Can we truly have a fully decentralized system? For example, we control our own money, properties, internet etc. If we can, how can we achieve this and what obstacles can we face? I want to control my money and I don't want my government to control what I see on the internet. There are ways of overcoming some of these but the whole internet is coming from the ISPs. We may have a satellite(Elon Musk) for internet which makes the decentralization easier for us.
I don't know how's that going to be possible and how can we structure the civilization to make it decentralized, in the history of civilization decentralization is none existing, it could be chaos because each one is on its own, without interference to government or group or company,
we cannot implement full centralization but I'm ok that some areas of our lives can be decentralized and the government cannot interfer on that.

This is going to be very difficult to happen. Religious beliefs, race, politics and business will make it tough. And even if decentralization on everything ever happens it won't lasts long. People on top will always try to make sure they continue their reign at the top. Governments imposing regulations in order to control its people.

Fully decentralized have good and bad effects. When everything is decentralized it will also possibly make it hard to track on bad elements. The most livable countries in the world will probably make its citizens decide to let the current system remains. While poor and countries with most unsatisfied citizens will vote for a fully decentralized system.

Not everyone can have their own satellite, not everyone can have their properties and so the complete decentralized world is not possible. We may control our money by ourselves if we adopt to cryptos but still its not going to be complete decentralized since we have to pay those coins to some merchant if we want to buy something.

No, we cannot have our own satellites for sure. Please check Elon Musk's Starlink project. It is providing internet to the world through many satellites. There may be an ICO offering decentralized internet through satellites. Well, governments may shoot these satellites in the space if they want to block our internet but it is very unlikely. For a decentralized world, we need a decentralized ISP definitely.

I'd say that it's next to impossible to achieve an economy that is fully decentralised.

There are certain parts of the clog that is simply unfeasible or inefficient to decentralise. You've seen how decentralised exchanges have performed, for example. Cross currency trading has always been an issue that we've struggled with despite the best attempts at decentralising the entire process.

Escrow platforms (in broader terms, ebay, alibaba, etc.) are likely going to continue to be centralised to some degree, and they really make up a ton of global retail trade right now. It makes sense to remove the middlemen in terms of a currency and decentralising the currency supply, some other things we just have to accept that there is a degree of centrality with.

I think decentralising property related matter is complicated. actually, confusing. How can property be managed on blockchain. Something like the sending the property doc to the address of the buyer? When we do not know who holds the address then how can we figure out to whom does the land belong.

i don't think we can ever make the entire world decentralized, i don't think that can even work. there are a lot of aspects in our lives that work a lot better if they are centralized. not to mention that it is always in human nature to follow a leader (aka the centralized power) and give up their own control. and in many aspects this works fine.
but in other things, for example a payment system, reaching full decentralization is possible. we have already done it with bitcoin and are increasing it every day too.

Aren't we controlling our money through cryptocurrencies? So, this shows that we are fully capable of having our own judgements. I asked that what obstacles we can face while decentralizing the other areas. This is not an easy process but it seems possible. It may not be in the near future or we may need to go another planets but this will be happening for sure I guess.

There can easily be a decentralized world but the question is; will everybody love the idea of making the entire world decentralized ? Once there are people who are solely into the idea of controlling and managing the in and out flow things, they will fight against making the world decentralized. Due to the existence of these people, decentralization will just be a fantasy rather than a reality.

My thoughts exactly. A decentralized world is really possible IF everyone is open and accepts the idea when it comes to it. Unfortunately, adapting to change is something people could not do easily as there will be factors who will be against it, be it things but mostly, people too. So I definitely agree that whatever we think, most of it will go down the drain and will only be fantasy.

Full decentralization is not only possible, but inevitable. The only reason why this is still not the case, too much would have to be destroyed if such a world order were established. It used to be very romantic to make a revolution, but now such actions can be regarded as terrorism, and this cools the most violent minds well. We have to wait patiently when obsolete things themselves do not work out their resources and go to the dustbin of history or to the museum. But the inevitable is inevitable, and time works for us. How far you understand about decentralization? It might be possible for some people but not for 8 Billion people. Really, do you think it's easy to make the whole people in the world completely decentralized? It means that you control everything you have without any third party. Imagine the whole world population becoming like this, still you think it's possible?

I doubt that you are decentralized. I bet you are still using a centralized exchanges, using wallet from a company to save your funds and many other centralized product. No, it's not even possible for you to be decentralized so stop dreaming of a full decentralization.

fully  decentralize  its impossible , There  is no way the government can trust individual  fully  and  there no way individual  can trust  government fully. there are  many things  that needs to be decentralize but  some others thing must  be centralize. Decentralization have allot of advantage also  have  allot of disadvantage. We all thinking about decentralization of money but how come if someone stole your asset from your  wallet and you cant  track it.  individual need to their  freedom but they also need to  be protected  so it make it impossible for fully  decentralize the world.

The thing about decentralizing everything in our world is not possible. There are things that are intended to be centralized and controlled by someone if we push to pursue a decentralized world that will be a world without rules and people will do whatever they want because they are in control of everything.

If the government will allow it then it can be but lets face the reality. Most of the governments are corrupt and that is the truth and they want to use their power to control everything in their country and fiat currency is one of them.

Having a fully decentralized system globally isn't possible for me but having a decentralized currency system like Bitcoin aside from our centralized currency system which is the fiat is possible.

ISPs are as strongly connected to the internet as the governments and banks are to the money. I don't think we will ever have a fully-decentralized world, where these institutions will simply give up on control. They can't even let us have our privacy, let alone control over the funds and what not. No, if you want it, you must take it yourself. Use crypto to control your own money, and use VPN to protect yourself and bypass censorship and geo-restrictions. As for the rest, well, some things can't be helped.

It's not really possible to decentralise every thing. Some things are better being centralised for ease of usage, access and regulation. Decentralising everything means putting the power in everyone's hands, where anyone can do whatever suits him without any form of accountability or fear of being checked.

No, I don't think that is possible. Obviously, some big people will not allow it to happen. Besides, a compete decentralization is risky, because there is no regulation at all. It is prone to scams and the likes. There must be an authority atleast in some aspects so that it can be regulated.

if its possible to have a decentralized currency/payment system then i think its also possible for other  stuffs to become decentralized and like what you said there are satelite that can bring dex internet  . they can start to implement it  , one at a time then after that we can advance on creating dex electricity and so on  .  you said you dont government to control your money ? then stop using local currency and switch to cryptocurrency  ,that is your best option for now since its there is no dex fiats so far

Most people would actively shun decentralisation. They don't want the hassle or responsibility. They want an easy life and someone to do the hard stuff and moan to when it goes tits up.

Even at this still earliest of phases you have a very, very vocal element who want to chuck what decentralisation there is away in Bitcoin even though if they do the value proposition is nil.

Maybe in future it will be possible to live a life with many more of those principles in play. You'd definitely remain in a microscopic minority.
Indeed. And then they just rant and rant about how institutions fail tondo their jobs when in actual fact, institutions are doing their everything but it's just couldn't handle the amount and couldn't cater to everyone all at the same time.

There are also a lot of risks involved since no controlling party could manage the information the world has. This would make researches a bit kore difficult to perform or even world stats would become inaccurate unless everyone was asked to be involved in a survey or some sort.

We can so that on our own but it's impossible to implement the decentralization worldwide for now. There will be lots of conflicts and the government will surely go against it. It will bring a lot of risks and might bring lots of negative advantage at the same time. It might also increase the percentage of the crime rate. However, we still got no idea about the future. Nothing is impossible in the advanced technology that we have.
