Araneta tickets have been already shown how much they cost. The patron A will cost 375 only.

They've put down the prices so that everyone who wants to watch it live can afford it. I thought that they would be making the prices too expensive for them to recover but I was wrong with that expectation.
I still remember the time where we went in the MOA Arena for the first time to watch PBA game and that is SMB Vs. TNT. If I remember correctly, the price of ticket at that time is around 400-500 and we are at almost the uppermost part of the arena.

I think making the price of tickets cheaper will attract more people to watch the game. Its a win-win situation for both the PBA and the audiences. Since we are slowly recovering financially because of the pandemic, its understandable that there are some people who can't watch the games live because of the expensive tickets so to solve this problem, PBA made the tickets affordable for those people who wants to watch their games live. Well, I just hope that cheaper tickets will attract more people to watch live and I hope that I will be seeing more people in the arena than the previous years where there are only few people watching for some reasons.
If I remember it right, each team have their tickets for the fans, cutting the price of the tickets are a good move to attract or invite live audiences, In our situation right now, if the price still expensive it will not gain interest people will choose to watch it at home instead of paying such high amount, aside from those avid fan who can really afford the amount of tickets.

Can't wait to hear fans cheering up, especially those brgy Ginebra fans who are very supportive of the team.

What do you mean by pro league? Are they not pro league before? I'm just curious because MPBL is one of the popular basketball leagues in our country but I'm not so super sure about their status since I don't watch this league all the time.
Yes, that's what it is. You can read the article. (https://www.sunstar.com.ph/article/1915527/Cebu/Sports/MPBL-officially-now-a-pro-league)
I don't watch them too but I saw the news a few days ago and thought of sharing it here. Although this is a PBA thread and there's no MPBL thread so I think it's still related although a bit of off-topic since it's a different league.

Yes, it's actually a good decision from the PBA management to have it cheaper. There will be more fans that can avail it since everyone is starting to get up from this pandemic. It's really a 'we win as one' package for them. And on the other league, in the MPBL. It's now an official pro league, they'll be also having their games with an audience. So it's a total win for all of us basketball fans. We can go and watch any of the two if we happen to be closer in the venue.

That's a great news, the price is really affordable to anyone, and I'm pretty sure they'll easily sell that out as people are already excited to see live action again. If only I'm near to the place, I would surely not gonna miss the opportunity to see PBA games.
Yeah, I think that it will be going to be a sold out per game this time since many of us are looking for some recreational and sort of thing like this.
Well, we're all wishing that the PBA is going to recover after nearly 2 years of being affected by the pandemic and hopefully that this is already the start of everyone's recovery and now we're just going to watch out for transfers not only for the players to other teams but from PBA to another league.
Good timing because we are already in the holiday season, people are looking for fun and PBA is one of the many attractions. The current restriction status of our government paves the way for this kind of big event, and since they are back in a big arena, expect a lot of fans especially at the opening.

With this, we will once again hear the Ginebra chant from the fans.
Yeah, great timing, holiday and then lessen active covid cases. This also shows that we're close of going back to the normal. Although it's still needed to remember that there are active cases there.
People really needs this for the holidays and even after it. Also waiting for that cheer from the crowd and it's not just going to be the chant of Ginebra that we want to hear.

Alaska landed their first loss agains Ginebra, and its really unpredictable since many teams are still not playing but its unfortunate for Northporth to be on a 0-3 standing, I expect more from them. Underdog teams has the chance to win because of their imports, we cannot deny that fact, can’t wait to see other teams to play.

Yes, and as we all expect, Brownlee is still the man, the same import we say in the past seasons of the PBA.

He lead the team to beat the Alaska Aces, he scored a double double, 28 points and 10 rebounds.
It was a close game but good thing Ginebra won.  Smiley

Finally! this is the day that we all have been waiting for, it's time to see Brownlee playing again.

No betting odds yet as of now but for sure that will be up today.

Schedule for today as per their official website.

04:00 PM - Northport vs SMB
06:45 PM - Alaska vs Ginebra
This could be more exciting to see them playing and seriously this match is not easy for them since Alaskas is also compose of great players. This is what I love about professional basketball in our country, every teams have their own strengths and the underdogs really have the chance to upset the top teams. Looking forward for a more active imports to go all out and play their best.

Alaska is 2-0 based on the standing (https://pba.ph/standings) so they really are a good team now. The teams now are unpredictable due to their import, look at Terrafirma Dyip, they beat the ROS yesterday because they have a good import and Cabagnot was also making the team better with his ball handling skills and good vision on the court.

NorthPort +4.5 @1.83 vs San Miguel, on paper SMB is the favorite but the thing is, chemistry with their import plus the new players is not yet there so not backing them at this stage, I think the SMB management is now considering an import change if they will lose against Batang Pier.

Congrats mate, you won your bet, though SMB won the game Northport cover the spread since SMB only won by 3 points. After a bad start, finally, SMB had their first win of the conference, question is, will they be consistent in their succeeding games?

Meanwhile, Alaska and Ginebra are playing now.

Agree, imports are really the game-changer. Even if a team has only one superstar but come import laden conference and he paired up with a good import, chances of making it to the quarters/semi are high, like what happened to Northport.

Ginebra vs Alaska odds is not yet shown on my favorite bookies so I will skip it for now.

I don't think people are concerned with getting infected with the virus, if the government did not impose restrictions, we might still see a number of people going to public places despite the increase of virus spread. Now, that the audience is allowed already, expect that it will be soon the same as the NBA where the crowd is not anymore doing social distancing and wearing masks because they are confident they won't get sick as they are already vaccinated.

Knowing how hard-headed pinoy was, it's no surprise if after PBA allow live audiences we might not see proper implementations of safety protocols maybe from the gate they will show respect but after getting inside wild crowds if there's still interest will break those rules, just look how politicians are breaking the safety protocols.

Sorry to drag them here but I just showing example of how crowds are unable to control when excitement is already in them.

Hope for the best regarding to this decision. Smiley Wink

That's right, we are not disciplined enough so most likely lots of audiences will just break the minimum protocol which is the social distancing and wearing of masks. I'm sure the IATF already sees this possibility and yet they still allowed the crowd, so probably the threat is not that high anymore.

Still few, due to this pandemic, people are also concerned about Omicron, though there are also fans who missed the game,
those who already completed their vaccines and an avid fan of certain team or player, they will take chances to watch the game in a live set up.

Glad to see that PBA is now back at home with live fans to cheer and add the energy for the team to play harder.

PBA needs to do something as they got lots of losses from the last 2 years of pandemic, bubble setting ain't enough.
Well, we will see how welcoming the fans are with their back with the audience. About the 2 doses, it's actually expected that they won't allow any unvaccinated or incomplete vaccinated person on the live audience. This is going to be the new normal that events and places will require those 2 doses and even might be with a booster if the situation would be that bad. But I don't think that we'll be going there, the situation is starting to get lower and better this time.
They'll might create promos like barkada promos just to attract more watchers live.

Hope that the vaccines are effective enough to prevent people from getting sick by the virus. As the virus will stay and vaccine will only improve our immune system, so it will still spread that's why it's encourage that everyone should take the vaccine so we can go back to normal, and here, we are already seeing an improvement that we are going back to normal.
We don’t know the real numbers though since some people who have the mild symptoms are not going to clinic anymore for Covid testing they are over confident especially if they already have the vaccine. Maybe, we can see the live audience here in PBA once we vaccinated the whole target of our government especially with the booster shot or else, we might still not see this until next year.
