Giga will take their first game, let's see if how the import will perform playing alongside with Coach Reyes squad that handicap is tempting but knowing Giga it's tough to bet against them  Roll Eyes Tongue no offense. Grin

McDaniels is a monster import, I don't know why TNT didn't get him anymore, maybe they prioritize NLEX so they could make it to the playoffs.
They have the same owner, so your speculation makes sense.

That's a nail-biting win for the Road Warriors and me of course hehe. There's not much crowd in there but it feels good that finally, they are back at the arena once again. Let's wait for the Ginebra games and see if they can pack the coliseum to its maximum capacity.
Ginebra will have a game this Friday and Sunday, but probably the Sunday game will attract more crowds as it's a family day.
as seen in the https://pba.ph/schedule

Dec 17 - against NP
Dec 19 - against Phoenix.

The Ginebra game is what I'm really waiting though they already play their first game this conference, however, it's different when they are playing with a crowd as Brownlee also understands how the crowd fuel the team to be better, and I'm pretty sure Brownlee has already gain a lot of fans that would watch the game to see him as well.

That game is very intense during the fourth quarter and a minutes left after a turn over from the NLEX turn over again from TNT.
Tnt has a chance to win that match if thier inbound  game is successful but sad to say thier import stepping on the line.
K williams is doing great during the fourth quarter and the lead decreased to 1 point which is good enough.
In NLeX side once again McDaniels scored 33 with 8 rebounds in that game carrying his team to victory.
And I think this conference NLEX have a chance to claim trophy.

Possible to happen, NLEX is also part of the Pangilinan group. Maybe we will see NLEX vs Ginebra this time  Roll Eyes

But it's too early for that, we will see the performances of each team and how hungry they are seeing the fans cheering for them.

3 games and still counting, McDaniels really lifting his team. He's serving his purpose so well.

Congrats to all the winners! Best of luck to your next pick,.

I miss the games today because I'm too busy with our fiesta celebration. Maybe I'll start betting again by Friday if there are games available. PBA games are always fun, I always love the feeling of putting my bet while watching the game.

For Magnolia, congratulations, that was a very dominating game ending in 87-114 score.

You also missed the NLEX vs TNT, NLEX still won and they are on a winning streak in I'm not mistaken.
Don't worry mate, it's okay to relax sometimes and enjoy your day, the PBA is still here and we will see more games before they'll go to the elimination round.

Can't wait to hear fans cheering up, especially those brgy Ginebra fans who are very supportive of the team.

As usual, only Ginebra will be able to make Araneta Coliseum crowded. Smiley

Justin Brownlee is also a crowd favorite since then. He puts up a big number during his debut at this conference making his name more hype at the Ginebra community. They will play on Friday and Sunday, that's the time I think there will be more fans watching live on the venue.

With the addition of CStan, Ginebra is now the favorite to win this import-laden conference and that's boosted with the nod of IATF to allow their sixth man which is the crowd to be in attendance, I'm excited about how this will turn out.

Today's games...

Dyip vs Magnolia

Road Warriors +3.5 @ 1.85 vs Tropang Giga, NLEX is on a roll so I will still be for them.

Take your pick now guys.
Magnolia dominated the whole quarters, not sure If DYIP will be able to rally and close the gap, handicap for Magnolia not sure what's the odds though but it's close in winning and those who bet with ML, they all now enjoying the win. Easy pick for Magnolia fans, 1st game win for the franchise.

If live audience is already allowed with a good numbers of capacity, I’m pretty sure Ginebra can really attract viewers to come and that has been the scenario since then but I doubt on only Ginebra can do this since some teams are also with a great number of supporters especially the top teams. This will still be a long conference, more time to see the teams playing on court.

Barangay Ginebra want to champion again in governors cup by the help of their import Justin brownlee, brownlee is one of the best import in PBA we all know that in 2016 they become a champion and defeat Alaska aces with Justin brownlee. And now again in 2021-2022 governors cup standing 1 win 0 loses which is a good start for the team.
And I agree with you that barangay ginebra can full the setting capacity in Arena. But now in pandemic I think some fans will sad because of the limitation of the audience.

What do you mean by pro league? Are they not pro league before? I'm just curious because MPBL is one of the popular basketball leagues in our country but I'm not so super sure about their status since I don't watch this league all the time.
Yes, that's what it is. You can read the article. (https://www.sunstar.com.ph/article/1915527/Cebu/Sports/MPBL-officially-now-a-pro-league)
I don't watch them too but I saw the news a few days ago and thought of sharing it here. Although this is a PBA thread and there's no MPBL thread so I think it's still related although a bit of off-topic since it's a different league.
Since they are a pro league now, maybe this open an opportunity for this league to be listed in sports bookies, with that, we can have an MPBL league once crypto sportsbook starts listing them as the purpose of this thread is for betting, @blockman, that's really a great news, and this league should earn some fans here.
We don't know about sports books, maybe they will have some partnership with bookies or there will be individual bookies that will eye for them to get listed.
I've seen many on this thread that are very familiar with MPBL so that might work at the same for this thread or it's depending on the discussion. Now, there's two leagues that players can go.

The Ginebra that we love before which is a "never say die" team is showing their capability of coming back because they were down at some point in their first game this conference, much more if the crowd is their, it will be easier for them to come back even with huge deficit.

That's the real definition of never say die, come back when they are in a big deficit and win the game. We've seen that many times in their games and the crowd is a big factor for their success, so with the announcement that the fans are already allowed, we can expect that Ginebra this conference compared to their previous conference, once again, Brownlee will do everything to get another big championship win.

As expected, MPBL will be soon a pro league and now it happened. I posted before that MPBL is now trying to catch up with PBA as the latter is now soft. I will now expect that no players from MPBL will turn their heads big now that they are now called professional players.

Manny Pacquiao also warned those who will attempt a game-fixing in MPBL.

A dedicated thread for that league is necessary if they will be listed on crypto sportsbooks and not just for discussion. For now, I don't think it will harm the PBA thread. Cheesy

we can't really expect some good numbers of fans watching live on the venue during the first phase of the conference.
I'm expecting the opposite as this is the first day where people will be able to see the PBA live again. I'm sure lots of fans are waiting for this opportunity, and with the cheap ticket price, it will surely get a lot of audience.

Let's see then. As I mentioned, PBA live audiences are not good in numbers even back when no pandemic happened when the conference just started, only a difference when Brgy. Ginebra is playing. Being on Wednesday also plays a big role as everyone is working that's why we only see a huge crowd at most during Sunday games.

But yes, I'm hoping you are right as the league really needs good revenue and aside from that, it will boost players' morale to now see a live audience watching and cheering for them. They surely missed those in-game loud cheers.

MPBL is an amateur league. Turning into a professional league, MPBL will now also be under terms the same as PBA. It will be a serious operating league now and need some big backup for a good foundation - thanks to Chooks-To-Go. Players there will now also have a good credential in their career as they will be tagged as professional players now - might be a ticket playing for PBA or even outside the country.

From low to free tickets, expect that they might put a fair cost now on their tickets. It's one of the reasons why MPBL is having always a full live audience.

Going back to PBA, tomorrow will be the league's comeback on their home arena, Araneta Coliseum. I hope some fans will watch as prior pandemic, we can't really expect some good numbers of fans watching live on the venue during the first phase of the conference.
