True, it's ridiculous right now. Some call it airdrop even though they need to send some eth to receive some shit-tokens  Roll Eyes

Everything that is profitable must have a cost. you must put that in mind as an investor. free things  sometimes are of no good, most of the airdrop tokens are either valueless or scams. be very careful where you give your details

I've joined many airdrops and i have to say that most of them have no value. But once you got good airdrop, it can give you decent profit (at least worth the time). That's why i'm still joining the airdrop occasionally as long as i don't have to donate.

So why spend time on them? Just because everyone is fascinated by the idea of getting something for free? Then I'll disappoint you: airdrop is not "free" tokens. You just sell your personal info to organizations, but more often to groups of scammers who will resell your data to spammers sending you thousands of phishing and malware mails.

Though yesterday I've seen that the project I really like and invested in is making an airdrop, and yeah, I've participated in it. But I'll never sell my data to scammers for 1$.

I know that airdrop especially scam airdrop is one of the ways to collect your data like email, eth address and sell your data to someone for certain purpose. That's why i have an email and an eth address that only specified for the airdrop instead of using my primary email and address.

The title of this thread is bit provocative, but the fact is that most people have a bad experience with airdrops. According to several airdrop hunters I spoke to, the majority ICOs don't pay out at all.

What's your experience with airdrops? Did you get scammed most of the times?

You want to get coins for free and in your mind such coins must be profitable. I understand your desire but it doesn’t happen like this all the time. Moreover often airdrops doesn’t grow any higher.

You are correct if any new altcoin is only doing airdrop that dont mean that their price will open high and give you high returns. out of 10 airdrop even if 1 airdrop give you high profit that is also a good profit. Because you are getting free money by doing small task. But if you calculate whole profit from all airdrop then you will see that adding all airdrop profit is higher then your other tasks like gambling or trading also.

I have always seen the airdrops as waste of time. I have participated in a few airdrops in the past, and I got nothing from these. So, I don't spend time for airdrops anymore.

99% is way high for me if we talk about scam airdrops. I do my research and perform fairly well so far.
It is time consuming, but if the job is done correctly that percentage is way lower.

If you are to make declarative assertion, it should be backed by data. The numbers is what gives credence to your submission. Most airdrops are scam, many wont give you the tokens at the time you want them but they will definitely deliver. i have waited for tokens for almost 3 months but i finally got them.

what do you mean ? know, airdrop is a free token distribution. if you do not get airdrop, it is likely that too many participants have registered. but however most airdrops do not have a good chance and the value does not have a big after entering the market.

I often participate in airdrops and I get a lot of coins and tokens, which it is really difficult to sell at a good price.

Really, the bulk is fraud. Do not waste your time on this. I had my own experience in 2017. Out of 100% of companies, tokens sent 3-5%. Of these tokens now traded on the stock exchange only 2. Draw conclusions themselves.

Actually I have a good experience on many airdrops and I gain tokens that really worth it and it happened last year but now I'm very disappointed on what happened in airdrops because most of them are fake and worthless.

Do not think that by participating in airdrops or alternative campaigns you will definitely get a reward. which then sells profitably. This rarely happens.

That is the case, now the market is saturated with different tokens and therefore many of them simply can not survive in this market and their price falls to almost 0.

Actually, airdrop is a good and easy program to follow, I felt it last year. Yeah, in 2017, I sometimes joined airdrops and I really got the legit rewards and token. I really loved it. But in this year, I should really be careful in choosing the right airdrops. Yeah, you're right. Many airdrops are now scams or not legit for the token price. But actually, there is still few airdrop program that can make you feel desired to join. Of course, you may do deep research on it. Recently, actually, I don't follow the airdrop programs. But sometimes I find some good airdrops as part of bounty program from a good ICO.

I have applied for about 100 airdrops this year, of which 25 tokens have been  distributed and some are still being processed. Of the tokens I have recieved, about half are tradable. I think at least 25% that I have applied for will not pay though.
