Who's with me on betting for the Hotshots, -3.5 HC is not too high and if Magnolia wins they sure will cover this.

I'm with you as I love to see Calvin Abueva winning his first game in hotshots uniform.

We only have 2 games tomorrow, the first game should be boring as I think TNT will have an easy win here.

Magnolia vs Phoenix should be a great one and since I believe Magnolia is the better team, they should cover and win.

^^ Odds for tomorrow's game between Magnolia and NorthPorth.

Just like to share because for me this is very attractive if you bet for the Hotshots. Batang Pier was totally dominated by the Bolts and they must be playing tired tomorrow because of this back-to-back game. Clearly, the Batang Pier missed the service of Greg Slaughter but I think he won't be playing for a while for them as he is currently in the US for his vaccination (what a lame excuse lol).

Who's with me on betting for the Hotshots, -3.5 HC is not too high and if Magnolia wins they sure will cover this.

The first game will start soon.

I'm looking for free live streaming, hopefully, Onesport facebook account will give live streaming for this game.
have you placed your bets already? I'm a bit late and I didn't see the special odds anymore, I got the first game under 186.5, and blackwater winning the game.

Unfortunately, there's no live streaming in this game, I think they prefer not to show it so we will just watch on our TV, and that advertisers will benefit more. I don't know really, this is the first time after many seasons that PBA has no live streaming.

First, they took out the youtube live stream, now they took away facebook live.
I agree with this. The revenue of the league has already affected because of this pandemic and they will not like that their revenues from advertisements will be decreased too because of live streams.
Well, its good that we fixed our television days before the start of the league so.. yeah I can watch some games still Smiley.

I did not subscribe to cable TV anymore as my kids are just using youtube and Netflix whenever they watch shows on our TV. For me, I'm comfortable with just watching through my PC as I also have some online jobs, so that free live streaming is very useful to me. I guess if they have a premium for online streaming, I would be willing to pay just to watch it and be comfortable at the same time.

First game is over and the Aces won against the BlackWater Bossing 103-77. A one sided match indeed. I don't know if I'm the only one who thought about it but the roster of the BW Bossing isn't a championship caliber. Like see their roster, no superstar, just all average players that is why when I saw this roster on FB I already saw some comments telling that this team will be in the last spot on the eliminations. I'm not belittling them still but just seeing their roster, I don't know if they will be able to enter at least to the playoffs. Any takeaways??

I expect Alaska would win but I didn't expect it will be a blowout win by the Alaska Aces. Blackwater is not a championship team, it's okay to belittle them anyway as rumors said they are just a farm team, so they don't have a superstar. This team was only fun to watch when Ray Parks was still playing, but now he's gone in this team, and in the PBA, they are now a boring team.

I've now found the answer to my small question, there will be no audience at the venue. The PBA doesn't like to follow yet the other countries doings even with a limited capacity. They will just consider it once the situation in Metro Manila improves so in my own view, that will be next year. They are also discouraged by the IATF to not allow spectators on the game even with a limited capacity.

But Marcial hinted that who knows in the playoffs of the second conference, they will now allow small spectators. It means after the All-Filipino Cup, there might be a chance to continue to the second conference since looking at the game schedule, it will end on August 27. If we will estimate it, the All-Filipino Cup will end in September.
The IATF are too strict and remember the PBA is having a hard time to get the permit so I don't think live audience is really possible now even on the next conference, but hopefully we can achieve the herd immunity this year we might have a chance if ever. The Volleyball game will also begin this weekend without live audience, PBA also have to do the same and follow all the IATF protocols, still good to see them back in action.

I miss those days where the big crowds are allowed. In other countries, they have already allowed a large audience to the venue. I'm sure not all people there are vaccinated and they still have lots of confirmed cases everyday makes me think that virus treats as a business Cheesy It's more tolerable compare to before and seems like ordinary flu.

I'm expecting the PBA will run smoothly since last year, even in a strict bubble setup, some people inside still got contracted with the virus.

That's a fact. Actually, I posted that too before that prior pandemic, PBA audience is not that great except when BGSM is on the playoffs to Finals or any teams at the Finals. However, it's not that games will always be boring, like for example it's not always NorthPort vs DYIP or BlackWater vs NLEX lol, so expect that there will still some people who will watch the game live.

And for the record, last 2019, I able to watch 6 games live at the venue, even watching those farms teams, since like I mentioned, I was nearby Ynares and Smart-Araneta in Cubao. It's only on MOA Area that I'm not able to watch live because I don't want to travel there during rush hour. About 25-30 minutes travel time from our home on usual traffic. Yes, the crowd is sometimes few especially on 1st game even it's Ginebra.  And sometimes free tickets are given to us (one of my friends is working in....) so take the opportunity, always at Upper B for free tickets but a good spot already for a good view. Smiley
Although the coliseum is accessible on my end and I can travel, I just don't want to be a warrior in the middle of the traffic, that's really common on the roads near to Smart Araneta but that's a good experience of you. I've got a friend too before that has offered free tickets because he's working for a certain company that gives out those tickets, maybe that's an incentive but sadly it wasn't pushed. I think I've watched games before, live but I can't remember those particular games because I was still young but I remember that I saw coach Tim Cone personally.

So with all you guys are saying, PBA is not that so popular now that people really want to watch and pay for the ticket. I guess they'll only make big sales during the playoffs or the PBA Finals, especially if the teams that are playing are big teams like Ginebra, SMB, Magnolia and TNT, let's include Meralco.
I'm not saying that it's not popular. It's still popular and I'm satisfied unlike the others that have said it, they feel that it's boring this time and that's what they feel. Usually, that's what is happening when the conference is about to end and it's like the semis or playoffs, that's really getting the attention of the fans. We mostly are skipping those usual games just like in NBA but there's a huge difference if we're going to compare it to them as their people are really supporting the teams and games.

Can't blame other to say PBA is boring since honestly they are not doing a good for  the past couple of years there are so many issues like a company recruiting and building super team without any interference and other issues towards the league and actually we can see  that number of fans are slowly decreasing so they must really address that before this PBA will collapsed. I know this is far to happen but if they continue to act unfair to other teams well most provably this bad thoughts will provably happen.

Wow, I envied you mate  Grin.

Whenever the PBA is playing out of town and they are in my place, I will never pass up the opportunity to watch them live especially if it's SMB that will be playing, it's always standing capacity in our local stadium. Wow, I miss those times but hoping that out of town games will be back soon and the new arena that will be built by SM (a little bit bigger than MOA as they said) will be finished by that time so we can see the home town boys (Fajardo and Slaughter) playing alongside each other not as an opponent as we usually see them when they are playing college ball.

I think with this pandemic it's not easy for me to watch the game live or in the arena, the travel restrictions are killing that opportunity. Also, the risk of getting infected is high and if you are travelling outside metro manila, there's a chance that you'll not enjoy your vacation as you might just end up getting quarantine. So, I would just watch them in television why putting a little bet on them.

They will allow audiences to watch games?? I just hope that it will not be overcrowded but hey I forgot that even though there aren't any pandemics, the number of audiences watching the game is still few so.. yeah no differences Cheesy. Still boring as it is so it is better to just watch on home than going there, watching a boring match.

I think we will find out tomorrow if this is true.

Seeing an audience in the game is already a good start, which means the IATF is confident that everyone who are in the venue will be safe, and that is because they have vaccines already, so what I'm seeing in the future is that getting vaccinated will be the requirement before you can watch the PBA in the arena.
Let's see if that's already confirmed and verified, they'll put some announcement that's official release to let the fans know if that's for real.
I'm sure that before going into the audience entrance, you'll have to be tested negative and it's only for those fans that are willing to shoulder the expenses and really want to watch the live games. Well, if they want to watch some actions live, that's what I think is the first requirement and that is to test negative through RT-PCR. I hope that it's going to be the main testing that they'll do instead of antigen and other sorts of inaccurate testing.

The article says "Maximum of 200 individuals" so I think it will include the players and staff of the PBA so I don't think fans are allowed at this point in time even if you are fully vaccinated.

The PBA will try its best not to be the "super spreader" so I think they will be very strict for now and follow every protocol set by the IATF. Even if it's a fanless venue, still it is going to be exciting that even though their original plan of opening in April drew some setback but still they manage to get the nod of the IATF to finally open tomorrow.

Yes, I agree with you, it should not be boring because we waited for this for months and there they are, back again and tomorrow is the opening of games. I'm excited and will try to find the betting odds if it's already open, of course, I'll do that after today's NBA Game 4.
