I think big mistake made by FIFA if have final decision to banned Russia from world cup play off qualification and Spartak Moscow have out early before competition begin on EUFA Europe League, I think why not FIFA made the same thing with Israel team national country why not banned by FIFA because keep active until right now invasion war to Palestine, still have active on UEFA competition allowing by Israel team.
There is a danger that this might be actually the beginning of the end of a FIFA that includes the whole world. In the future, with any military or political conflict there will be people asking: "But you did this with Russia. Why aren't you doing it now?" If the FIFA permanently adopts the Western viewpoint they might be seen as a political institution by other countries who then withdraw from it alltogether. I hope this won't be the case as it would hurt everybody: the sport, the athletes, the spectators, ...
I would guess that getting every single nation out that attacks another nation is a good decision to have. Only if they actually follow it up, because we all know they won't follow it up. Like USA attacked Iraq, and got over a million people killed (including a lot of their own). Were they kicked out of Fifa? You may seem to think that it was justified, but a lot of people all around world thinks that what USA did to Iraq was unjustified, especially after getting rid of Saddam, if he is gone, just make sure there is a good fair elections, and then leave, even that would have been acceptable.

I would guess that China, Russia and so forth will be acted this way, which is 100% deserved and should be done, but when it is Saudis, USA, UK, or whatever that attacks another nation, they will just ignore it and that part is the big problem.

Sports can be used to promote peace, and this is a big step, Canada has also ban the import of raw material from Russia. Mastercard banned the Russian transactions - Russia would not even think what more is coming in the day to come. We took a breath after Afghan war was over and we hope peace will prevail  but this happened again.

News about various supply restrictions and bans is pouring in an endless stream (I'm from Russia), in fact, we are witnessing the process of canceling the whole country. I consider this to be the right decision, although I am a local resident and directly suffer (and will suffer) from this.
By the way, knowing my own authorities, I can assume that, in spite of everyone, they can ignore the World Cup and ban its broadcasts in the country (if by this time this government or we still exist).

On March 24, 2022 Ukraine will play the World Cup access play-off with Scotland.
Will they have all their best players available for this match?
And those who are going to play, will they be well psychologically?
In theory Ukraine had a greater probability of victory, but with this situation it is difficult to know.
I think Russia will face more troubles in days to come. This war is not going to come easy. There are restrictions and sections coming from all over. Now the world has woken up and there will more coming in strike both psychologically and physically. I am praying the war ends soon, otherwise we won't be able to predict what is coming next.
We are definitely not in favor of war. We all want peace. Russia should stop fighting. But Putin is a stubborn man. He will not stop fighting until he reaches his goal. And as far as news of the war is concerned, I think Ukraine will surrender in a few days. Soon Russia will occupy Kyve. However, if the war continues, Russian athletes may not be able to participate in any sport outside the country. The EU and the USA are imposing heavy sanctions on the Russians.

I think Putin's character is a lot like Hitler's. He will not move a hair from his goal. He may have been preparing for World War III. However, the USA does not want to go to war with Russia now. And so they are supporting Ukraine but not cooperating with them. But Putin only wants the fall of the Russian government. If Volodymyr Zelenskyy resigns, Russia's aggression will probably stop.

Same as this Russia might've got into more such activities against the rules of FIFA. Till date it has breached the rules of Olympics and that's the reason of taking away Russia from Olympics. Today it is announced that Belarus too no more into Olympics. I'm not sure of it, or else this might be a plan to make way to end the war. In one way it looks like a double rule, because during those wars FIFA should've taken some actions.
It looks ridiculous, they look one-sided and maybe we can see all of them.  They are neutralized if they are an institution free from political elements. But their current decision is very different from what they say. Of course I as a football fan disappointed they are not neutral in this matter. Other news if FIFA's decision may reach UEFA therefore russian clubs that appear in the European league are officially disqualified. Unfortunate.

It's actually unfortunate for the footballers because they did not deserve the ban. When we are debating about something we always say don't mix sports with politics but here that is exactly what we are doing. And I am not saying that they are doing anything wrong by banning the clubs. Because then I will have to hear that it I am supporting Russia with my ideas which I obviously don't.

there is a nice cartoon about all these things that have now been decided by fifa against russia in the last few days
and not only fifa but also other federations or other football clubs end the partnerships with russian companies

Unfortunately, before all these structures took bloody money with pleasure, and maybe that's why in the end everything ends in a big war. If the world community behaved as it does now in 2014 or even in 2008 (when Russia attacked Georgia), all these victims could have been avoided. At the moment, I do not understand why FIFA ignores the role of Belarus, from the territory of which the attack was also carried out and which is an ally of Russia.

Listen, what is just nothing but the older people playing tricks on the young to kill themselves. And most of the time the innocents are the ones to suffer.

Anyway probably FIFA is ignoring the role of Belarus because if you just start thinking that these are allies and these are enemies, probably the media will have a field day about it and probably this could turn into an actual World War 3.

At the moment, I do not understand why FIFA ignores the role of Belarus, from the territory of which the attack was also carried out and which is an ally of Russia.
I think different sporting authorities are treating it differently, but FIFA will probably come out against Belarus soon enough. Other sporting authorities have, for example in Formula One racing, both Russian and Belarusian drivers have been banned from competing at the British GP. I'm sure other sports and countries will follow suit. It just takes time, no doubt they've spent ages arguing what to do about Russia, now they'll be having the same discussions about Belarus... not that Putin is going to be remotely bothered.
Guys, Vladimir Putin is a freaking savage. He does not care about what happens in sports in my opinion. What I think is, he set his eyes on one mission and he will complete it. But the sports generation of that whole region is going to suffer.

Sad news for football lovers. Sports doesn't merit this treatment. Russian football national teams, clubs are only the survivor of Western Double Standards. They used to say don't mix politics with sports. Here, it's extremely sad how the entire world is conscious of humankind. The world has a place with specific individuals who have the permit to control the whole world. Move has been made with phenomenal speed, I surmise action on Belarus will be roll out next.
Obviously, people can ban the Russian and the Belarusian players, but it would not have any effect on Russia and Belarus in my opinion. I mean they are at war and what do you think banning some players is going to do? Nothing. But obviously, I am not defending anyone here.

what i'm worried about happened, if the war doesn't end then Ukraine and Russia are guaranteed not to appear in the qualifying round... because Ukraine players are ordered to fight with their country against the Russian army.  stay strong ukraine, we are all with you!!

Playing under pressure and ridicule is certainly very distracting, I'm sure even Russian players won't be able to deal with that easily. Everyone must still hope that things will return to normal, so that boycotts from other countries that refuse to play with Russia can be canceled.

This would only happen if Russia seems to invade Ukraine, which would be very good for everyone.
Even after that, I believe that these teams don't want to go to Russia to play, so the games would have to be played on neutral grounds.
It is unfortunate that the three potential opponents of the Russian national team boycotted the match, Poland, the Czech Republic and Sweden, these three countries have boycotted playing with the Russian national team, FIFA has also taken the decision that the Russian national team was officially kicked out by FIFA, it is unfortunate the impact war affects sports but my question is why when Israel invaded Palestine the state of Israel was not kicked out by FIFA in any sport..

The decision taken by FIFA is very unfortunate to exclude Russia from the World Cup play-off event due to the invasion carried out by Russia against Ukraine so that it must have an impact on the national team that will compete in the World Cup playoffs.even where the news made many other teams to boycott the match against the Russian national team as was done by Poland, I think this is a decision taken by FIFA, as we know where the invasion has also happened to the state of Palestine by Israel but they were not disqualified in any sporting event of course this is something this is inversely proportional to what FIFA did to Russia and laptops in the eastern European country

I think Russia should be disqualified from the 2022 world cup. They attacked Ukraine in front of the eyes of the world and there must be a response. Although the disquafily from the World Cup does not look nice, Russia should be reacted somehow. If this punishment happens, Russian football players will not be punished, the Russian football committee will be punished. I know how friendly Russian people are. One wrong decision does not change this fact.
I appreciate the decision of FIFA something has happened finally. And people stood up.  Many giant companies have banned their oil venture with Russia also Master card has banned its transition for Russian clients. I wish the same has happened with Muslim countries were attached to in the “eyes of the world”. The world witnessed and closed their eyes.

So far I have read that only Russia has been officially banned by FIFA. Maybe this is an official article from FIFA that you can read.

At the moment, bookmakers are casting Ukraine as an outsider, probably because of the reasons you have listed. The odds are:

2,40 - 3,20 - 3,05

I think they can still seriously change, because there are still three weeks ahead, and depending on how the war develops, we will see completely different consequences. I hope all this horror will end quickly and we will see the game in a normal environment.

Yeah, I understand that football players and all other athletes who were banned from international competition will suffer and it's not their fault. But I think it would be wrong to let them play like nothing didn't happened.
It's same like not casual Russian people started war, but they will suffer most from all sanctions and falling ruble. But that's consequences of their elected president actions.
[/quote]
Yes, indeed that is what happened. But unfortunately this is something to be done.
I hope that as soon as possible this scenario changes so that the population and players do not suffer from Putin's and his government's decisions.
