The curriculum is the unit upon which education is based, and it shows that the government, particularly the education minister in Argentina, has been very open about the very important Bitcoin students. It is remarkable that making Bitcoin one of the mandatory curriculum would be an educational goal to be achieved. I would like to thank the Argentine government as well as all those who have proposed Bitcoin as an educational curriculum.

It is hoped that this movement will become a movement that can serve as an example for other countries of how important knowledge about Bitcoin is for the future of the younger generation.

They miss that thing as these teachers and professors wanted to make their students just work after graduation.

They just teach us how to account for expenses and incoming money but do not teach us how to invest and where we put our money if we already have it. In fact, I'd learn how to invest outside school, from friends, and from social media.
May having Bitcoin in the school curriculum is a good idea to spread awareness but also it is a need to include the discussion about blockchain technology.

I mean, the norm is to get a job after graduation in the first place. It's not as if you can already start your investment career immediately out of graduation, as you're likely to not have much capital to invest yet.

As for blockchain technology in general — unless it's some sort of computer science class, I don't think it's worth the time to dig too much into blockchain.

Does anyone know the nature of the content being taught or is it just lessons on how to use Bitcoin?
It might just be the beginning of something that will have a big impact in the future. So maybe we don't know what they will teach specifically other than just the basics of knowledge about bitcoin.

It would be good if vocabulary such as inflation, investing, money, how to save money, currency pegs, why currencies depreciate, how to hedge against inflation, financial education, financial independence and other policies in the economy are taught to students at an early age and Bitcoin is taken as a model for a decentralized project Open source.
It seems that it has been in the curriculum for a long time even though the teachings are still very basic. I've studied economics since junior high school and also high school, but as I said it's still a general study that is not specific about specific investments.

Argentina takes a big step to educate its thousands of students about bitcoin every year, it will be a very good thing where there is hope that the next generation will be a generation that understands crypto better.

Always there arises a question why bitcoin. The better outcome takes place educating students about blockchain technology. It would be very practical when taught about the technology along with finance. Most of the time students doesn't know what they're studying and where it can be used. When we teach technology students will understand the wide usage of blockchain technology which can be used anywhere. Further taking the technology to financial effectiveness is the bitcoin. Good initiative, which needs more planning as the students easily grab it.

To be honest I'd rather prefer if schools had a subject of investing and finance by default, rather than Bitcoin specifically. Explain to the students how to save money and what investment instruments are available, then just let them decide themselves what they should invest in and what the allocations are.

Argentina is about to launch bitcoin education in their curriculum,  this is going to take place in 40 High schools with about 4,000 students.
I dare say 40 schools in argentina are 'amazing' where other countries learn Bitcoin only as a group method in schools, But it's a different story in Argentina. This 'curriculum' is the most amazing thing I've ever seen.

Meaning: Bitcoin has become a legal subject, which students must study, Bitcoin lessons will automatically be included in the curriculum exam in every period conducted by the local school.

I am sure that in the future, if schools in Argentina include Bitcoin in the curriculum, from now onwards the Argentinean community will already know and memorize Bitcoin, it will not be something foreign to them in the future.

Like what the other members said. This is great news that can help spread bitcoin among young people so they can know what's going on in the internet world. This also opens up opportunities for them to own digital assets and they can start investing while they are still young to prepare for their future.

If this succeeds in Argentina, other countries will surely follow suit and gradually, more and more young people will join the crypto world.

A very great development here to the bitcoin world. News like this gives hope for those that have invested in this project and those waiting and having intention to do the same. Time will tell as am sure more countries will be looking to adopt this in their school curriculum not only in higher institutions but in high schools too. Bitcoin is here to stay and will leverage in its true intent all around the world with time.

Yeah, I always said that economics and finances should be mandatory from an earlier age in schools. Teaching people about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies committing personal finances and the risks of investing will only do half of the job. Of course, we; 're in the dark here and we don't know what they are teaching them exactly about BTC and what aspect will be favored in this but I do wish it will focus on the things bitcoin fixes and the importance in personal security and it will leave anything related to price out of it.

Yea we definitely lack info, but I sure damn hope they make very clear the risks of buying cryptocurrencies. The last thing they'd want is their students gambling with random cryptocurrencies. This is one of those things that if done wrong, could do far more damage than good.

Well, thats good news, meaning that the Argentinians are already seen the potential of Bitcoin thats why they introduced it to their students. Anyway, I believe that this piece of good news will not end only in Argentina because even in my country there's also a buzz to introduce it in our schools its called the cryptocurrency 101, and hopefully, it will be realized soon because my country is crypto friendly and very open to this industry.

I don't request loans~
I'm rather curious how the curriculum would go though. History for crypto is only a decade long so far, and I don't think it's going to take up much with what Bitcoin is and the basic explanation of what blockchain is. I don't think the discussion would move towards investments/trading type of stuff, that is if it went into the specifics. It might just be better to just include Bitcoin (or crypto) as a small of a general course about investments like what mk4 said so that people actually know what investments are and what they can bring to your average investor.

A huge development for Argentina where schools are starting to adopt Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in their curriculum. How I wish that the Philippines would also be like that in the future. It’s all about educating the masses about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in a positive way, especially in letting them aware of the real use cases of it. It’s just right for these schools in order for the future generation not to be left behind on the future of digital money and investments.

Instead of jumping into any conclusion, let's wait till you see it in reality. Many times the government uses such tools to spread negativity about something they don't like. For example, in India, the government is slowly erasing the actual history of freedom fighters and pushing their own organization as a savior of India under British rule. Make sure such kind of things are not happening there as well.

If bitcoin is introduced under a positive note, then it should be fine!

This is no doubt a great news.
But my first question is that is Bitcoin legalised in Argentina?
As if it’s not legal, then i fear that Government will interfere in the later period of time.
Also at first Bitcoins should be made legal in that specific countries before introducing it in the curriculum.
Also I have another doubt that, what exactly they are teaching the students? Is it only about Bitcoins or also about the Blockchain.
Will glad to see a detailed article on this good news.
Also if possible try to interview one of the students and ask them about their experience for the curriculum.

Yes it is good if schools teach students investing and finance and also teach them on how save . If schools also decide to give students bitcoin education it is also a good idea for them to know bitcoin but it shouldn't be a must every students must invest, only students who have interest in bitcoin.

I think the students will be taught based on what is in their curriculum and not just investment and finance. First I believe the schools will impact basic knowledge of bitcoin to their students thereby teaching them the imperative things as beginners. Furthermore, it is their learning ability and interest ratio that will determine if they will venture into teaching them about investment and finance.

I've done a bit of digging but come out a bit empty-handed, it's Spanish and I'm not really good at it, plus google makes a mess of translating, better without it.

Here is the website of the NGO that is involved in the courses:
https://bitcoinargentina.org/charlas-introductorias/
https://bitcoinargentina.org/que-es-blockchain/
And here is their youtube channel with a  few of the videos:
https://www.youtube.com/c/OngBitcoinArgentina/videos

Some are basic good, short pretty accurate videos, some are one hour long interviews, some have names that I could live without, trading, NFTs, and this one..."¿Puede un Bitcoin llegar a valer un millón de dólares?" I don't want to know what's in there honestly.  Grin

LE:
Seems like this is a video about the description of the project
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1o1HoMHljEfMHy6osM6IPSUQlUVVn6He5/view
so if you know Spanish, take a look at it.

From this stages and began to teach student of bitcoin is good. But if the plan is to teach the investment kind of bitcoin i think is wrong. Teaching student of under age investment of bitcoin will cause stealing of parents funds. But if the school teaches the building and development and the techniques of bitcoin for future time. It will give support for the up coming crypto generation. And some countries have not start the journey of bitcoin yet. If Argentina bitcoin news is not widespread out, teaching youths the uses of bitcoin is a smart move for the pupils, including adults

I think this bitcoin and blockchain technology is just a part of their financial or maybe technology subjects. It's just high school. By introducing blockchain technology to these high school students, some of them might be interested and will proceed further when they enter college. Argentina just wanted not to get behind especially with their already struggling economy. It's just like the old Japanese kingdom sending some of its scholars to Europe and the United States to study and learn their technology, financial system, war machineries, etc. This is a good start for Argentina. And I hope my country will do the same.

I think they will learn about material about bitcoin but not advice on investment because it depends on personal decisions, but the focus of the curriculum on cryptocurrencies includes a general perspective on investing so that they are knowledgeable before investing in risky market patterns.

Overall, I hope the step will be more educational than how to send bitcoins.
