Another Filipino Legend, Efren "Bata" Reyes, beats Thailand’s Thongchai Punyawee in the mens 1 cushion carom.

Quote
Reyes took advantage of taking the first turn, racking up points to keep his opponent on catch-up mode early.

The 65-year-old cuemaster even put together a pair of 20-point runs to assert his might over his foe.

I'm sure a lot of Filipinos is also following this sports, and I do hope that Efren gets his first SEA game gold medal. He is thru to the semis, and will face Dinh-Nai Ngo of Vietnam, also a be medalled cushion player. So it's going to be a tough competition ahead of Efren. But definitely I'll support Efren here and do hope he wins gold.

Who's with the sentiment of feeling sad for Timor Leste?

I hope that they'll be able to get their first medal whether it will be gold, silver or bronze. They're still a new country and hoping that in other games they'll dominate and continue to improve with their focused games.

It's like PH when competing in a global tournament, few medals, but never received such a strong recognition by others.

And Timor Leste is not a new country. They are just new in terms of joining the South East Asian organization.

But I believed they can grab at least a bronze medal or even better. The event is far from over. They still have time.
They've became a new first sovereign state by 2002 that's why I've considered them a new country. Anyway, yes they are a new member of the ASEAN/SEA.

The twitter world is full of support for them and we're all hoping that something good is about to happen for them. I'm wishing them the best and believing too that their first medal this 30th SEAg will be taken before it ends.

Philippines' men basketball team will start their quest for yet another gold at the SEA games tonight against Singapore.

This may sound overkill as the Philippines is sending it's best players at this regional meet but we are the host country and it's only appropriate to send the best rather than sorry if anything happens.

Odds for this game on my sportsbook:

Singapore:14.28   Philippines = 1.01

Expect this kind of odds when Gilas is playing.

What do you expect, Gilas has been campaigning in world stage, and are just really above the rest of the SEA neighbours as far as basketball is concern, and then hosting it this year? yeah it will be overkill. And unless something back luck struck Gilas, I would say that everyone is just fighting for the silver medal, no disrespect to other nations. But Gilas will dominate the basketball game in this tournament.
They will definitely dominate the basketball tournament, the Gilas Pilipinas have a solid roster and they can rule the tournamanet. It is really expected that they will get the gold medal amd for me the team of Gilas Pilipinas is unstoppable. I do not say that the roster of other nation is weak but the Gilas have advantage to them.

This tournament was expected to be dominated by the host country knowing how they handled this league for so long. Today they over-killed the Singaporean team with 52 points differentials.  All went well for the team gilas they play as one and it's so nice to see how they perform with one
intentions. No ball-hog all of them contributed what they've supposed to do inside and outside the court. Good job.

I think it's expected that the Philippines will dominate the 5x5 basketball competition in this SEA games. Now that the Philippines is sending their best players it's more like your expected odds is inevitable.

Philippines ruled the sea games and they are the no.1 in terms of ranking and medals especially in the game arnis. They got 14 gold medals in that game alone. I'm fully sure that the Philippines will be the no.1 at the end of the sea games even there are also strong athletes from other countries like Vietnam and Malaysia.

we need to do everything even overkilling opponents because we are thirsty in taking the "overall champion"

even the other country will do the same because this is a rare occasion when an athlete will play infront of their family, friends and countrymen  so expect the full blast from their part.

we are all aiming for this for long time so now that the chance is ours?we will take it at any chance as long as legal and not against the rules.

Proud to be Pinoy and will always be.

Glad to see the Indonesian Badminton men's team beating Malaysia 3-1 in Final and winning a gold medal.

Malaysia and Thailand have good badminton players and this will be a difficult opponent for Indonesia badminton athletes in individual numbers.

Hopefully in the badminton match in individual numbers Indonesia can get gold medals from men's singles, men's doubles and mixed doubles.

same here bro,was looking for at least ranked number 2 is enough, but as days goes by now we are getting more and more medals specially Gold,so maybe this is another record to happen as it was very long when we are in the top position.

Sadly we are beaten by Vietnam in Women's volleyball when this is the game were expecting to get a Big chance of gaining our Gold again.

And now Indonesia behind Malaysia with difference 5 gold medal. There is unexpecting result sad to see this.

China will give some tough time and somehow, I feel like this is going to win badminton.
Correction, China isn't part of this event.

I also read some feedback that says it's a strategy by the host country to keep the other competitors out of shape Cheesy
That's not true of course but that still sounds funny...."If you can't beat them, feed them"
Just LOL Grin. Well, that just to show hospitality by offering foods and not to get them hungry it's on them to maintain their diets.

I believe they can grab some medal as well and I believe that the variety of sports been there on the SEA Games at least a few of it they should excel on it.

They are just beginning to coup up with the SEA games. Since they are new to this kind of competition, I think it's understandable that they might not win any medal. So maybe in the future if they have established their sports programs, they might as well be a tough competitor in SEA games.
It is understandable and noticeable base on their performances for the past Sea games. They need to invest on their facilities and training so that their athletes will be able to compete toughly and improve as well. Just like the other countries, they went through this kind of hardship.

I wish that before this sea games 2019 ends, they'll get a medal or more.

Just picking on this. Cloudbet are offering odds for the Soccer tournament which is obviously at a critical point, with the final Group games being played.
What other sports you'll get to list Ronnie?
