This was just a comment on someone saying that it takes up to 50 minutes to sort up things... So it is not fresh... Round 17878 did sort up... It took a while(70+ minutes) but it did...

It was me saying that, to support my point that all is correct in long term and that this is not something new.

I don't really see anyone else complaining about variance.  When there is a problem with the site it's usually pretty obvious, because the thread is so flooded with posts that there is no point posting an explanation until things settle down.

Right now it's just you...

:EDIT:  If you have logs that prove your share count is off, post them.  Otherwise I would be curious to know how you are determining that in the first place...
See last pages and you will see that I'm not the only one... This was just a comment on someone saying that it takes up to 50 minutes to sort up things... So it is not fresh... Round 17878 did sort up... It took a while(70+ minutes) but it did...

EDIT: Do you know how cgminer log looks like and you are asking me to post it? Look at one and then rethink...

Once a new round is started - restart your miner, then after few hours check the number of shares submitted as reported from the miner and shown on the website ... If they differ then there is a problem with missing shares - the rest is just luck and score variance.

P.S.
I have variance from 0.0002 to 0.0007 per round, but my 7 day average Graph (https://mining.bitcoin.cz/stats/graphs/) is almost straight line
Yes at yours speeds that makes seance but not at 2+ ghash and long rounds. When I was at 1.5 and when I upgraded there won't such a big variance it started yesterday or day before... And lack of any reassurance from Slush that he looks into this starts to make me think that he is on holidays and something went wrong on stratum side...

why sell something (second hand, that is) that costs less electricty to run then a lightbulb? at worst, just turn it off if the price doesn't justify running it.

IDK but if they are pushing 1TH units one day there really isn't anything the 5GH unit would be good for.

Will you be able to sell an ISA VGA card now?

OK but even 50min+ didn't fix problems. I'm submitting 29,6 shares per minute.

My thinking so far has been buy computer parts (since they are low risk and ebayable) and wait and see what comes to fruition in the real world.  This is just a hobby that pays a little for me at this point and I've got kids and wife to think about so I can't really blow loads of cash on such things.  More power to the guys the can Cheesy

5GH/s ASIC will eventually be unsellable.  You would still likely be able to easily sell video cards though.  I have my GTX680 up (replaced with Radeon) its got more attention then my last 10 auctions lol.

Hi, i had the issue with submitting shares but not registering on my account, is their any further thought on what this might be.

maybe not, just checked and after the "processing stage" after the end of the round it corrected itself :s

It seems, shares are registered in the backend and posted later ... by design or because of connection problems, but seen up to 50min for 'last share at' and then normal reward for a block shorter than that.
I have observed such behavior even before the attack and Slush partially confirmed that in one of his posts. Also even a few sec block takes several minutes to be processed, which is probably, because it waits for all the shares being submitted.
Do not freak out on last few blocks anomalyties - they will (usually) correct themselves later.

OK but even 50min+ didn't fix problems. I'm submitting 29,6 shares per minute. You can't use this info for short blocks but on a long one you can use it. And when you see variances from 0.0062 to 0.0048 with low one missing half of shares with 100 conformations you are not that sure. And cgminer didn't record nothing with network. I do agree that 0.0062 is too much so I'm guessing someone else got there reword down at that time... But anyway with share being submitted every 2 seconds this is a too big of a variance...

EDIT: and the last round looks like 0.0048 again but this time I'm not missing that many shares.

17878   2013-05-06 14:03:29   0:58:16   7793153   1653   0.00488801   234819   25.22870091    97 confirmations

Should be around 1724 shares or about 2 minutes and 25 seconds are missing probably at the end and again noting wrong with connection...

Why day 'Current server load (60 sec average)' =  330-340 getwork/s, but at night it is 450-500 getwork/s ?

Because somewhere else in the world it daytime?

I'm talking about the pool time (GMT)

And still been day time in somewhere. In some US zones are GMT -6, and Asia, as I remember now, have up to GMT+9

I've done some research about the network propagation map on blockchain.info. As far as I can tell it simply shows the first node in the network which confirms the new block. It has nothing to do with the mining pool or the miner who found the block then.
(Sorry but for some reason I cannot quote anything from this thread. It works in others but not here.)

I kind of wish I had gotten a 7970 with a reference style cooler so I could add more cards in the future, but my computer's primary purpose is gaming, so I went with a vapor-x.  Unfortunately I am pretty sure if I tried to stick a second card in there I would run into bad heat problems
