Tonight they are going to announce the best import and the best player of the conference, Fajardo and Castro have a big shot of winning, and I believe Jones would clearly win the best import award.
Jones is the clear choice for the best import award and it's a no brainer as Jones is a super import of some sort, we have a rare import of Jones caliber.

Jason Castro for me is the Best Player of the conference awardee since Junemar already got the BPC award last All-Filipino conference.

I think the winner for the best import is Terrence Jones, 2nd choice is Justin Brownlee.
In the best player conference award, I would go with the article below.

https://www.foxsports.ph/basketball/pba/1029453/parks-perez-lead-bpc-contention-jones-tops-choice-for-best-import/

I'm picking Ray Parks to win.
I will go for Fajardo since Jun2  did the great part in this whole conference

Though Castro has also potential specially those last few games when he is the one that helped the team a lot

Ray Parks is good as well but not enough to get this seasons award, maybe in next conference we’ll see what he can improve to be deserving for the award

I really appreciate Jones' effort to resist himself not go in rage because it seems that SMB's large guys are intended to annoy him. Imagine, he endured the elbow swing of Fajardo right to his liver (Ouch!) and also the physicality of Standhardinger. I think pushing Jones' to his limit is part of SMB's strategy but unfortunately they did't succed. They ended up getting technical fouls and foul troubles lol. Better luck next time for them Cheesy.
Fajardo landed more than 3 times of elbow swing to Jones' body and the last swing made him go into the ground. I'm a SMB fan but to be honest, I don't want how SMB is playing right now. Dirty plays + Chris Ross' flops. This will go in 7 games so Game 4 will go to SMB or maybe TNT and in Games 5-6 will be for SMB. More Games = More income Wink
Fajardo didn't intentionally threw that elbow to hurt Jones and Jones even said on the post game interview that Junemar was just trying to aggresive. Fajardo is not a dirty kind of player and he is even the recipient of the hard fouls and he never complained too much to the ref.

Refs got to control the game early and those flops should be given sanctions too. The way i see it, SMB is not playing dirty, they are just physical on Jones trying to get under is skin and spoiled his game focus.
He is not a dirty player and I agree with that, I can't even remember about fajardo having a technical foul or a flagrant foul, he can be beast mode in the court but will not intentionally hurt any player.

The way I see it, if refs will not favor the SMB, this series could end shorter than 7 games, sorry to be bias because I'm betting on the TNT to win in the series. Fajardo's style was never change, that's the same style he use even with other conference but Ross and Stand  are obviously changing their strategy, they are flopping and they are trying to get into the head of Jones.

Line for game 3 is already available, TNT is still the favorites to win.

SMB @ 2.27 - TNT @ 1.59 ( moneyline)
SMB +3.5 - TNT -3.5 (point spread)..

I like TNT but I maybe would pass in this game, if SMB wins, I would bet with TNT in game 5.
Why pass  Grin? TNT @1.59 is not bad, they would finish this series early as players were already exhausted and they have to prepare for the FIBA world cup after this so the sooner the better for this championship to end. Kidding aside, i am raising my white flag now as a fan of SMB and will bet for TNT on the remaining games.

Which very well taken cared by the coaching staff they've able to cool him and the locals help him not to force the entire scoring in his hands, it's been said before that this import is really great and the team his playing right now did a great job maintaining the efforts for the whole team as it is, SMB really trying to go inside Jones both physical and mental but he manage to finish the game and win it.

Now that TNT has taken the lead in the series, I wonder what would be the series odds right now, I hope Darkstar will still accept a series bet so we can see  more excitement from this thread.  The last update was 1.70 for TNT To win, now it should be lower.

It was Fajardo who make this team successful and even they have import, they can still rely on fajardo.
In game 3, Fajardo did a good job scoring inside the paint when their import is in foul trouble but he lack support from the other local because their outside shooting does not click while the TNT outside scorers are very consistent.
My friends and I also noticed the same that Fajardo had a greater time inside the court compare to their import. Why? Probably because of unbalance harmony. I noticed that when Fajardo is inside the lead diminishes but when McCullough is also inside the lead expands again. But still, props to their efforts however I guess they can't stop TNT for aiming the championship. I mean, SMB is pretty dominated all the way long whether when it comes to offense and defense. They can't also stop Jones, the long 3s and even the sneaky offensive rebounds; so what SMB gonna do right now?

McCullough  is tall but does not have the body to defend Jones, if you notice, McCullough is not doubled unlike Jones where there's another defender coming from the weak side that will go in front of him if he will drive.

Fajardo on the other side, he has the body but he doesn't have the quickness and therefore his move is very unpredictable.
If they will let fajardo to just generate the points, that will make them very unpredictable and TNT will beat them in the 4 quarters of the game.

SMB's meltdown in the second quarter cost them the game. They can't score for more than six minutes and Fajardo missing a lot of put backs in that period. Jones is too much for the Beermen and credit to Jones or the TNT staff for keeping his cool as he almost got ejected on that game. If the temper of Jones will be control then TNT is hard to defeat in this series.

This is not only the fight between Jones and Fajardo but this is the fight if every players in both team. Will be able to see this end up in game 7.
I'm not saying that this Finals is between Jones and Fajardo, i'm stressing out the importance of a Junemar in the SMB play. Coach Austria is heavily relying on Junemar and we have seen that on the championships that they've won. If we take out Fajardo on the SMB roster, there is no way that they will reach this finals as gunners alone could not win them games and we have seen that 4/5 years ago when Junemar join SMB. In this series, if Junemar won't click then SMB is on the wrong end of the rope.

That is their problem. In Game 2, SMB shot many threes in the first half compare to TNT but they are not shooting that well in the 2nd half and TNT had many three points that went in. Now in Game 3, the TNT's shooters has been consistent in the three and the ability of their locals to fight for the rebound give them the win.

They got the early lead but it vanished easily. Now the momentum is on the TNT already and still nobody can stop Jones. A good defender and a good passer. How they can stop that person Cheesy.

After Fajardo entered SMB, I started to become a fun of the SMB. Tho, one thing that I have noticed with them is that they are always getting a slow paced during every finals that they are in.

Both did really impressive wins during semi-finals. TNT right now are pretty strong having Jones in their team is pretty dangerous and he obviously shows it having 41 points on game 1.

Even if this fight can really be so closed I still be on the side of SMB LOL go KRAKEN!. Also I am hoping the Romeo will step up. Hitting outside should be his main priority
The strength of SMB is Fajardo and if Fajardo is a non-factor of this series then i could say that it's money in the bag for TNT and we are seeing it now that the Kraken is having a hard time defending the middle due to the athleticism of Jones and on the offensive side also, Jones is limiting Fajardo. I'm an SMB fan but with the current outlook of the series, i would put my money on the Katropa on the remaining games.
This is final series already and I don't think that TNT just give up easily even if Jones will be out of the game. They arrive in final series just because all of them did well.

TNT takes Game 3 and I'm not hoping now for someone to bet against me this series lol. Thinking of adjusting the odds.

SMB is playing like they are not the SMB I have known. They are focusing too much to annoyed TNT's Jones. For what reason? For him to be ejected again? Luckily, Jones kept his cool and got saved from being ejected just in the first quarter. This shows that SMB can't really do something to slow down Jones so an ejection might save them lol.

SMB literally wasted their large lead. TNT's local players began stepping up while SMB is focused on Jones.

Game 4 would be interesting to watch. It’s saturday so there’s a time to watch the fight.

It will be on Sunday (PH TIME).

I'll go suicidal on this game 3 as i'll bet for the SMB to win and over 205.5 for 5.40 odds.

Parlay?

Over 205.5 has a big chance I guess. I'm expecting to see a raining of buckets tonights from both teams.
Yeah, parlay. Though the chance is slim this game 3 but it's possible that SMB can win the game but this could be done on the offensive end. Cabagnot and TR7 should score more so that the defense of TNT will collapse on the back court of the Beermen. If SMB will win game 3, at least i win big  Grin at least once.

And yeah, as I said, Over 205.5 has a big chance, 115-105.

But other parts of the parlay spoiled your bet. Well then nice try. Those combined odds is really tempting.
