss this but NLEX are really showing good games against other teams, happy to see NLEX players are having fun in the court.
NLEX is doing good but too early to say for the final team though they finally have a opportunity for that places and hopefully they’ll do everything to stay on that level until they reach the finals. There’s big threats to deal with, and I’m happy to see more competitive teams this conference.

They'll probably keep rolling until they faced a strong team like the BGSM.

I like their start, at least this gives them the edge during the elimination as they'll be in a twice-to-beat advantage against a lower seed team. NLEX has improved because they have a good import but I think the best import in this conference is still Justing Brownlee.
Interesting match when facing Ginebra, NLEX already has 4 in a row and keeps doing better this governor's cup,
McDaniels really improved the potential of NLEX to advance to the semis. If they continue playing like this, they might be
the next title contender.

Though still too early for that, other imports might adjust and trying to showcase their individual talents.

But I follow you with Brownlee. He's also capable of winning the best import award and bring another title to the Brgy. Ginebra team Roll Eyes Grin

Bigger games will come but this is indeed a great start for NLEX, they have a good team actually since they are working as a team. There’s no doubt with Brownlee, he has been a good import since then and now seeing his game, I can say that he is still the best import with a great team as well, this is so exciting.

Suddenly TNT has been out of the discussion this early, never expected it. Non powerhouse team in the PBA had a great chance during the conference like this, or conference with imports as import really have 50% affect to the team he is playing, if even a weak team will have a good import like the import of NLEX, they'll really improve as that would also make the locals to get better.

Will NLEX continues their win streak? They are 3-0 now already.

They did, they just routed the DYIP winning by a high margin.

After seasons of struggle, they finally find the best conference to show the fans that they are not a bad team.
maybe the decision to let Ravena go was a good decision as it made them focus on their normal style of play which is sharing the ball and everyone is stepping up. Reason also that they are good now because their import loves the chemistry among the locals.
