I would like to suggest adding ultramixer.net on the list of scam bitcoin mixers to avoid, someone used their service earlier and got scammed. There's a few websites that's possibly misleading some people due to their fake reviews and listing top mixers(ultramixer included) that isn't even reliable.

A little update on the list

BitMaximum decided to remove the Clearnet link. It was using Cloudflare if I remember and when people pointed the weak point of using it, he was (somehow) telling people to not use the clearnet. Now the site is off, is that a way of admitting your mistake and trying to improve, or a way to say there is a more serious problem.

All of them don't have a wallet integrated.
One transaction in and one transaction out is just too easy to deanonymize.

Tor browser needed.
Since bitblender is gone this is the only mixer which is actually working.

Clearnet mixers are a huge joke anyway, the FBI will seize servers and catch everyone.

Can you add a section with a timeline of the most known or used mixers that have gone dark? If you have the info for it of course. Would be pretty interesting to see how fast the market was hit by the bextmixer news, as it seems shutdowns are spreading like wildfire.

Done, I added the dates for the websites I knew about. I will also categorize to differentiate the scams from discontinued projects.
And surely add the servers location and logs policy as DmrDmr suggested some days ago

Thanks, I updated the list and removed also another mixer. Ghostmixer is gone as well, the domain name expired and the guy looks inactive forever. I will try to monitor the sites more frequently because I'm pretty sure we will surely find a few others mixers following the same path shortly.

BitBlender is gone.

Bitcoin Blender is shutting down. Please withdraw.

The most recent casualty of the hunt against the mixers.

<…> I wasn't even expecting that Bestmixer been seized out.Just heard of the news today.Wondering if other Mixers would still end up on the same fate? What you think?
What I am pretty sure about is that many of them will be under scrutiny, and may have been so for quite some time. Seizing their activity will largely be dependent on the jurisdiction that applies to where the servers/corporation reside. Europe has been persistent in chasing money laundering, although arguably on could state that the mixer provides a service and that it is up to the individuals to determine exactly what they use it for. Banks are used for money laundering too, and they are not seized, but rather the individuals (which of course are more difficult to trace on BTC related TXs).

Early this month, Spain had a police intervention on two BTC ATMs that were persistently used to launder money (see Spain – busted - Crypto ATMs used to launder narco money on a large scale). That does not mean it will be a general practice, but legislation and vigilance will probably go up a notch). On this occasion, the two ATMs were seized, since the infractions were aligned with the company that physically hosted them, and that was its main purpose.

By the way, it may be interesting to update the OP with information related to applicable legislation to each listed mixer, and IP/log treatment (if and when possible).

Edit: OP, your thread is referenced here (second to last line - under the "found" term): https://cointelegraph.com/news/europol-shuts-down-200-million-crypto-mixing-service-bestmixer

Well, it seems that BestMixer has bitten de dust today, acused of money laundering (see https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/bestmixerio-service-shut-down-for-laundering-200-million-/).

Apparently, the Dutch FIOD (Fiscal Information and Investigation Service) made the move along with Interpol, and claim to have information for the past year on IPs, TXs, BTC addresses and chat messages …

Wow, there's a huge list here but of all the mixers listed, I only tried Bestmixer, and I like using it because it's very simple to navigate.
However, I would choose to shift to a new one if they have a cheaper fees with the same easy feature like bestmixer.

Any recommendation based on your experience?

Sorry for being lazy reading the feed back above.

I can't remove a mixer because the owner isn't active on a forum. I can do it if the site has really stopped working or scammed
I added BitMaximum and removed BitWhisk

At least you can mark them as Inactive? So users/visitors can know that the owner is not active and it's not good to use the service whose owner is not active.
thanks for updating.

I can't remove a mixer because the owner isn't active on a forum. Otherwise, no mixer would be listed. The forum is just a platform they use to promote their mixer, it's not mandatory to be active to be a reliable service. I can remove it if the site has really stopped working or scammed

Can anyone confirm if this link is legit?  http://foggedd3mc4dr2o2.onion/  Has anyone else used it?
I sent 0.14 BTc and 3 days nothing there in my acc.No responce from support

There seem to be many links for Fog service but this one is mentioned on many review sites.
Any info from community will be appreciated
Bitcoin Fog is a confirmed scam. Their ANN thread is full of people claiming that they lost their coins: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=50037.560

Unfortunately, your coins are gone.
Thank you for confirming.I will stop writing letters to scammer now
