Ofcourse for me because Im Filipino so I choose Philippines because also I see in the past few years there is a lot of good Athletes that Philippines have and for sure they will win a lot of medals.  I saw the opening of sea games there is a lot of people there who cheer and very happy just enjoy watching every games there and bless to the player who join the games because that is not easy.  Be proud what country you represented to the sea games and pray for them to not be injured.

I recently watch the latest tally and Philippines are still leading now with 15 gold medals (I forgot if there are additions to the gold and bronze medals Cheesy).

Here's an update, Philippines win over Indonesia in the 3x3 basketball, 21-17. Nice game! Well, I expected this already since Gilas Pilipinas is currently rank 6 in the FIBA World, meaning, they are really a powerhouse team in Asia. Gilas Pilipinas, Puso! Smiley

In the 3x3 basketball, it's obvious that we can bag home the gold. Basketball is where the main focus and I believe they deliver the expected. Now what I want to see is the gilas to do the same in the 5x5 tournament.

Do you also have a link of youtube channels where the South East Asian Games are broadcast live, as many of us do not have access to these channels living outside Asia.
There are plenty of youtube channels broadcasting but the coverage is for a single game only. I can't find a website that covers all.

Can you give the link of those plenty youtube channels ?

If you are going to bet on rankings, you take this in consideration and don't place the host anywhere below #3.

I would place the host on No. 1 Position. I would also like to know the odds for the Philippines.
Do let me know the platform where the bet can be placed on the overall ranking ?

Yes, that's right. The host country has always the advantage because they have lesser cost to bear in terms of transpo alone. So they have all the luxury to send as many participants as they can and so the chance of winning is high. So my guess who will emerge with highest number of gold medals would be the PH. Let's see who would it be come this Dec 11?
Not only that its very easy for their supporters to cheer for their athletes. Just like what they always say there's no place like home, its an advantage of Ph athletes to others who are not accompanied by their family.

Well this might be one the reason why the host country is leading.

The general trend with this gaming event is that the host gets #1. I think it's with them not having to suffer the stress of travelling (no jetlag though since each country is just less than 4 hrs flight from each other). The venues are also spread out so it's hard for tourists to travel to support all their teams so less cheers for guests.
Plus, there are more representatives from the host country. Sometimes, the issue with visiting countries is the budget and they have to cut or limit who they can send.

I'm not sure if it's updated but this is the medal tally:
I know Indonesia won gold for mens water polo and Thailand for womens.

Might add this picture as well.... this is the legendary boxer Manny Pacquiao who is holding the torch to lighten up the cauldron. When I am watching this scene, it is very goosebumps because I didn't expect that pacman is there going to the cauldron. It makes me really proud for being a Filipino because of what I saw on today's 30th South East Asian Games.

I was already expecting Manny to light the torch. It was in the news weeks back that he would be the one doing it. Congratulations on a successful opening ceremony. With all the showcase in the ceremony, I am proud to be a Filipino.

Are the events will be streamed? I could not go to the venues because of my busy work schedule but I would love to watch it on live stream, especially basketball events.

since you're a Filipino and probably have access to these channels here is a list of broadcasters(provided to me by lionheart78) that will cover some of the games in Sea games 2019
Pwde mo rin tingnan dito sa official site nila ang mga possible na magtelevise ng laro.  https://2019seagames.com/, andyan kasi ang list of partners nila.

you can check the youtube channels of the mentioned broadcasters above they also live stream the games on their youtube channels although not all sports will be
live-streamed but you might find the sport you're looking for being live-streamed. other than that I have no other links or sites that offer live streams on SEA games.

Then there's the issue with accused sabotage. I was watching the news and Thailand was complaining that the athletes were only given 8 bottles of water daily. Then the whole issue with the pork meals.

If you are going to bet on rankings, you take this in consideration and don't place the host anywhere below #3.

As of today, december 1, 2019 (3:20 AM). The Philippines is currently leading in Sea games having 3 golds and 2 silvers. It seems that the host country will dominate the south east asian games. There are many athletes from many countries that got impressed to the facility that will be use in sea games.

Although the South East Asian Games just started, the Philippines are dominating right from the beginning. Here is the current medal tally.

I do really hope someone in here will focus on creating a thread that we could utilize in betting which country will have the most Gold. Or to create a topic concerning yearly sea games betting competition. This kind of event is really massive and we should not miss this kind of opportunity to bet and to have profit at the same time while enjoying watching this competition.

i think there will be games that may have live streaming but let us not expect that all the games will be available because there are so many games happening at the same time so streaming all together will be impossible so better watch in ABS CBN sports channel for the Updated Filipino games though majority ng i broadcast nila ay mga team fights and boxing in which ma missed natin malamang yong ibang event like taekwondo and pther individual sports.but lets see what will happen soon.

The opening ceremony was epic despite the doubts of the doubters, the organizers and the governing bodies did not listen to critics. Instead they do what's best, now look at the outcome, one of the best opening ceremony in SEA games.

That's true but they are just begun, I hope there will be no more blaming, there are perfect events, even the Olympics coming from wealthy nation are not spare from mistakes and incidents, I hope the media will showcase more than the good side of the events, let's finish this big event before focusing on any bad reports.

I think it's hard to have reports without the failures of the event. As we know, most media providers here in Philippines are biased and so obsessed of bringing down the government.

Yeah, I was shocked when Manny Pacquiao appeared in the middle of the path for the cauldron. I agree that it makes me proud of being a Filipino despite having a lot of issues from the start. This is what we called development through mistakes, the organizers prove that the issues regarding the 30THSEA GAMES are wrong and now they made an event that really makes us proud. Very extravagant!

It's also in the history that the 30th Sea Games happened in the Philippines and lightened up by our famous Senator which is a legendary boxer, Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao.

There just many negatrons that posted the preparation, now they see the reality on how amazing the Sea Games is, the expectations vs reality post were everywhere and even athletes from different countries were impressed. Let's hope for a successful Sea games as well a winning for PH.
The reality hurt those buttheads and for sure what the news will spread out regarding to the success of this opening ceremony. It's good to see how the organizers and those people who helps for the success of this event join hands to make this very appreciated by all the participants and all those fans not only Filipinos but also those from outside the country who are also Watching the event.
