I just read this news and it is indeed an amazing one. There are people truly making it big in the betting industry and sincerely, I'm tapping from their grace at every instance I could.
Now with regards to your questions, from the news shared,the news of the winning wasn't shared intentionally by the winner because it seems he had no other means to confirm his winning but to the physical casino and the cashier there was a lady who couldn't even hold the joy and shock from such winnings,
I also noticed that the winner was first in so much shock and had to go wash up to say a pray and I could feel the joy in his face.
It is also true that the heart of men is desperately wicked and I think the best the winner should do is first relocate to a better and safer environment where he isn't known to atleast pit his head down and know how to spend the funds.
Congratulations to the winner and he should try as much as possible to tip the people present over there.

Multiple red flags on this story. First of all, most of the gambling sites will not allow 50,000x bets. I have seen up to 1000x in Satoshi Dice a decade or so ago, but I have never seen these sort of odds. And secondly, gambling is banned in Nigeria, including the online variety. Even if this guy won the bet, how he will be able to claim it. The authorities will notice the transaction if he sends the amount straight to his bank account. Then they will arrest him for participating in illegal activity (i.e gambling). And then, the "anonymous" part. How we will be sure that this is not some cheap PR tactic from the gambling site, to attract more customers?

When we do talk about gambling then chances and probabilities on hitting jackpot would be always there although it is almost close to impossible but still have those odds or chances.
You cant really see these hits too often and its normal for a established casino or bookie to pay up if they are that reputable enough or been known because if they wont

Early Christmas present indeed, just in time for black Friday. Hope they don't blow that money in a second because money that comes easy can also be lost easily.

And surely there will be bad people who will stalk the winner and try to get the winning money. If we are winners, we must be careful, especially if the casino writes our real names. Big wins attracts jealousy. Some information are best kept to ones self. If i get such win and keep it to myself it doesn't change the fact i won a huge sum neither will it take the money away from me.
