I don't get why some rounds take 2-3 hours, while others take 10-30 minutes. Can someone explain this to me?

Unconfirmed/confirmed should not be affecting the total...

I have the my account page open and I refresh it every now and then so I can see my estimated reward and the total. I keep an eye on total so I know when a round is over then I check the Statistics page to see what my exact reward was. My total was 2.64xxxx bitcoins, I hit refresh to see updated stats and it went to 2.51xxx bitcoins. Sometimes it will go back to normal after a few minutes, but I was alarmed today when the round ended and my reward as added to the lower total. So I just lost some bitcoins. I'm not sure if Slush is even aware of this. Can others please keep an eye on their My account page and see if anyone else is experiencing this?

OK, this is possible in time when blocks are just confirming (once every hour). Confirmation is taking longer time as there are more workers to calculate. But after few seconds it will 'repair' itself (as calculation is done, unconfirmed reward is moved to confirmed). No need to worry about this.

Thank you for confirming what I noticed. The missing amount usually comes back, except the one time it went down and didn't come back before a payout. It's like I'm mining and suddenly my rewards from a round or two ago just disappears.

I've been seeing the same thing today.  A little unnerving to say the least, makes me want to switch pools!   Shocked

No payouts here either, and none of my rewards were from blocks that got rejected by the network.

Any ideas Slush?

No payout was made. I've noticed this for the past 2 days. Here's an example:

No one look at their "my account" page enough to notice sometimes the total reward goes down? I've seen this multiple times a day

Payout?

Yeah worry not, most people I'm sure already sense that he is just trying to scam/beg.

I leave! I will give the BTC
This increase of difficulty on 80 % has made for me unprofitable to continue.
It is ready to give the last 12.41 BTC to the one who will send me 0.1 BTC (I will send on the same address)

As we all know, Bitcoin can't be used unless you mine, so naturally, Groove will want to give away his $107 worth of bitcoins.

Note everyone, someone, probably this person, has already tried to pull this stunt under a different username.

hi,

i'm new here, so maybe this is a very stupid question. i've got on old, very slow computer, with an athlon xp 3000+ cpu (2.16 ghz) and and an amd radeon 7000. At the moment it's mining only the cpu at about 750 khash/s. As far i know, the graphic card doesn't support opencl.

my question is: is it worth continueing mining with this hardware? thanks
The expected generation output, at 750 Khps, given current difficulty of 434882.7217497 , is 0.00173465453491 BTC per day and 7.2277272288e-05 BTC per hour.

if you are heating your living room with it i guess its as good as using any electric radiator(makes more noise tho), but for the mining output? totally worthless

That speed? Not even close to worth it.

Very roughly: I run about 660 m/hash, so close to 1000 times faster. Yesterday I got about 2.5 BTC so about $US20, so that would be 2 cents in your case. Numbers are very rough but answer would be no from any angle I can think of.

How I can get statistics about my miners hashrate from json?
I need it for monitoring that miners work corectly.
It would be a good feature to have added, I don't believe it's available at the moment. Seconds since the last share was submitted for each worker might even be as or more useful for that purpose too because it wouldn't have to be averaged and you could work out your own threshold for when there was a problem.

Bitcoin difficulty changed, it is over 434000 now. With current pool speed at 500GHas/s it will take in average almost exactly one hour to find a block.

Well at least for right now my payouts haven't been affected too greatly.  I am getting around +-.040 BTC per solved block where I was getting +-.05.  We will see if the change in solve rate affects the payout/time, we did just solve one in 14min.  Looks like I am going to need to invest in a new GPU...
Don't forget the change in difficulty will mean the time to solve each block is longer on average, assuming the same total hashrate. How much you get per round would be a function of your hash rate versus the total pool, which will vary as people join, leave or upgrade hardware.
