Yes, I agree. I take part in various bounty campaigns. Of all, about 70-80% of scum or dead. But there are those who work and very well ..
I don't think that the ICO are all so badly. Judging from my experience, bad companies are about 20%. 80% of scammers, it turns out that there are less than a hundred real tokens on the market.

The fact is that there are a lot of companies that have a very weak team, which is aimed only at obtaining money from investors, but very little care about the development of its project. It is because of this that most companies die, let them have a good idea.

Yes, I agree. It is not scam in every projects, just some of them have too weak team and project haven’t got any possibilities to become promising.

Saw this study on twitter... https://twitter.com/Zeex_me/status/978981735101878272

I've seen a lot of people asking about how many legit ICOs there are, so I thought I'd share

Quote from the article: "The study begins by breaking down ICOs into 6 groups: Scam, Failed, Gone Dead, Dwindling, Promising, Successful. “On the basis of the above classification,” they wrote, “we found that approximately 81% of ICO’s were Scams, ~6% Failed, ~5% had Gone Dead, and ~8% went on to trade on a exchange.”

"Scams were defined by researchers as “Any project that expressed availability of [an] ICO investment (through a website publishing, ANN thread, or social media posting with a contribution address), did not have/had no intention of fulfilling project development duties with the funds, and/or was deemed by the community (message boards, website or other online information) to be a scam.”

DYOR people ...

Before you participate in the ICO, you need to carefully study and analyze the project. Such a number of fraudulent projects appeared because most investors do not analyze the projects and invest money in everything and scammers use it. I believe that a thorough analysis will help to avoid losing money.

A large number of new ICO are dishonest. But among such projects it is necessary to choose promising projects with good technology. The main thing is to properly study all information about ICO and make a decision on investing. If you doubt the honest conduct ICO you can participate in the bounty program.

Yes, it is difficult to find a good project now.  And now there are a lot of scam projects.  I hope in the future the situation will improve.

I think its obvious to assess if the ico was a scam or not. Some of the probability that the ico is a scam, if the ico have no working product. If the ico have no working product and they only focuses on the marketing and the price prediction of its ico token price. It is best to stay away with this ico.

To avoid scam, you should to analyze projects independently, as well as to use proven resources, ratings and sites. Scam in ICO is very much, as in all crypto.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the author of the topic. Scams very much. But the scammers are under 80 %. Most of the ICO are just weak and unviable projects. This is just a bad project to invest in and you can quickly understand this after studying the project.

It is true that scam ICOs already dominated the market but there are still some good ones that are on market. Bodies like SEC already tries to control this but because of the nature of cryptocurrency it is not something that is easy to control. With research, it is still possible to see the one's that are not scam.

80% is a scam but 20% are innovative startups with great potential for growth. Each of us wants to make money quickly and for this people are looking for a good ICO with which they can make a profit.

I think for those people who follow the projects this figure should not cause much surprise, you can often hear 99% and here is a very truthful figure. Only those who lead the data forget that this is the primary attraction of money, and the analysis should not be for the first half of the year but for the first 2 years. Kickstarter when raising money does not say that the project is cheating after 3 months.

Indeed, this year the number of scam ICO's increased, and it gives a big impact on a legit project for the reason that the number of investors who invest in a project is decreased because of many investors now are losing their profit.

I think your opinion should be seen by most investors. At present, most ico is developing normally. But big investors have actually lost a lot of money.

I think most ICO is risky, and many of the ICO we see are fraudulent, and people should be very careful about what they put their money into.
Most Icos are scams. Their usual goal is to deceive people with big promises and fictional products

It seems to me that the scam of projects is less than 80%, but a really good promising project is now very difficult to find.

$100k per 1 BTC in Year 2020
July 15, 2018, 02:54:55 PM
2017 is the worse year for ICO because people are just following the hype and not the product, because of that scam ICO are massive at that time we can compare it to the dotcom bubble, people are excited about the new trend and at the end the day it did not deliver will. I hope 2018 - 2019 will be a great year for ICO.
