Came across the detailing from @DdmrDdmr, and from that it is clear to know everything isn't bitcoin centred. It is multidisciplinary that focus on educating people and the need of decentralised technologies. The interesting thing out of this according to me is the individual project from every group. Maybe this will help the blockchain technology grow stronger with time. Also the project from these kids could evolve as an innovation.

Good to see that school are now adding something useful rather then teaching them fictional stories always and let them be known to financial revolution that can change their life ahead. These topics if are implemented at an early age with proper guidance and showing them how it works will have big impact on them but don't need to burden them by going into too technical parts of it and also teach them investing and using bitcoin which is more important.

Argentina is about to launch bitcoin education in their curriculum

this is another win on the edge of adoption for bitcoin, when this is imcluded in the high school curriculum, then jt give an early exposure of our young youths the full knowledge about of bitcoin just as in finance and economics which are taught on the fiat application, bitcoin as well will make a huge difference when taught becau its a degital decentralized currency entirely different from fiat amd i appreciate the fact that it was bitcoin introduced and not other crypto which could create a mind stir.

I would also love to know what the content of this course is, be it the concept of bitcoin, the technology behind and the era of decentralization, or the basics of investing.

It would be better if they applied bitcoin training and a finance and investment course in parallel. Because at this age, students are mature enough to be able to absorb and familiarize themselves with investment tools to make money.

A Bitcoiner chooses. A slave obeys.
It feels like to me that Argentina is planning something big if 40 high schools are planning to launch bitcoin in their curriculum. I mean education is official government level stuff, you cannot really start making up curriculums based on how school principles/school boards want them to be. As I understand it, if the government of Argentina had a hand in this then there is obviously a future market incoming and they are preparing their citizens for a glorious bitcoin future.

I am quite excited.

With inflation above 50% in Argentina, I think they will soon accept bitcoin as legal.
Making Bitcoin a legal tender wouldn't help them actually, don't get me wrong, if it was in my power i would wish every country to make Bitcoin a legal tender. But to think about it, a country struggling with inflation wouldn't or rather shouldn't think about accepting an alternative currency, i don't think or see how that can help their situation at all. So i am pretty sure the Argentine government aren't considering the above i'm afraid.

I know Bitcoin legalization won't completely get Argentina out of inflation, I mean we all know bitcoin has helped a lot of people with steady income jobs and even made a lot of people rich. If the Argentine government legalizes bitcoin, it will contribute to raising awareness among the people and they will be more open to finding jobs related to bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Since then people's income will be better and once people's life is better, inflation will be reduced somewhat.

Bitcoin is GOD
To be honest I'd rather prefer if schools had a subject of investing and finance by default, rather than Bitcoin specifically. Explain to the students how to save money and what investment instruments are available, then just let them decide themselves what they should invest in and what the allocations are.
True, however we need to wonder why this is not the case already? If people are going to have to work for most of their life to earn money, then why something like this is not already part of the subjects they have to study?

And at least to me the only conclusion I can reach is that this is by design, in an economic model based on debt and endless consumption then people need to remain ignorant about how to use their money in more effective ways, otherwise we may see a sharp decrease in the consumption of useless products and a lot of people retiring early, which will be good for them but not for the economy.

Does anyone know the nature of the content being taught or is it just lessons on how to use Bitcoin?

It would be good if vocabulary such as inflation, investing, money, how to save money, currency pegs, why currencies depreciate, how to hedge against inflation, financial education, financial independence and other policies in the economy are taught to students at an early age and Bitcoin is taken as a model for a decentralized project Open source.

Overall, I hope the step will be more educational than how to send bitcoins.

Exactly my thoughts. Too many people don't understand why Bitcoin works in practice and why traditional currencies are outdated. Any courses on Bitcoin needs to include information on various economic theories. Laissez-faire economics/capitalism and supply and demand would be foundational.

Most educational institutions unironically explore Marxism more than they do anything related to free markets. Granted they don't apply to high schools as much, but it's better to highlight cryptocurrency and capitalism at an early age instead of communist indoctrination.

Argentina is about to launch bitcoin education in their curriculum,  this is going to take place in 40 High schools with about 4,000 students.  This is  an Interesting news many  bitcoiners have been waiting for,  I think this won't just end in Argentina,  other countries will take this same good  within a short time.

Argentina  is the second highest  bitcoin  adopter in Latin America,  I the reason for the innovation is to make students  know  the importance of bitcoin. The economy of Argentina is suffering in the hands of hyperinflation.

It's interesting to see this sort of education taking place, but I think the people of Argentina have many other problems that need resolving before stepping to this conclusion. They should really be teaching about the wider blockchain technology in general as that is the underlying and useful architecture to the whole system - a transparent decentralized ledger. I'm not sure how much depth they'll really be going into with this project and it might just be a cursory overview, as there are many financial instruments out there which do not get nearly enough coverage in early education and could be just as useful to learn about as Bitcoin.

This news is a positive development in all ramifications. Yes students need to be exposed to financial education, savings and investment, but introducing them to Bitcoin gives them alternative investment opportunities. I am a classroom teacher, I will tell you specifically that 99% of my students know nothing about Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. Regardless of the financial education you give to them, Bitcoin will never be an investment option for them because they are ignorant of its existence. Bitcoin Argentina, Paxful and Built With Bitcoin Foundation  is giving these students and teachers an uncommon opportunity to see the future and take advantage of the opportunities the future offer. I am just wishing that one day government would reconsider its polices on cryptocurrencies and such opportunity would be extended to schools in my homeland.

While Bitcoin adoption in any shape or form is definitely great, let's not act as if bitcoin has been performing well in this inflation season lol. Though yea sure I guess if Argentina's 50% inflation continues multi-year or if it gets worse, then I guess bitcoin could still outperform their currency.

This is awesome, Great to see that Argentina are taking the bold step to imbedding Crypto-Currency in their Younger ones, by adding it to their curriculum. I believe this would help the future of Argentina in terms of Crypto-currrency, the adoption would be more especially when they young ones learn about Crypto-currency very early, I would love to see other countries around the world emulating this giant steps taking by Argentina.
Yes, this is very good news and will set an example for other countries to incorporate bitcoin or crypto into their high school curriculum.
because bitcoin or crypto is the future they have to know, understand and study and for their future too, Argentina is doing very well and high school is the right choice to educate bitcoin or crypto early on and usually other countries will follow after there is development positive.

I do think monetary education, in general, is important, and investing comes along in that basket, but what is more important is what crypto can teach us on a technological and sociological level. We need to educate the new generations on it in order to have a better understanding and a better future for crypto be it BTC or something else and to avoid the pitfalls of monetary knowledge of the old.
I agree with you, not only about the crypto knowledge but the financial education. It's crazy that at school they teach you things that we know no one is gonna ever use in their lives unless they choose a very specific path, but something very important like money management is completely ignored.

I think that it is essential to mention that it's not just the schools but also top universities who have added bitcoins in their curriculum as well. There are also special courses you can do related to bitcoins. For example:
MIT
Havard
Oxford
Cornell
You can read more about each of them here : https://www.google.com/amp/s/cointelegraph.com/news/top-universities-have-added-crypto-to-the-curriculum/amp
Not just that there are also local colleges in places like the UK as well where people are being taught about bitcoins, it's an old news and definitely bitcoins is doing well for the aspirants, even there is news about China developing courses for Blockchain specialization which would eventually help them get higher jobs in the future. It's definitely an interesting aspect and every techno. College must have bitcoins included no doubt.

As if it’s not legal, then i fear that Government will interfere in the later period of time.

With inflation above 50% in Argentina, I think they will soon accept bitcoin as legal. Interest in cryptocurrencies has grown in Argentina in recent years, crypto in Argentina are considered to be quite open and do not have any bans. OP has said that 40 high schools will put bitcoin in the curriculum, this is not a test but a mass adoption. I think the Argentine ministry of education has had discussions before and may have gotten the government's approval before they dared to adopt it widely.

Education is the foundation of future, and in order to increase the penetration of bitcoin in economy, its very important to educate the young. So its a good start for Argentina and we will see that more schools will follow the suit. The important point to make a note of is about the way it is taught and how educated youth can make new innovative solutions in bitcoin economy.

There are lies, damned lies and statistics. MTwain
This entry in the NGO’s website very briefly describes the project (GT):
https://bitcoinargentina-org.translate.goog/proyecto-escuelas-y-bitcoin/?_x_tr_sl=es&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=es&_x_tr_pto=wapp

All in all:
-   It´s a joint educational venture involving the said NGO Bitcoin Argentina, Paxful and the Built With Bitcoin Foundation, with a timeframe set for 2022 and 2023.

-   Scope: Teachers, educational institutions, students (last years of secondary school).

-   Target: 40 educational institutions (Schools and such), involving 4.000 students.

-   It looks like the different groups will elaborate educational material themselves as part of their education (I figure there must be some kind of introductory common ground).

<…>
The video link is, indeed, a 50+ minute recording of an online event where the project was formally presented. I’ve skimmed through most of the video, and taken the following extracts from the content:

-   The goal is to spread knowledge on the potential of decentralized technologies, with a certain focus on letting people become acquainted with these capabilities and determining their vocation to this industry.

-   To do so, they focus on introducing tools related to decentralized technologies.

-   The program includes some introductory lectures (finance, defi, Bitcoin, etc.), alongside practical workshops on blockchain (perhaps with closer attention to that applicable to each specific group and their environment).

-   Each group will have a mentor from the industry, that will help the group develop material to describe a use case (project) of their interest.

-   The projects are then shared between the schools.

-   The specific group projects start in August 2022, through to end of 2023.

-   They are not going to talk about investments, trading and stuff like that.

-   The projects themselves can be multidisciplinary, not solely focused on technology (i.e. economy, finances, etc. They can be investigation related, or practical, Bitcoin centered or not.

-   The idea is to reach out to schools throughout the country (meaning that likely not all those that want to participate will eventually be able to – i.e. if there is a concentration of demand in  certain region).

I think it’s a fine idea, with an individualized (per school) project based on the schools capabilities, interests, and perhaps surrounding industry.

The above, however, depicts enough to say that the core center is not bitcoin, but rather, any crypto/blockchain related project that the school is actually interested in working on. Each school will have their own custom project.
