No, not 80%, but 90. I very often encounter fraudsters, so I am completely confident that this industry should be substantially changed and improved.
Each of us communicates with scammers, and each of us was deceived more than once, with each year it becomes more and more, it becomes sad. It turns out that where money is spinning, scammers are always out there. And cryptomir is a world of big money, so that you will have to deal with scammers more than once.

I read somewhere that even an even greater percentage of ISO is just scammers and I think that this is a true truth, because he himself was convinced of how many swindlers and how much money they had already stolen from investors

No ,this is not true ,approximately 50% of Icos are pure scam ,20% -hidden scam 30 % are good projects with  great future if their teams will continue developing them .So it means that only 70% Icos are scam.

The largest number of scammers in the ICO. Therefore, carefully check the project before entrusting your money. Pay special attention to the development team, it should be public people with profiles in social networks. Do not be lazy to check these profiles, whether they are real. Well, if the team has people who have already participated in successful projects.

Saw this study on twitter... https://twitter.com/Zeex_me/status/978981735101878272

I've seen a lot of people asking about how many legit ICOs there are, so I thought I'd share

Quote from the article: "The study begins by breaking down ICOs into 6 groups: Scam, Failed, Gone Dead, Dwindling, Promising, Successful. “On the basis of the above classification,” they wrote, “we found that approximately 81% of ICO’s were Scams, ~6% Failed, ~5% had Gone Dead, and ~8% went on to trade on a exchange.”

"Scams were defined by researchers as “Any project that expressed availability of [an] ICO investment (through a website publishing, ANN thread, or social media posting with a contribution address), did not have/had no intention of fulfilling project development duties with the funds, and/or was deemed by the community (message boards, website or other online information) to be a scam.”

DYOR people ...

Unfortunately, the report is somewhat right. Many ICOs are just riding the hype of the blockchain and crypto technology that they are being to deceive many people who don't fully study and research what they are investing.

Sorry, this is one of our greatest strains right now. Because people are afraid to invest because of such bad projects. This too is affecting the future of bitcoin.

Its depend to us if we believe that 80% of the ICO from now is totally scam. We are in a possesion of the problem especially in choosing ICO. And sometimes we also have a problem so we think they have the less. There are so many project that are being potentially to be a good project soon. But we are just supposed to have a trust to whom we trust.
I fully agree that there are a lot of good projects with a great future, just how to distinguish them from scammers? You study the project, the idea is not bad, the plans are also chic, the platform is good. As soon as time comes for rewarding, and in response, silence. And then disappear, like as if there was no company.

At the current market condition many ICO are falling and the project team stop ICO. Only some good ICO are success now days, Many countries are banned or regulated crypto currency and it will effect in ICO . Many new ICO's are generating every day, most of them are scam, when you choose a good ICO you should learn from the project and team, read road map and whitepaper, ICO is good investment platform and you can earn good bonus from ICO, if the project success you can earn good money from ICO

I think 80% is not correct, and 99% ico is a fraud. There have been tens of thousands of ico since 2017, but there are only a few hundred valuable ico, so invest in ico carefully.

Unfortunately that is true. When you think about it this was expected because there is no governing authority that will overlook and regulate ICOs but on the other hand we wouldn't want someone having that kind of power now would we? It's a difficult problem to solve.

90% of ICO should be fraudulent, and the remaining 10% will have a chance to succeed! I think investing in ICO is similar to buying a lottery! I do not recommend investing in any ICO projec

I agree with you and also believe that recently a lot of scams in the ICO.
I also agree, but in fact there are projects that are very promising today and if you specify that the scam projects started to appear with more force precisely in the year 208, then I will completely agree with you.

I do not think this statement is true. You can not label the whole ecosystem of ICO that people spend years to develop their project and many investors having understood the project invest their hard earn fund into these projects!
80% of ICOS are scam? Hmm, just like the other's opinion I don't believe that 80% of ICOS are scams but we can really avoid scam for your information if we will study and read a lot about projects and when we do not rush things. I can say that there are ICOS which still profitable.

%80 is good ratio for scams, in my opinion %90 ico's are scam and they will all disappear from crypto market.
Thats why, major cryptos like Btc and Eth will go their way.

It should not  become that  time-consuming to detect a hoax ITO, simply test the members with their linkedin experiences prudently and choose if they look authentic.

Yes, agreed. You need to be careful while investing on alt coins. Always do the research, I had a bad experience with one of the ICO where my investemnt stands at 90% loss. Project is dead.
