is bitcoin legalized in argentina? If it's not legalized, can it be included in the school curriculum or bitcoin in the school curriculum to introduce schoolchildren to the dangers of investing in bitcoin?
The Argentinian government only banned their banks from buying bitcoin and other digital assets. But that doesn't mean that it's entirely ban from their country, so there's specific rule for the ban.

And for this venture of launching it with their curriculum, if it's not legal then it won't be launched. But since it's there, then it means that it's allowed and legal in application.

More of this to come on their country but this should just be part of a curriculum related to economics and financing. Yet, if it's a separate subject, this is a good introduction to the younger ones.
which is prohibited in argentina transactions using bitcoin, but justify investing bitcoin you mean? In my opinion, if there is no legal regulation from the government, it cannot be introduced to children because it is feared that children will do what is prohibited by the government and will be subject to sanctions. you can cross out because I am new to understanding about crypto rules in argentina.

Bitcoin is GOD
Wow. What a great news for Argentina. High schools consist of student with the age bracket from 10 -20 , their are students who falls in this age some of them won't find it easy to understand bitcoin lessons. For school to really impact knowledge on this high school student,  they should not make bitcoin education to be a compulsory subject for Students, students should choose based on the interest they have for bitcoin.

I wish if the same could be done in my country. The more we educate our youth and children about this bitcoin and crypto currecny, the better it will be for us and for our country.
Not only bitcoin should be taught at school, i think the blockchain programming should also be made as a part fo curriculum in higher classes. This also shows that our youth is interested to know and adopt bitcoin.
It is going to be very difficult for this to happen anytime soon, Argentina is an exception because their economy has been in such a bad shape for so long that the people have no hope at all that the government is going to fix their situation.

So they are always looking for alternatives, and bitcoin has become one of the alternatives they use to try to preserve their wealth, so it seems natural to me they are interested in including bitcoin in the material students have to go through on their high school curriculum.

no wonder some countries have created special curricula for blockchain, specifically bitcoin. right now, crypto is very popular to be discussed, and it could be that out of those 4000 students, some will become crypto developers in the future, who knows. however, this is something that needs to be learned for today's schoolchildren. so that they are familiar with this technology when they see it. right now, there's a lot on the internet about crypto, if they learn about it, maybe they can also make big projects in the future. well, hopefully other countries will also start publishing this curriculum.

With that, it means that information about bitcoin is already spreading in other countries. I believe that in the next generation bitcoin will be more useful in every business.
We arent just minding about business but in overall adoption that we are aiming or hoping for. Recognition and awareness do really progress and now that Bitcoin is been taught on curriculum or including it
which would really make awareness even more wider specially on youth which would be aware of its existence and its pros or benefits and of course into its potential earning opportunity.

Argentina is about to launch bitcoin education in their curriculum,  this is going to take place in 40 High schools with about 4,000 students.  This is  an Interesting news many  bitcoiners have been waiting for,  I think this won't just end in Argentina,  other countries will take this same good  within a short time.

Argentina  is the second highest  bitcoin  adopter in Latin America,  I the reason for the innovation is to make students  know  the importance of bitcoin. The economy of Argentina is suffering in the hands of hyperinflation.

I guess other neigboring countries will also adopt this program once it ended up being successful. Not only the students will benefit from this, but even the country itself will have a brighter future ahead knowing these students could be their only hope for their country to improve and prosper through bitcoin. Educating them at their earlier age about how important bitcoin is could lead into digging up their potentials and their interests in bitcoin.

From what I'm noticing right now, the information of cryptocurrency especially bitcoin has circulated round the world to the extent that internet even made speculation to move beyond human imagination. So either the country accept's bitcoin as a legal tender or don't accept bitcoin as legal tender it will not deprived the academia's who wants to include bitcoin as school curriculum won't include it. Yes, it will have more bond when a country legalize it fully, it will not bother universities to input cryptocurrency as one of their academic curriculum. At this point children will like to know the technology behind of building of cryptocurrencies. And in their own time it will not be difficult for them.

They seem to be going to have a second Zoom virtual meetup in a couple of weeks (09/06/2022), where school directors, teachers and pupils are invited to query the leading team about the project. I figure the idea is to get more schools on-board, and since it’s a country wide project in ambition, it’s probably the best way to participate in the subsequent Q&As first hand.

As I mentioned before on this same thread, the previous Zoom meetup made it clear that the project will be different for each school, based on their specific interests, with the idea of being crypto/blockchain related in broad terms, and not specifically centered on bitcoin (despite the global embracing project being called a suggestive "Proyecto Escuelas y Bitcoin!).

See: https://www.eventbrite.com.ar/e/charla-informativa-proyecto-escuelas-y-bitcoin-tickets-345681782517?aff=erelexpmlt

I’ll try to see the recorded event after it takes place, and see if they relayed anything else that is relevant.

Note: I’m still pretty sceptical that this is technically going to be part of the school formal curriculum.

The Argentine adding Bitcoin into their high school curriculum is a good idea because cryptocurrency is an innovative technology and I could remember when the computer was first introduced then the school add it to their curriculum since it is an innovative technology so adding Bitcoin is the same thing.

You will be surprised that children within the age limit you mention have more comprehensive than adults but they also struggle with keeping them in check at some point so they will be tutored well. However, they are more likely to want their independence and are also influenced by friends. Do you hear the story of the 12 year old boy who became a millionaire through NFT?

Does anyone know the nature of the content being taught or is it just lessons on how to use Bitcoin?

It would be good if vocabulary such as inflation, investing, money, how to save money, currency pegs, why currencies depreciate, how to hedge against inflation, financial education, financial independence and other policies in the economy are taught to students at an early age and Bitcoin is taken as a model for a decentralized project Open source.

Overall, I hope the step will be more educational than how to send bitcoins.
Exactly if the curriculum will contain a wide range of other important topics such as the blockchain, fiscal policy, economic derivation and financial education, software development and computer usage and several others. This may be a good move towards financial education if the idea is properly actualize will the right tools in place.

God is great

Are they going to teach them about blockchain or how to invest in bitcoin and those stuffs?
I don't think if investing and trading is part of the project,  the project is more of educating students more about bitcoin and technical aspects of bitcoin,  blockchain,  also educating students about finance.

This was inevitable but a good thing though. At least the kids will know something about bitcoin and how they work. This will make them aware of the pros and cons of current fiat system vs crypto currencies. And true. It won't end with Argentina, more countries will eventually follow them and more schools will teach those kids about bitcoin. The earlier they start, the better.
The people of Argentina have more interest for cryptocurrency,  it is important the young people get education about bitcoin, and other economics related to survive the serious inflation challenge.

40 high schools isn't as big of a step as some others did (for example, France added Blockchain and cryptos into the overall school curriculum, not as an experiment in a bunch of schools), but it's still better than nothing.
Exactly, it's way better than nothing because those students anyway will be able to understand and explain what bitcoin is also to their families, friends, etc, and we all have to start somewhere. Also I don't think it's fair comparing Argentina and France, we're talking about 2 completely different countries and economies.
And besides it was only at experimental phase but as soon as this becomes a success, chances are that they will add more schools or possibly make btc as a legal course and subject not just on high school but also on grade school or lower and on college or much higher if there's any.

It was mostly on school where we can learn stuffs. This is where it starts, so adding bitcoin on curriculum can be an effective way to introduce btc to the kids and adults. It's better that if they can learn it early because bitcoin as well as blockchain is still on the middle of their run (not too early and not too late) but the more it becomes popular and in demand the more the careers that it will unlock. This is a good livelihood for someone else.

bitcoin or more generally cryptocurrencies, it is proper to start being taught in schools, especially schools that have a technology and communication base and computer science. even in the field of accounting (economics) must be inserted with this lesson. because after all bitcoin has now entered the realm of the world economy. many people have depended on and run or got into the crypto world for economic reasons.

great to hear that they are starting early. most countries are integrating crypto and other blockchain related courses during their tertiary education. in time, with all these younger gen, they will be the front runners of their economy. i hope this initiative will eventually assist their country in addressing the corruption issues. we will see the impact in the next years to come. this gen may find better ways how to support themselves and uplift their economy for the better.

Yes, imagine a country where cryptocurrency is being taught in every student, at a young age it can create an interest and will result for them to try to invest in the future. It will help them to manage their asset and help them to succeed. It will be good to the country economy, I just hope that here in my country, it will be teach to every youth as well, so they will have more time for this rather than doing non sense things.

At young age they are been educated with things they need to know since the world is evolving and its good for their government to insert crypto/bitcoin on their curriculum because from this they can teach there students to be literate on this industry and they can avoid being left around once crypto adoption became legal on most of the country. I hope this will also be included on all school in all of the world since children's need to know about this since at early stage of their life for sure they can use this for their own good in future.
It would be good if it would be applied globally but we know that not all corners of the world would really be having that positive views or inputs towards Bitcoin which it wouldnt really be something
new that they would be going against with that idea but for those place who had considered specially on to those pro-bitcoin countries will surely be having these kind of step up which
is really good since it do really add up on overall adoption and recognition which we do really need up.
