Can we truly have a fully decentralized system? For example, we control our own money, properties, internet etc. If we can, how can we achieve this and what obstacles can we face? I want to control my money and I don't want my government to control what I see on the internet. There are ways of overcoming some of these but the whole internet is coming from the ISPs. We may have a satellite(Elon Musk) for internet which makes the decentralization easier for us.

The world will be ruined if we have the fully decentralized system all over the world. No one can control you which means you can do everything. Yes, people wants to have a privacy but we need to be controlled because every people will not be responsible to what happens to your transactions. We have different mindset and different ways of thinking.

That is hard to imagine. If we will shift to a decentralized system all over, we will have anarchy. The most powerful mob will rule. You erase centralized governments and you will come up with a country, if it can still be called such, without peace and order. It is always nice to imagine absolute freedom without any kind of control from the outside. But be careful what you wish for, that is a double-edged sword. By nature, people need control.

You want absolute freedom in terms of property without legal titles, deeds, government records, etc? In a day or two from now, your house will be forcibly taken from you from someone else much stronger than you. You want absolute freedom with the internet? Our web will be full of hackers, pedophiles, selling of drugs, arms, illegal services, etc.

I say regulation is the key. A regulation that favors the people.

its not possible. there has to be an authority out there otherwise its just going to end up chaos because everyone wants to rule the world. not everyone just want to live peacefully being a farmer and eat what they are farming. today you can see already wealth is not equally distributed, decentralized as it is but not everyone are happy with what cryptocurrency had achieved. they are going to ask what about them?

Many people want to be fully decentralized, it's only natural. Because every human needs privacy. But as humans who have to live
in groups, it is very selfish if we force our will. And in group life there must be a leader, in this case the government taking over. Because
if a group without a leader will be chaotic and out of control. For the full life Decentralized impossible to materialize. If it is limited to
decentralized payment or currency, it is still very much reasonable. But if it is fully decentralized in all areas of life, it will bring new problems.

Anything that is too much is not good. Total freedom or decentralization may be good to hear but once it occurs people would do as they please, and I don't think each individual is responsible enough to even handle their own matter. Imagine being decentralized and a crime or fraud is committed, there will be no law that could govern and handle or even an entity to investigate such event due to being decentralized. Somehow, government still plays a great role on how things are working right now.

I think unlike what you are probably thinking, there are a lot of people who don't like decentralisation at all, and much prefer their assets and everything in life to have the government involved, have structure, and they don't mind the government taking a look at all of their information.

I think that could very much happen though, we can easily live in a world where decentralisation has taken over and we control everything, but I doubt more then 1 percent of our society would actually like a world where everything is decentralised.

It's still so hard to see full decentralization. As time goes by, are privacy is dwindling as technology continues to develop further. Even though we have Bitcoin to start, I think it's not enough to defeat the government's control over our privacy. Also, decentralization means there would no governing to the populace which I think would create a lawless world were there is disarray everywhere. Not good don't you think?

I'd say it will take more than Bitcoin to fully decentralized our world if we're to headed that way, we're probably be dead by then.

Decentralized world would be an utopia society. It would be free of personal ideology and bias. It would be really difficult to achieve this in the earth but could be the only option for colonizing different parts of other planets. The colonizers should be selectively chosen to restrict any extremism and they be judged by their performance and results.

There are parts that need to be decentralized and some parts to remain centralized.

Like the government should remain centralized so that there will be no chaos. And the internet and personal finances should be decentralized. Pushing a fully decentralized world means everyone will be on their own and there is no control. That will give us more harm than good.

I also think about it,
actually decentralization will be very easy to get, if the government does not participate in regulating bitcoin, such as complicated regulations, and of course taxes,
if bitcoin can escape from these two things, decentralization can be implemented and fully ours,
but the question is, can these two things be eliminated?

It is never possible to make the entire world decentralized. As humans as we are, some people will also love and want to be in control of the movement of things and will prefer to have a centralized environment where they are in charge of everything.  you think of this, do you think China, USA, Russia and other developed contries will like the idea of making the world decentralized ? There is no way they will.

Make the world fully decentralized and make chaos. Imagine no people would pay taxes, government without control or tax to your incomes, properties, etc. Then the government will collapse with lack of funds. With no government, there's no one to enforce the law. Then all things will come to a downfall, people won't follow anyone, they'd live in a lawless manner. Don't expect every people has morality to always do what is right, our society ain't a perfect one. In short, it's impossible, or at least don't try to envision it. Centralized systems are there for organization, not only to control people. Negative effects of being centralized only starts with corrupt people and practices.

To summarize, I do not agree with this idea. A decentralized one is a place where no people would follow no one. It's chaotic.

There can easily be a decentralized world but the question is; will everybody love the idea of making the entire world decentralized ? Once there are people who are solely into the idea of controlling and managing the in and out flow things, they will fight against making the world decentralized. Due to the existence of these people, decentralization will just be a fantasy rather than a reality.

You cannot decentralize all things. Some things makes sense to be decentralized, because they are too public, not private. A currency is an amazing example, and there was none since bitcoin. Maybe gold before?
I believe governments should be more decentralized...

But companies shouldn`t be decentralized, for example. Some times it is good to find the ones responsible for running things.

I think some aspects of life are just too hard or not really worth the effort to be decentralized, but there are some parts where it's definitely useful, for example. It's been proven that a fully market economy wouldn't work as well as we think, and the government is definitely needed.

The finance industry - I think there's a world where everyone can totally manage their money, with banks not being as popular as they are.
Internet/ISPs, online shopping, real estate - I reckon this could all be done by cryptocurrencies and made decentralised.

Most people would actively shun decentralisation. They don't want the hassle or responsibility. They want an easy life and someone to do the hard stuff and moan to when it goes tits up.

Even at this still earliest of phases you have a very, very vocal element who want to chuck what decentralisation there is away in Bitcoin even though if they do the value proposition is nil.

Maybe in future it will be possible to live a life with many more of those principles in play. You'd definitely remain in a microscopic minority.
