This happens in all new areas. Let's remember DOT COM, there must have been 95-99% of fraudulent companies. But units worthy have changed the world such as Google and Amazon.

I can say that you are exaggerating a bit,  because it is no evidence that 80% of ICO are a scam Projects. Probably you meant that they fail or have not enough success in your opinion. But this is definitely not what the scam is.

I believe that soon ICO process would be transferred into something else similar to what we are heading in IPO, because right now ICO is the perfect tool to steal money from people. You can never know who will deceive you.

I wouldn't say that most ICOs are scam, but rather will never lead to anywhere, like most businesses. The space is too crowded. Most are not worth it, but necessarily a scam.

The author is the captain of the evidence? Well, in fact, not even 80%, but 95%. By and large, even those coins that are now worth something in the end will not be needed by anyone and will not reach the stage of the finished product.

Well it depends on the type of ICO. When real persons are behind the ICO's, it decreases the chance of frauds by 90% because everyone deserves respect. There are rare chances that someone takes away money of the people and ruins his/her own social media presence or internet life. Thus, i suggest you to believe in legit ICO's.

I think it's wrong if you say 80% of ICO is a fraud. For this, I follow the ICO project running smoothly and I get the results of my coins to promote the ICO. And as a result, there is a lot there is also a bit, of course, it all depends on the market condition and the developing team.

Many ICO's are just hype. They spend money in getting a good site and building hype around it and after collecting huge sums of money, they never bother about developing the actual product. That's why we need to be more careful when selecting an ICO

I'm always interested in the question - from where does such an exact figure of 80 ?? You can say - "more than half" or "more than two-thirds >2/3".

I agree. The message to do your own due diligence cannot be emphasized enough. I would say 90 percent of ICOs are scams or ultimately worthless. The days of getting rich from randomly picking ICOs are long gone. It's time to pick coins with strong teams and products.

Let me ask you something. Do you even pay attention to legit projects? The problem is, legit projects are buried under the tremendous amount of scam projects. And I am baffled by how many people invest in scamcoins because their don't do their research. Now, just a few points about our project that make it clear it's something solid and legit.

1)We reached 99k+ members in our Telegram group and we had to create a second group because our community was expanding too fast, and our goal is to reach a 200K Telegram community. None of the other ICOs has a 200k Telegram community.

2)We made a partnership with the French electronic giant Archos (https://www.archos.com) for their Crypto devices.

They would never partner with us if we were not legit.

I've analysed all ICOs I participated or noticed for last half a year and just all of them besides Merculet, Egretia, Libra Credit are in deep loss. My conclusion is that it is better invest in hype projects with low cap and small allocation, when project is gonna hit exchanges within a week-month after ICO

You're right.
Too many scam ICOs started to emerge. 80% of ICOs on the market are scam. However, 5% is making good money.
Good research is needed to get into a solid ICO.

I do not think this statement is true. You can not label the whole ecosystem of ICO that people spend years to develop their project and many investors having understood the project invest their hard earn fund into these projects!

Now investing in ico is a huge risk. Unfortunately, a lot of scam projects have appeared recently and this has a negative impact on projects that have good ideas and could become useful for the society in the future.

It is entirely your fault if you choose to support scam projects and not legit projects.

The percentage just comes as a shock. Scammers create a fake website and use their knowledge and skills to trick people who are not very well versed in the crypto industry. We just need to get better at figuring it out and not go at them.

I think it's not true. At least 50 percent ICO's are scams otherwise some of them are true.

Yes this is sad fact, which harms the cripto industry very much, good projects have no chance to survive as the investors are suspicious. I think the whole community should fight against scams, especially this comes to the rating platforms, they should have realistic rates and not paid. I like www.icoguide.com in this regard, the page is developing and new, but it tries to have real scores.
